I’ve owned my 2021 BMW X3 M for a while now, and it’s honestly one of the most underrated performance SUVs BMW has ever built. The S58 engine is an absolute animal — smooth when you want it to be, but brutally fast the moment you put your foot down. It still blows my mind that something this practical can pull this hard. The handling is what really sets it apart. For an SUV, it feels planted and confidence-inspiring, especially in Sport Plus. Steering is sharp, body roll is minimal, and it genuinely feels closer to an M3 than an X3. Interior quality is exactly what you’d expect from BMW — comfortable, solid, and well thought out for daily driving. Maintenance-wise, staying on top of service is key with these cars, especially with how hard they’re meant to be driven. I’ve learned a lot about the platform and common service items just from owning it, and having a knowledgeable BMW specialist makes a big difference. Nothing like it. Definitely a sleeper. A rocket on steroids. This SUV is race car built for the track but made for the road. It corners wonderfully especially on hard tight corners. It has a sport suspension which makes it ride very harshly on runflats but softens up on Michelins. I didn't buy this suv for gas mileage rather I bought it for fun. Yet it averages 21mpg around 75-80mph. The seats fit like a glove.

Shout out to Charles Reeves at BMW of South Austin for his great customer service, patience and expertise for my recent visit to repair my 2021 330i, which included an oil change, annual emissions check, recall for a starter, engine mounts and inspection/recommendation to replace a seat cover due to a tear that could not be restitched. He was always providing updates, and follows up after each visit and are truly appreciated!

I've had my X3M40i for 1 year and love it. Absolutely no problems at all. Just had my 1 year oil change and the oil was still clean. I highly recommend this vehicle !

I love my 2020 x3m. I will own this until the wheels fall off and replace it with another x3m. The gas mileage at 19.5 miles a gallon is the only bummer but it’s well worth it.

Love my car! Got the Metallic Carbon Black with dark front grill and Oyster leather interior. Fits me like a glove. Easy to drive and handles very well. I do not care for the auto shut off at stop lights. They couldn’t get the chip to delete that so it is what it is. If I put it into sport drive mode, it doesn’t do it. Also couldn’t get passenger lumbar, due to no chip, and I do miss that. Great on gas too!

The car performs well on the highway and has significant acceleration for Interstate driving. Ample room for vacation trips to take luggage and golf clubs.

I really enjoyed my experience with the service dept at Autonation (Honda). My service advisor, Simon, was top notch. He was friendly and detailed which you would hope for, but his communication was top tier. I received periodic updates on what was happening (my car had to be at the service center all day), and when he needed to give me news about the service technician's findings, it was prompt and the explanation was thorough. He answered my questions and didn't make me feel foolish for asking the questions I did (my understanding of all my car's components is limited). I also received text messages containing a report and a video done by the first technician to work on my car. I've not had that level of communication before and it made me feel like me and my car were in great hands!! I also felt very comfortable with the way the pricing for services was estimated to me at the beginning and then again when the most important update came and I was told of the results of my problematic AC. I didn't feel upsold. I know going to a dealership for service can be a little more expensive, but given all they did and how taken care of throughout the process I felt, it was well worth it! I will be back for all my services.

I’ve owned a 2020 x3m competition since the month they were released. First let me knock out rough ride thing. If you ride on the stock Conti summer tires all the time, yes it can be rough. I switched to to Michelin all weather after 11,000 miles and it made a huge difference! A much better more comfortable ride Side note: when I would swap Conti to winter tires also a huge difference! The stock summer tires that come on the car are incredible for handling on a track which the car was made for but, the car feels much better with Michelin all sports all seasons. This car makes me happy every time I drive it ! So much fun to drive!

Absolutely love this SUV. Had a M340i and it was quick, but this X3 M Competition is wicked. Love the quickness and the firm ride. Glad I made the switch. Lots of talk about the firmness and the rigid handling, but try one and see for yourself.

It's actually been about a year and a half now since I got a car from these folks, but after getting a couple other cars at other dealers, I've been inspired to come back to do this review. If you ever find yourself wanting to buy a car sight unseen, and have it shipped to you, without any drama or hassles, don't count on it. Unless you buy a car from BMW of Bend that is! Cheesy I know, but they did everything right, sent me photos and a video, got me an awesome rate at a local CU and even brought my car to my front door in a covered trailer 175 miles away, in the snow the whole way. It's a bummer that one can't expect a hassle free experience at all dealerships, but that's the way it is. Thankfully there are dealerships like Kendall BMW Bend!

Plenty of space. Smooth when driving on the road with pot holes etc. The panorama roof is very nice to have as it opens up the inside of the car and let’s so much better light in. Creates more space.
