I've had many cars and been around for a while and the car service and courtesy I've received from Holm Automotive and Chuck Loader are by far second-to-none; "THE BEST" car servicing I've ever received!!! I towed my "2006 Jeep Wrangler" behind my RV the previous day and when I went to drive the Jeep on the next morning, it was horrible!!! It was clanging and banging and screeching and crashing, I JUST KNEW I had ruined my transmission and transfer case!!! I googled a service repair station in Abilene, KS and from the reviews of Holm Automotive, I decided to 'creep the Jeep' into the station from Chapman, KS. and by the goodness and grace of God, I made it, driving in 2nd gear on I-70, on the shoulder, flashers going the whole way...it was BAD!!!. When I arrived, I realized this was a Chevy dealership, but, I couldn't drive that Jeep another mile. I walked in and immediately Chuck Loader greeted me with, "Good morning; I'll be right with you." I 'apologized' that I didn't have a Chevy :), but "would you be able to work on my Jeep?" I asked. "No problem," said Chuck. He pulled the Jeep into the shop, escorted me to the waiting area, offered me coffee & water, and stated the service technician would take a look and let me know what needed to be done. Chuck returned about 30 minutes later and informed me of the service required and that it could be done in 1-1/2 to 2 hours. I authorized the service and he offered me the use of the station's courtesy car to return to the RV park. Chuck called me a few hours later when the Jeep was repaired. I returned to Holm Automotive, where Chuck explained what was done, and that I shouldn't have any problems. Holm Automotive did a FANTASTIC job and my 10-1/2 year old Jeep runs like new!!! I am so thankful and appreciative for the wonderful service and courtesy I received at Holm Automotive. When the Jeep finally "gives up the ghost," my next vehicle is going to be a Chevy from Holm Automotive, and no matter where I am in the country, I'm coming to Holm Automotive to purchase it!!! I have despised dealerships my entire life. I would rather schedule voluntary dental work than go to a dealership! This was until I purchased a car of new technology, knowing a dealership would be the only place I could get service and repairs. I went to the local dealership in Salina and got what I expected, even a flat out refusal based on the model (not make) of the vehicle. So I went to Holm Automotive. WOW! What a difference! First my new 2017 Volt had a windshield warp. Jamie in the service department handled it extremely well. Their body department warranty replaced it and gave me a car to drive. No squabble whatsoever. At that moment I felt their desire to serve. It wasn't the vehicle they were treating, they were treating the customer's lack of happiness by fixing the symptom, the vehicle's damage. Then came my 2012 Volt charger went out. Greg in the service department handled it like my brother would have. He even charged my car while he checked on getting a new one under warranty, because he intuitively knew I would be running on gas until the new one got here. Then we had the 7500 mile service for the 2017. All it needed was a tire rotation, since most of the miles were EV and not gas. Again, they set a new standard. On the way there I realized a few things that it needed, so I asked if they could buff the paint scratches off the fender, remove the front license plate and download and install the phone/navigation Android auto update. It was Saturday. They weren't even staffed for detailing. The SERVICE MANAGER rolled up his sleeves and did it all while the update downloaded. Add to this that they didn't charge me. ZERO for extras and them jumping through hoops, and I gave them no warning, looking back that was mean of me. They cared more about the car and my satisfaction, than they did for themselves. Lastly, as my 2012 nears 5 years old and has 98,000+ miles. The axle shafts started clicking. I did not think it was Voltec related so I had no plans to have it warranty fixed. Chuck, the service manager, found a history of this problem and consulted a dealership in California (where the Volt is more common) and managed to cover the whole repair under warranty at no cost to me. He also provided a vehicle for the period they worked on it. It took longer than Chuck expected to get the parts, I fully expected it to take that long but it did not meet HIS standards. So Chuck had the car detailed for me when I picked it up, it was like when the salesmen present a new car upon purchase, and to think THEY paid ME! NEVER has a dealership done this, as a matter of fact such issues are why my blood pressure goes up when I near a dealership. Again proving, beyond any doubt, that Holm Automotive is the proven, four times, best dealership on the face of the Earth. Now when I go to get service, the 25 miles I drive to the dealership is a happy one with peace in my heart knowing I will be well taken care of. The 25 miles I drive home afterwards proves this to be true, every time. I now am a dealership advocate, as long as it is Holm Automotive. I post these reviews fully on group/community social media pages and recommend to friends that they drive the "Happy 25". I have provided "sales ups" to them for people who are local on a Chevy Volt Owners group that want to buy cars like mine. I tell everyone "If you want good Chevy, you just gotta go to Holm!" and I mean it!

My dash keeps saying service transmission had it back the the dealer 3 times and it has yet done it again so back to the dealer again! The interior has faded terribly and I keep it in my garage I work at home. The interiors seems cheap to me. The tires have faded they look so ugly. I am not satisfied with my XT5 at all. Key fobs went dead after 2 1/2 years so everytime I unlocked my doors the car alarm would go off so embarrassing. I am currently leasing it and plan on turning it back in when the lease is up and buying something else. I would of bought this XT5 but way too many issues.

