I have a 2013 SXT with Rallye appearance with 131,000 miles on it almost 3 years with it and I’m in love with it, where I leave we have an extremely hot weather reaching 52 Celsius during the summer, the AC is Icy cold 🥶, the cooling system has been surprisingly reliable for the weather we have, I only have done regularly oil changes, spark plugs, brakes and normal stuff nothing serious on it and I have drove it hardly and done many trips on it without any trouble, pretty comfortable and a great sound system mine has the Boston acoustics speakers and a sunroof, it has the 2.4 litter engine with a 6 speed automatic transmission and it’s just great is the third car we have at home with this engine and we really liked them and it has been a great engine for my family and I, even there are newer and more technologically advance cars this one has everything I need. Totally recommend it.

Bought the vehicle used with 90,000k. At 147,000k now for 3 years. Mostly highway driving. Downsides...Bad battery placement, poor alternator design, had to replace due to the pulley clutch. My 4cyl. Is a dog; way underpowered. The main power and is around 4,000rpm. That's really pushing this little 4 banger. The engine struggles over almost any grade in the road, especially in cruse. There are huge blind spots at the rear A pillar. The unprotected wires for the airbag sensors under the seats cause the airbag light to come on. Now the upsides. Best looking sedan in it's class, hands down. Alloy wheels, steering wheel controls, lighted cup holders, clean interior. Relatively comfortable seats. Excellent gas mileage (23-28mpg). The 6 speed automatic transmission makes the dogish 4cyl make the car driveable, as well as the slap manual for shifting. The radio has a HDD drive that holds a gig of music storage. Excellent sound system. Large trunk, rear seat access through the armrest. Overall; with preventive maintenance, driving responsibly, and regular oil changes/tune-ups I would expect another 100,000k (knock on wood).

Given that it is 10 years old if given proper maintenance it will last well over 250k...expect to put in the basics along the way, but overall not a bad car especially for someone who can do minor repairs on their own.

I am honestly an easy person with vehicles, as I don't know or understand them enough to care. But this car works for me. I'm 6'5 and have enough head room. It takes turns with out feeling like I'm about to fall. Great gas mileage. Had my first issue at 90,000. But it was human error, rock lodged in wheel near the break. Had to have new breaks and calipers put on. Works great still. I haven't had to take my care in for anything other than oil changes. And the periodic maintenance as needed.

I've owned a 4 cylinder SXT for 8 years now and I'm very happy with it. I bought it at around 50k miles and now it's at 93k. I've never had a problem with it. It's been a very reliable car for me, and that's all I really needed it to be. Personally my favorite thing about this car is the way it looks. This is the best looking 4 door non-sports sedan you're going to find. It looks really nice on the inside too (the cup holders glow!), however it is worth noting this car has massive blind spots due to its interior design. I've let a few people drive my car and they always comment on this. I've personally experienced a much lower gas mileage than this car is rated for. I track these things and I get closer to 18mpg, and living in rural Iowa, I do more highway driving than city driving. While this car looks kind of muscle-y on the outside, if you have the 4 cylinder engine, it is anything but. People who have driven my car also comment about how hard the engine seems to have to work to get any acceleration. It is definitely not a problem (if you want performance, get a sports car), but it is noticeable to people who are used to other cars.

2014 2.4 SE 4-Speed with 68,900 miles. With all the technology that newer cars come with these days, the 2014 Avenger is basic and simple transportation that does it's job very well. The Charger's baby brother still looks sharp, especially the 2011-2014s with the LED taillights. Other than an alignment, new tires and sway bar links, the Avenger has been perfectly reliable to me. I've driven the car to NYC a few times and it has never left me stranded. The hydraulic steering is direct and has good feel; even the base SE suspension is fun to drive but very comfortable. I average around 23 MPG city and 26 MPG on the highway. For downsides, the 2.4 is noisy, a 4-speed automatic in 2024 can be underwhelming at times, interior space is between compact and midsize (seats do fold down), the C-pillar is a big blind spot (I got used to it) and at least on the SE there is no bluetooth. That being said, the design dates back to 2007 and personally I prefer reliability over refinement which the Avenger has. If anyone is looking for a daily driver, I highly recommend a used Avenger that's been well-maintained.

