2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray review
On December 10th, 2024, I purchased a red 2015 Corvette Stingray Convertible 3LT from Country Chevrolet in Warrenton, Virginia. I have purchased 26 new and used cars in my life, and I have to say this was by far the best buying experience I have ever had in my life. My first car was a new 1980 Corvette, and I evolved into planning for my last car to be a red corvette convertible. After much research, lots of shopping, and numerous test drives, I found this car listed on-line at Country Chevrolet at a listed price in the range I was looking for. I called and set up a test Drive for the wife and me. We drove up to the dealership and noticed one or two folks outside who immediately said hi, welcomed us to the dealership and went to get the salesman for our test drive. The environment at this dealership was more welcoming than any Chevy dealership I had ever been to. When Kirk Hughes, our sales consultant introduced himself, we could clearly see we had found at great person to work with. Kirk is friendly, professional, and an absolute expert in corvettes and cars in general. Kirk is by far one of the best salesmen I have ever met. I consider myself a car person, as I enjoy buying, selling and talking about cars. I also perform much of the simple maintenance tasks like changing fluids, brakes and normal maintenance items. Kirk is truly knowledgeable and an absolute pleasure to talk to. After being at the dealership for a bit, I bumped into Kevin Bearce, another sales consultant and person we knew. He is another unbelievable friendly professional and a true joy to talk to. With sales folks like Kirk and Kevin, I would recommend Country Chevrolet to any and everyone, as they clearly only hire the best of the best. Kirk had three surprise visits by existing customers during our time shopping, and Kevin jumped in without skipping a beat, to assist in what turned out to be our purchase of the corvette. The finance consultant, J. C. Welch, quickly assisted in finalizing the sale at a price I considered fair. He too was friendly and professional in all. My whole experience at Country Chevrolet was completely different than my previous experiences buying cars. The atmosphere and attitude of the people was friendly, upbeat and caring. This tells me that the management and ownership of this dealership sets high standards for their people, and the result is great buying experience for a customer like me. C2 styling is one of the best that Chevy ever produced. This car will continue to go up in value every year, better than money in the bank. While being over 50 years old, I've never had any issues with this car, always starts right up, run great. Never overheats as I added electric cooling fans in addition to the mechanical cooling fan.

The C2 Corvettes were ahead of their time. The styling, handling, the performance were second to none. Sure we don't have airbags or the handling and performance of today's cars, but to think Detroit produce these cars back in the 60s is really remarkable.

2024 Chevrolet Corvette review
I replaced my 2019 Grand Sport with this 2024 Stingray, and while I really liked the GS I like my Stingray even more. The most succinct summary I can present of the two cars is the C7 is a muscle car and the C8 is a sports car, and I prefer the latter.

2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo review
I bought my '02 MC in April of 2002 with 11,500 miles; I still have it with 445,772 miles on the original motor. I replaced the Trans at around 350,000. It's an amazing car that still moves on the highway. Great decision.

1966 Chevrolet Nova review
Bought the car from a wreck yard and restored it to a 12 second strip performer. It was a real looker with white swivel seats, Electron Blue ext with hood ghost flames. My next door neighbor wouldn't let me sell it away to others. He insisted on buying it instead. He knew about the total redo and its good looks and value.

1967 Chevrolet Camaro review
My first car, and I loved it. 8 cylinder, 350 engine, glass pack mufflers, 4-barrel carborator. Lots of power, lots of fun, it was painted stock "metallic blue" and had as long a hood as a Corvette at the time. Wide white wall tires were also popular at the time. Bucket seats were good for comfort. Installed an 8-track tape player. No cassettes in cars back then! Fast and good handling!

1964 Chevrolet Impala review
This car was gifted to me in 1983, with 164K. Factory air that would freeze you out! 327 4 barrel, 2 speed poweglide transmission. About 16-18 highway. Easy, easy, easy to work on. And, the very best car I have ever driven in snow/ice. (My grandparents didn't opt for power brakes, so there was much better braking control). I drove it until I heard what sounded like a shot. The differential had a hole blown thru it from the inside out. That was at 383K with nothing more than a valve job at 200K. What a car!!!!!!!

Of the 5 identical vans we were looking at, it was the most expensive and not even the lowest mileage. This vehicle was not ready to be seen by potential buyers.
2018 Chevrolet Camaro review
I have a 2018 SS a d I love it. With 455 hp and 455 lb ft through a 6 speed manual and quad exhaust, 8" screen, deluxe instruments, full LED/ HID lighting, spoiler, splitter, diffuser, K&N filter, tinted windows, and a Pioneer TS-WX1210A powered sub it rocks inside and out. Great car.

1989 Chevrolet Camaro review
Shiny Red 1989 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z. This is my favorite generation of Camaro. I recall the IROC races with identical prepped cars, and driver skills is what won races. Mine is in great shape; body and chassis still tight, suspension taught. The car is most noted for its handling and near the ground stance. All 8 fuel injectors have been replaced, as has the brakes. It sports new B.F. Goodrich T/As, serviced 4-speed auto transmission and requires only air conditioner service and some cosmetic work. Care has been taken to keep the car as stock as possible; although, the relatively new Flowmaster exhaust does sound great. If you were in high school in 1989, you know what this car is all about.

2007 Chevrolet Corvette review
I got my 2007 C-6, in Atomic Orange, in 2020. I found out about it from my sister’s youngest son’s girlfriend, who also was my oldest grandson’s pre-school teacher. Her mom was the executor of her cousin’s estate and had moved the car from her cousin’s home to her farm. Yes, it was actually sitting in a barn with a dead battery and covered in dust and pigeon droppings. The interior looked brand new. This was because after putting a new battery in, I saw that this 13 year old beast had only 6300 miles on it! The owner, who had passed away in 2018, had traded her 1992 C-4 in on the ‘07, drove it a few times and parked it because having double the HP scared her to drive it. Long story short, I saw it, drove it, fell in love with it and got it for a song! Took it home and immediately gave it a bath, using a foam cannon and microfiber mitt of course. Four years later, I’ve put another 7K miles on it and I have no plans of parting with it anytime soon! The only drawback is the interior, which is pretty much the cheapest looking interior styling that resembles an old Chevette. Chevy gave the C-7 a complete overhaul of the interior design in 2014. However, the outside looks great, the handling is superb and the 6.0 LS-2 has gobs of HP and torque. Awesome find after being retired for a couple years and living the dream!