I Just want to take a minute to rate my recent experience at Holm automotive on July 31, 2017. This was a very smooth process from beginning to end. ( I???m talking about buying a new auto) More specifically I would like to give high praise to Jeff Holm, Corer Neufeld, Pat Magee, Matt Holm, Hunter McMillen, and Tim Holm. All are professional! I had been looking to upgrade my 2014 corvette for the past few months, my dream corvette is a grand sport. I gave a call to Jeff Holm and he keep both eyes out looking for a new corvette . I had been in search of a used vehicle for a few months. I had found a Jeep Renegade at Holm in my price range and reached out to regard it. I could not have been more surprised be the professionalism and service that was offered to me there. I had been to over 6 dealerships and never received the kind of customer service, and work ethic that I did with Holm. I would love to explain in further detail below. The best part about this experience was the fact everyone was genuine. Everyone was happy to help, loved their job, and worked hard; I really believe that made the whole experience go very smoothly. When I first made the enquiry, Don Ballard, a salesman there immediately set up an appointment time. Before I arrived he had sent me a video of a walk around for the vehicle and stated he couldn't wait to work with me. This was nice because, he specifically took time out of his day to prepare for our appointment and reach out. This made my first impression start off on the right foot and it only got better. When I arrived, the car was already set to the side, gassed up, and ready to test drive. He was educated on the abilities of the vehicle and was ready to show other vehicles that met the same requirements I had. He made my decisions easy and once we decided on my vehicle it was a very quick process. I was drained from my search of vehicles the last few months, and to be honest I did plan on this visit going as well as it did. They were always willing to work around my schedule and by the time we sat down to do the paperwork, it was extremely efficient. I couldn't have been in there longer than 20 min. Jed was great, straight forward, to the point, and did his job marvelously. I will also state that he is the most well dressed employee, so good job:). Overall, as a small business owner, I truly believe companies should be recognized for exceeded excellence. The people that work there are phenomenal. I have, and will continue to send customers their way. I doubt I will buy a vehicle from anyone else ever again.

On November 13, 2017, my wife and I took our 2007 Cadillac DTS with 116,000 plus miles on it in for a "check engine" light consultation. As we pulled into the parking lot at Holm Auto Center, I noticed a Tahoe setting on a ramp display. I have admired those vehicles for almost a year, but having been a Cadillac owner for 34 years, never thought I could give up my Cadillac. While our car was being serviced, I asked Chris Eckert, if I could just look inside the Tahoe. "Sure, no problem" he stated. Looking inside was the beginning of a new relationship. Then Chris stated, "I was welcome to take the Tahoe for a drive". I responded with "No, that would be a huge mistake on my part." I walked around the lot some more being drawn back to the "gently used" Tahoe. Chris was still in the showroom. I told him I changed my mind and my wife and I wanted to test drive the Tahoe. We did and "the rest is history." Eric Altwegg has been our salesperson since 2000. Upon his arrival, we began the paperwork to work a deal, which included working with Corey Neufeld and the financial/used car team. There was a "drop dead" payment, which we had to have in order to make the deal. The team was amazing!!! Our expectations were met and to some degree exceeded. This is the kind of team we have worked with on 14 of our own purchases, The awesome service staff is another reason we remain loyal customers and make regular referrals to Holm Automotive. Tim Holm completed our visit on the day we purchased the Tahoe. He was rather surprised that we would no longer be Cadillac owners, but congratulated us on our purchase and stated how much he appreciated our valued relationship. Holm Auto Center is a "family" to us. They take care of us and we show our appreciation by providing referrals and my wife's outstanding baked goods on special occasions.

My wife and I wanted to trade in our older Ford Edge for a newer model. I was able to make contact with the dealership via e-mail and text message to discuss some initial pricing. I was initially contacted by Ashlee Dyer who was very helpful for me and with whom I made arrangements to go to the dealership and test drive the vehicle on which we had our eyes. Ashlee was very nice and helpful. At the dealership my salesperson was Darrin Smith. Darrin had the vehicle ready for me to test drive as soon as I arrived. He was kind and patient and was able to answer my questions. He was friendly and personable. When it arrived at the time to negotiate pricing and trade-in value, he listened to our needs and was very helpful. It was getting late, but he didn't tire of working with me and was just great. The financing portion was handled by Ben Ashmore. Well, he was really second to none. He was so very friendly. And anyone who has made a major purchase will know, there is a certain excitement about the purchase combined with a fair amount of anxiety about a major expenditure. He put me totally at ease. A friendly attitude, great sense of humor and patience made it the best experience I had ever had working on financing an auto. My wife and I have purchased vehicles before at other dealerships. I have worked with other dealers and have felt like I was being misled or "tricked." Or at other dealers that I should just feel privileged that they were even talking to me. Not so here! At Long McArthur I felt like each and every person with whom I had contact cared about me (I went alone on this excursion) as an individual versus just being a potential sale or commission. I am so very grateful for how I was treated by Long McArthur and all of the people, even the ones with whom I only had limited contact that are not mentioned here, there. Buying a vehicle is always a big deal, no matter the size of the purchase. Long McArthur will being seeing future business from us. And to be clear, here are the folks that treated me so very well, in order: Ashlee Dyer, Darrin Smith, Ty, Ben Ashmore and Kyle Davis. My hat is off to you. Thank you for being kind to me.