My 2010 Dodge Avenger Sxt V6 is an absolute blessing at 234,000 miles. This is a ride or die type of car. I have only had to do basic maintenance. I cannot explain how dependable and overall how great this car is. I understand some are better than others, but I have driven this car nonstop, including back and forth to Cincinnati from Indianapolis over a matter of 3 years every weekend, and this car still amazes me to this day. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

this 2013 avenger 2.4ltr engine....hey...its not the v6...but the 340 v8 is not the 440....in a ford....the 351 is not a 427...yet those are all good engines....the four cylinder gets going quite nicely...its 173 hp in a 3200 lb car...thats pretty good...final gear is 3:91...(is that correct)...thats a nice final gear....that helps to get this 4 cyl moving...

Just bought 2014 Avenger. I new nothing about it. Love the red color and sporty styling.Just a good solid car without too many bells and whistles I don't need. Great 4 cylinder on gas.

This is my second purchase from Ideal. Found a 2010 Ford Explorer on their website. It was still in the process of title being passed to them. Waited and checked back with them 2 weeks later. I was able to get a chance to drive it and took it on the freeway. This time I requested financing which they carried out quickly and provided me with a very low finance rate. Yes, they did add for putting the auto in "ready" condition. My auto had just come out of auction which required cleaning and checking to make sure it was servisable. Dodge avenger is a good, I have used this car for 8 years now. The speed drops after 110 km/h a few times. I have changed plugs and feul pump but still. What is the problem, any help ? (Frank)

Vehicle is very reliable. We have put a lot of miles on this car. We've traveled from PA to NC and back numerous times over the years. Many, many trips from our house to our daughters college in Pittsburgh PA , which is 2 hours away, every weekend for 2years. Trips to OH. Trips to Myrtle Beach. My husband has a second job as a pizza delivery person 2 days a week for the past few years. We are definitely getting our money out of this car. When we purchased this car we were told it was a rental car. So it has definitely been run. We love it 💜

Bought a sedan for the daughter on a cash deal so never dealt with any financing. I knew going in that the car had a salvage title but it was newer and less miles on the odometer than average. The one guy seemed surprised yet confused when I brought it up but he confirmed it later. I knew this by googling the VIN number and discovering it was bought at auction in Columbus and actually seeing the "before" pictures from there. You folks should try that when buying. It was priced accordingly and the mechanic/body guy did a good enough job replacing panels and windshield. Drives and brakes straight, no shimmies and it'll work. Just skipped a few minor things though that are no big deal. Got title mailed in 2 weeks or so and paying cash makes it so easy. I had to replace brakes and one rotor but figured it was cheaper for parts and I do it myself than deal with his 50% co-pay warranty. My big tips are doing research on the VIN history and being heavily mechanically inclined or bring someone who is to "grade" the workmanship. Use the bathroom and take a quick peek into the shop, looked pretty straight up to me. Watch those mileages too and know what things are going to need serviced soon (e.g. timing belt, transmission, tune up, etc). Watch for "stale" cars that been there that seems forever too. I'd buy again if the deal is right. I'm actually writing this as I'm checking his lot online. Originally found him from Car gurus on that Great or Good deal Nissan once I looked past that rebuilt title. I'm usually the last owner of cars and drive them until they totally die so title status means nothing to me anyways. You'll need a bit of time if you try to finance or there are 2-3 customers in front of you. Same car, same mileage but clean title was $3,000 more at a regular branded dealer so my time and understanding that it was wrecked was worth it. Overall, it's OK but keep these points in mind.
