2007 Saturn Sky review

2002 Lexus SC 430 review
Never a "have to have it" kind of car guy until I saw, researched and drove this car. It's a solid, powerful, and super slick cabriolet that only catches the eye of the passionate. It has a beautiful saddle leather interior with gorgeous wood details and a really good stereo that rivals todays' car stereos. It has strong and silent 4.3 V8 that is top of the list reliable. I bought my 2002 in 2023 and fixed a few things with the audio system and is now a low-mile like-new car. I love driving it when I can and will til I can't drive anymore.

2002 Honda S2000 review
I have a Honda civic and a Honda CRV along with my 2002 Honda S2000. And I have to say with 158k miles on my S2000, it is the most reliable out of all 3 of my cars. All I do is regular maintenance, change oil, tires, battery..I drive it hard sometimes because this unique racecar for the streets requires it. 9,000 RPM's in this car is like 6,000 RPM's in my civic and 5,000 RPM's in my CRV and I should note that all 3 of my cars have a manual transmission. I don't know quite what Honda did with the S2000 but the engine in it, the F20C is extremely reliable, and I use to have a 94 RX7 and loved it but it was the opposite of my S2000 when it came to reliability but the drivability was about the same so if there was a car I would describe as close to the Honda it would be the 90's RX7..

2005 Porsche Boxster review
I have had 3 Boxster s over the years and this one for over 10. Loved every minute driving it. Great pick up and handling plus two trunks to allow for hauling things. A real head turner. Just need to maintain it for it to keep running well. I'm only selling mine cause we moved down a dirt road and its too rutted for a sports car. I got it for a great price, so letting it go for thousands less than it's blue book.

2003 Ford Thunderbird review
I absolutely love this car. My only wish is that I can find a Hard Top to put on it at a reasonable price. But I still love this car. I am sorry but I do. It puts a smile on my face. And I didn't have to pay a fortune for it either. It still looks like new, and it drives great, and it handles excellent. It is the Torch Red w/Black Ink Interior. And this is to the guy that says the 3.9 engine is underpowered, you are nuts, this thing screams down the highway, not that I am a speed demon, but it does. I don't know what else to say about this Thunderbird, but I wish I had bought one many years ago. Nuff said.

2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser review
Bought it 6 months ago, put on 7500 miles, now has 159,000. Not one problem, AC gets a bit cranky when above 100 degrees. Only cost two oil changes. Itza keeper. Now looking for a convertible version. Dont be afraid of high miles on these fun cars.

2018 FIAT 124 Spider review
I bought my 2018 Red Fiat 124 Lusso 6 spd manual with 5000 km on the odometer so it was pretty much a new car and it looked new. This is the most fun to drive car I have over owned and at age 73 I have owned plenty of cars over my years. It looks like an Italian roadster should look with long front hood with a short rear deck and looks aggressive. It handles beautifully and takes corners with absolute accuracy plus no surprises. This isn’t a vehicle so see often on the streets so it really attracts attention and is a real conversation starter. I have never owned a car that attracts people and positive comments like this 124 does. For me this isn’t my everyday driver but it is what I drive when I want to have fun. The trunk is big enough that my wife and I have done 2 week outings and can easily fit enough in the trunk. It is reliable and I highly recommend it.

2004 Ford Thunderbird review
This car is hot, but not a Hot Rod. It is a Luxury sports car built for cruising in style. Treated with the respect it deserves, it is strong, ready and responsive. 2003 Lexus SC 430 review
After 20 years of dreaming, I found my Egyptian Sand Pearl ‘03 beauty with 142910 original miles. Got most of its records and it had great care! I have changed all the fluids and timing belt water-pump Tensioner, thermostat, hoses & radiator to drive everyday in the summer and fall! Mileage on super has been 19.8 to 22 mpg mostly city driving ! It has been nothing short of a fantastic cruiser! Make sure you do the tb and wp every 9 yrs or 90000 miles and the engine will be bulletproof.

2009 smart ForTwo review
This is my 2nd one, 1st was used for a 150 mile + a day 5 day week commute to the DC area. It's in it's element for local driving, parking, mpg, fun to drive(especially with convertible). If you install a Scan Gauge and use the manual paddle shifters, mid 50 mpg is easy. Interstate driving keeps the mpg to around 42 +. 1st one had some issues, but incompetent mechanics were most of the problems. Replacement a/c hoses run $1200 each (2)does require Premium fuel, I alternated between mid & prem. each tank on the 1st. one. Get an extended warranty, any major repairs may have to be done by MB dealer.

