Purchased a used car 2019,sonata. Under the impression that as a used car with a inspection done. That 3 months after purchase I wouldn't be told I need repairs in the future. Brakes,rotors,cv replacement. Felt like it wasn't worth the dealerships time to do it.

TLX platform is absolutely excellent. The car has fantastic road feel thanks to double wishbone suspension and redesigned chassis. The DCT transmission feels precision and having 10 gears puts you in the perfect torque range almost always. The engine is a Honda K engine that can handle 1k hp. I have fwd which is absolutely perfect, simple car. The SH-AWD system is truly best of its kind. The fact that this almost perfect platform was discontinued is a sad commentary on the state of cars.

The problem with the tlx is its vary noisy, I put better tires on it and that solved the problem, for that kind of money should not have that issue

We drove over to Jenkins Acura Of Ocala. We spoke with car salesman Anthony if they had any used Volkswagen Beetles for sale. Anthony stated they had one 2019 White VW Beetle at their used car lot. We walked over to the VW Beetle it was in great condition to be used. We tried to start the vehicle, the battery wasn’t pushing a current. Anthony retrieved a battery charger we waited about 5 minutes and the car started. However, Anthony explained to us if the battery was bad they would replace it for no charge. I explained to Anthony if it runs we would drive the VW Beetle after the battery is charged. This 2019 Turbo VW Beetle took off like it was new, it was fast efficient, we checked that VW Turbo Beetle out thoroughly, it was a perfect like new. We purchased the 2019 with a gap plan covering the engine, and transmission Anthony, and his sales manager to include used car sales, put that deal together for us. We closed the deal in about 1 hour. Then we took off and drove smiling and happy. One week went by and the battery did go bad. We called the Service Department, they offered to pick us up or bring the vehicle in immediately. We drove Jenkins Acura of Ocala, and sat in the waiting area for about 15 minutes when the service writer approached us, explained to us there was an item ordered for the car which they installed free of charge, it was a brand new console cup holder. They even gave us a courtesy car, and told us they would call us when the car was ready. The professionalism, courtesy, concern towards getting our 2019 Turbo VW Beetle fixed is a definite plus for a dealership who displayed customer care in every way. At the end of the we received a new battery and an expensive cup holder console free of charge. I truly believe the way you speak to the service writers, car salesman, and staff goes a long way when you want service done. This Brand New 2023 Acura Integra that they let us drive home or shop while our car was being serviced was great. The courtesy car was off the chain. If you want to purchase a new vehicle go test drive that brand new Acura Integra the response, horsepower, take off, totally cool car. Just don’t try to leave the state of Florida the vehicle will shut off! The service manager explained that to us before we left. He explained everything about that beautiful car! I had a 21 TLX advanced with the 2.0 L four-cylinder turbo and in 2023 I traded it for the TLX type S. What a shockingly different car. Granted the car probably has about 75 hp less than it should from the factory but, it’s easy to tune and mine is in the 435 hp range now. It was a great car to begin with and now it’s even better. There are a couple nagging issues with it: the brakes rattle, the Brembo brakes upfront, the pads on the inside, rattle like a bad ball joint whenever you hit a bump. The dealer couldn’t fix the problem and Acura told them “that’s the way it is, they are performance brakes“ well that’s a bunch of hog wash so I fixed it myself. Just an inexpensive shim on the inside pad and all was fixed. There are some long-term issues that IJust an inexpensive shim on the inside pad and all was fixed. There are some long-term issues that I am concerned about: the rear suspension plug for the adaptive suspension can get corroded over overtime and the entire car needs to be stripped apart to replace a wire harness. I haven’t had an issue with this, but I did grease my rear plugs just to be on the safe side. And these cars are known to have transfer case issues, resulting in a transmission replacement. Again, I haven’t had that issue, but the car only has 9000 miles on it. Just things that I am concerned about long-term as it seems Honda/Acura reliability, even though better than anything out there, isn’t what it used to be. But this is a fantastic car! And I would absolutely buy it again.
