My wife and I recently decided it was time to trade in her 2015 Mustang for a my comfortable and bigger vehicle. I narrowed the search down to either a Grand Cherokee or a Durango. The hunt was on to find the right one. I like using Cars.com for all my car window shopping. I found the vehicle we were going to buy from another dealership and when I called they sadly informed me someone had already put a deposit down on it. We were both pretty upset with getting excited about it just for it to be gone that quick. We almost gave up the search but then I came across an identical model from Key Jeep in Marianna FL. It was one year newer and priced cheaper. I thought for sure it would be gone but we got lucky. I’m so happy we did. Our sales rep was Dylan Pforte and come to find out his family had recently sold the dealership to Key after more than 60yrs of ownership. Our experience was so personal and down home feeling. Even though the family doesn’t own the dealership anymore it was buy far the best dealership experience I have ever had. And I have purchased from multiple different dealerships in the past. I don’t think I will be in the market anytime soon but if I am I can promise you that I will return to see Dylan for that purchase. 2019 Ford Transit Connect review
My biggest peeve is the tailgate isn’t powered. Ordered the top of the line mr Model sight unseen because my dealership didn’t carry them. I wanted all the bells and whistles. Powered lift gate isn’t an option. It is painful to my injured spine to lift it and manually move the rear seats. The grandkids love the 3rd seat and I love the storage space behind it. I have made a Sam’s run for the month and able to pack everything behind the 3rd seat. The inside is great for human comfort but not for shopping or I should say storing packages. To be honest, my front seats are ALL THE WAY back. I have plenty of room and that’s a lot. I don’t like being close to the steering wheel in case of an accident. I wish the slots for charging my devices weren’t so close to the driver’s cup holder. It’s too easy for liquids to Spill in them. The only other item I wish was different is I miss a hard copy manual. There are options I still don’t know how to use. My GPS is not updated because of that. I like the van. My grandkids and dogs like it. Tomorrow I will get up, remove the two blankets I have protecting them floors and spend hours vacuuming the dog hair out the fabric on the back of the seats and floors. I have leather seats but there’s still Too much surface that holds onto my Husky’s and Belgian Shepherd’s ‘Glitter’. I do have to double check my doors are locked when I leave them in the car with the AC running. I have to use the remote because the double tap of the horn alert is deceiving. It doesn’t mean the door is locked. I do appreciate how easy it is to unlock the car without having the remote in my hand. All in all, it served the reasons I purchased it. I do wish I had paid the extra money for the Sprinter. But it would not have fit in my garage nor my budget.

Had The Works performed today. It was my first time using Tallahassee Ford since moving from NY. The website doesn’t let you book online service. The website looks like nothing is available so I called and was able to get an appointment the next day. I was greeted immediately, everyone was polite and on their game! The work was done in 25 minutes to my surprise. As a former owner of an auto dealership up in NY, I can vouch that this is a competent well run business. The facility is clean, I was offered refreshments when I drove up far from what I experienced in NY. (No one at the dealership was aware of my experience in the auto industry). I have driven thousands of autos in my life, I have to say my Ford Edge is the most comfortable, well made auto that I have driven. Nice smooth ride, comfy seats and a solid built auto. Great value for the money! Just update the website to reflect express lane available and give availability for scheduling service online.
2014 RAM ProMaster 3500 review
I own two 2014 Ram Promasters. We use both for expedited freight, and we drive well over 100,000 per year. For my money, these are simply the best vans you can buy. Of the competition (Transit, Sprinter) they are the cheapest, by far the best in snow (FWD, no need for snow tires) and get the best mileage (20+ in summer, 18s in winter). Like all vans, resist the temptation to get the diesel - you won't save anything in fuel and when they break you are deeply screwed. After 3 years, I have 370k on one Promaster and 330k on the second. The Pentastar 3.6 is in every Chrysler, and generally it's durable, simple, and trouble free. The trans (contrary to what you've heard) has been in production since 2003 and is also in lots of Chryslers, and is basically bulletproof. The only fatal flaw with the engine is a valve problem that shows up around 150k. For me, it was more cost effective to replace the engine than to replace the head, but the good news is that junkyard engines are $1500 for one with less than 40k, and I changed it myself without too much trouble. Take the grill off, and these are easier to work on than a 60s car. If you did need a trans, they are also $1500 and a day's work to swap out. I did need a new engine in one van, but the other is at 370k and hasn't needed a thing, except an alternator. For towing get the Ford, but payload (4000+) and spacewise the PM wins. Tip: the 1500,2500,and 3500 PMs are identical, it is literally just the badge on the side. Same springs, same drivetrain, same cooling. So overall, I would have zero fear of buying another PM, miles are less important than you think.