I bought an off-lease 2017 with 36k miles. I've driven it for a couple of months and love it so far. The auto stop/start takes a little getting used to, and if I'm going through a drive thru I sometimes pull it down into Manual just so it doesn't stop and start so many times. The exterior styling turns heads, and the interior is very luxurious and comfortable. It's a true pleasure to drive, and the automatic braking has already prevented a possible collision in a parking lot. The lane keep assist is also a great feature, especially if you are someone who gets sleepy driving.

Service That Does Not Disappoint

Since the purchase of my car in Aug 2015, I returned to Holm's to retrieve my traded in car (see earlier review re sales), for two oil changes, key fob replacement, reprogramming part, body work, and a recall. An important note is that I live in Manhattan 18 miles NE of my job site and Holm's is further west by 26 miles. They replaced a fog light without charge which they felt they should have caught when prepping the car for sale when I came back to retrieve my trade-in. At one point, one of the receptionists went out of her way to help me get my insurance paperwork from my agent. They had a loaner available for me when I had oil changes/reprogramming so I could visit family in Salina (if I wanted to) and offered to get my car to me in Salina. They met me at my job site before and after work for any of the other work they did for me. They replaced the spare key fob which we had not noticed was not a Buick key fob without charge. When programming the key fob an error code came up. They did not say anything at the time but simply ordered the part then called me up to let me know about the part which could affect my air conditioner later down the line and explained the error code did not appear at the time they prepped the car for sale and made good on what needed to be done without charge. I thought that was great when you consider that my air conditioner could simply have gone down and I would not have any the wiser. Dede in the body shop was equally accommodating with working around what was convenient for me and ensured I had a loaner car for the time it took to do the paint job. When I have chosen to go to the dealership and wait while having my car serviced, the staff has consistently been as attentive as when I first walked in the door in 2015 (not only attentive to me but to everyone who happens to be in the waiting area as their vehicles are being serviced. Though taking care of one's car might ordinarily be high on one's list as a fun thing to take care of, it is a pleasant experience when you go to Holm's.....they even have free wi-fi. After more than a year of interaction with Holms, I think they have been very consistent with their service and taking care of their customers after the initial sale. Last, but certainly not least: Greg in Service makes you feel like you walked into the bar in an episode of Cheers.....big smile AND he knows your name.

Have owned Equinox LTZ, Equinox Premier and this is a few notches above for sure. A lot of creature comforts, as well as safety features that are simply automatic and comforting. Feels solid, is quiet and has enough power.

Money Subaru in Salina, Kansas (honestly...it's the man's surname!) has the best in sales and service folk. I never expect from any provider "next day" service for a small problem. I am one those folks who maker sure a small or really small problem doesn't get bigger. Weather and humidity along with other stuff happens! But every time I need Mark Erlemeier in the Service Department, he is right there. He alone gets five stars. As for my Outback? She gets five stars as well. Purchased while I was still working, she was ready to take on Kansas winters. However, my husband's medical needs called upon me to retire early. Still, our car provides easy in/out access for doctor visits and an extremely comfortable drive. Finally, the doctor "tweaked" my husband's meds and we are back in traveling mode. For an AF man who flew C-130's in Vietnam and always wants to be in control, fortunately our Outback provides such a relaxed drive he is calm. He still tries to navigate! I LOVE MY SUBARU OUTBACK!

When I first arrived in Abilene, I had just had my car surprise me with an engine cutoff on the highway. Luckily, Abilene was my destination, so I immediately went into Holm (which is also a AAA certified/partnered service center) and had them take a look. Greg Bilderback (the service technician) listened patiently and intently to my explanation of the engine cutoff. He asked me a few questions and decided it might be my alternator, but to drive a little more and report back. When my problem escalated a week later, I went back. Greg was there and remembered my name and my original diagnosis. He looked, listened, and decided my problem was the alternator for sure. He offered to get me a rental car, but I decided just to wait, as he said it would take about 3 hours. He called quickly with an estimate after I left, and 3.5 hours later, he called to tell me it was all done. Greg even gave me a visual overview of all the work done and explained every step of the repair. I will be sad when I leave Abilene, because I have an immense amount of trust and respect with the Holm Automotive Center. I received a 10% discount through my AAA membership.

I've owned this car for 2 1/2 years. Initially it had some electrical problems but once that was addressed with a new battery, I've had no problems since. I drove from Wisconsin to North Carolina and got excellent gas mileage. Filled up before I left town, filled up outside of Cincinnati and made it home and still had half a tank of gas.
