Still new at 200K!

My Volvo has over 200K and no serious issues to speak of. It’s very comfortable for long drives. It’s also excellent plowing through deep snow and ice covered roads.

Best car ever made is the XC70 with the 2.5 L moto

I purchased a 2005 Volvo XC70 brand new. 18 years later I'm still driving it, it still looks brand new, and I wouldn't give it up if somebody offered me $20,000. Over the years I've kept up with maintenance and kept everything new mechanically and cosmetically simply by caring for it. I don't even need a third car anymore but I wouldn't let this one go. My second car is a 2009 Volvo V70. It only has 70,000 miles on it ironically my 2005 XC70 has 170,000 miles on it and has held up better then the 2009. My third car is a Dodge enough said.

A Safe, Fun Car to Drive--A Lot of Maint.

I think Volvo makes a great car albeit over-priced. ...but then, they are the safest on the road. Also fun to drive. This was my mom's car and so it has emotional connection. I bought her from the estate. ;-|

Most safe car I’ve ever owned

Love the car, feels nice to drive. Handles well, nice motor and interior. The only thing I dislike is during stop and go traffic it seems to have a hard time shifting in and out when stopping and going.

My favorite vehicle so far.

I love this car! Thick leather interior makes for a very comfortable ride. It has plenty of legroom for me im 6' 4''. It looks slow but has POWER on the highway.

It is a smart car to drive

My car has style and with 4wd you are not going to get stuck if you want to go off the bitumen , put a mattress in the back and go camping . I have seen one with a lift kit and big tyres , i am going to do that next , looks mean.

A maintenance nightmare

Volvo used to be associated with reliability. No more. They are now associated with fancy looking, very comfortable rolling pieces of mechanical garbage that require Volvo’s very expensive dealerships to service. They want you to think they are a luxury brand however they are a not quite luxury brand. They have relied on their reliability ratings from days long since gone. Terrible cars, horrible service prices and truly overrated. This was the worst car we’ve ever owned. I scrapped it because of electrical gremlins that multiple Volvo dealers and mechanics could not repair. I didn’t want to pass this junk onto anyone else, where it would leave them stranded. We now own a Subaru, and have no headaches.

Worst, most undependable car I ever owned.

This car cant go more than a few days without needing repairs of some kind. It has left my wife stranded so many times she gave up and bought a Subaru Outback. The Volvo is also incredibly expensive to fix. Absolutely a piece of junk.

Volvo FOR LIFE!

Love my 05 XC70! The XC70 was refreshed in 05 with some exterior details like front and rear silver skid plates and aluminum roof rails and interior improments and couldn't look any better! Great quality, design and comfort. Amazing space for everything you need and a joy to drive! This is coming from a 19 year old guy by the way. Volvo wagons are cool! Volvo for life!

Died at 120,000 miles

My Volvo XC70 was driven an average of 10,000 miles per year and regularly maintained. It was dependable up to the day it totally died at 120,000 miles. For a car that is known for its longevity, that is was too early! Volvo didn't care, just said sorry.