2001 Jaguar XK8 review
I own a 2001 xk8 and have no regrets about this car which I use mostly on weekends. It is still a head turner when I sit at the light and other motorists come close up and recognize the beauty. The ego ge is quiet, it sits comfortably on the road and “ sprints out of the block very fast and maintains its incredible speed.” I love this car.

2018 FIAT 124 Spider review
Best covertible under $30k used. Italian styling/handling and Japanese reliability. What a car. As a previous 911 and SL 300 owner, I prefer this as a toy without the expensive repairs. All parts are Japanese and repairs are minimum. Best KEPT secret, buy a classic car, and enjoy for years! Handling is insane! Not a daily driver!

2002 Ford Thunderbird review
In 2002 they sold over MSRP adjusted for inflation @$54K in todays money- pricier than the 2002 Corvette and sold like 30,000 that year. I think that new car buyer had to probably be searching for the 1955 Thunderbird experience to shell out that kind of cash, and most people born on the 60’s and 70’s just didn’t understand that appeal. Oddly, the demographic that did BABIED their cars, kept up maintenance, have all the original tools and covers (just try and find that T-handle wrench for the hard top for example) when you get lucky enough to get a shot at buying one of these babies cars you’ll find they’re sharp and quick, amazingly so despite what people someone lent one to to write about said 20 years ago. Shod with 17inch tires 🛞 and solid suspension, people can complain about the horsepower being light, but stomp it and it will jump, zoom and weave solidly with the best of them. My drive home from buying this car was a blast. Will other sports models eke out slightly better speed, power and performance over these 20 year old T-birds? Sure, why not. Does it matter if you’re not at Road Atlanta? No. For me, this a sleeper sports car that’s about to bust onto the scene and see its reputation finally living up to the 2002 Car of the Year Award Motor Trend gave it. I think you need to find one of these babied sweethearts like I did. It’s a blast to find a good one and discover what an under rated blast it is to drive. Can’t really call it super nimble, but I respect mines solid ride and reasonably quick response & rocket like performance. The incredibly clean lines scream style visually and I suggest that a 2 tone leather optional interior is worth an extra $1K (over the basic. $11-12 K value) a hard top/rack/tonneau cover intact is worth another grand. ($13-14K total seems fair generally for a babied one). Check the rubber suspension parts underneath (inside the front wheel well behind the tire) is the easiest one to check quickly for rot w/o getting under the rear).

2017 FIAT 124 Spider review
My car has a name. I named her Felicity. I've owned 2 sports cars before, but only weekend cars. Now Felicity IS my daily driver and I love it! I get compliments and she's surly a head turner! Fiat is overall reliable.. also she's a little four cylinder engine. Specifically, that features a 1.4-liter MultiAir Turbo four cylinder engine. I was told to stick to the 2019 model and to avoid years 2018 AND 2020. Felicity is a 2019 and this year is selected for the best engine experience. But only has 26k miles only! so singers crossed that further expensive repairs don't kick-in in the future lol

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED my 2003 Canary Yellow Ford Thunderbird!!! Believe me when I tell you that when it came to performance, style and comfort - I couldn't have made a better choice in a Roadster! I was 50 years old when I purchased my 17k miles beauty and sold it 16 years later..after clocking a total of 256k miles. What else can I say? What criteria do you have in shopping your next used vehicle? 1. You want to buy a used car that is believed to be absolutely trouble free (Equivalent to a certified grade). 2. You are ok to buy a car at a fair market price (You are not trying to find a steal deal or to negotiate a price). 3. You hate sales pitch. Then go to Carmax. This is my best advice based on my past car buying experiences with all sorts of car dealers. You can't go wrong with Carmax if the above three are your criteria. Carmax set an extremely high standard in their car reconditioning protocols. Carmax certification is as good as manufacturer's certifications. Meanwhile, you will be discouraged if you come to Carmax in hope to find a steal deal, because all of their cars are priced RIGHT, and they never give you a room to negotiate over the price. This means that they don't play games, and they don't let you play games, either. They are fair. You have to be fair, too. A good news is, they don't try to steal your money. So don't try to steal theirs. However, I have one serious advice: Get pre-approved by a local credit union before coming to Carmax. While Carmax too does offer financing, their repayment rule has a catch. Say your monthly payment was set to $100. If you put $500 at once, you expect that the extra $400 would automatically go to principal payment, right? Not with Carmax financing. Instead, the first $300 goes to the three upcoming monthly payments, and only the remaining $200 will go to principal payment. If you intend to pay off your auto loan quick, this repayment rule that they set up is a deal breaker. A good thing is, they will gladly let you use your credit union financing; they won't pressure you into choosing their financing service. Good luck, and never go back to liars that live in the rest of the world.
