I bought the 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 SLT Mega Cab Diesel Heavy Duty as a dealer demo with 8,000 miles on it. Didn't need a mega cab but needed to replace my 1996 so they offered it to me for a deal I couldn't refuse. I have to say, it's a monster and I love it! Have had minimal issues other than the ECM going out at 110,000 miles and Dodge wouldn't warranty it. It tows anything I hook up to and with diesel prices in CA, I can brag about 17 to 21 mph around town and 27 to 30 on hi ways. Towing can cut mpg in about half, if you get stuck in slow lane up a grade, but still, who can boast about that with 195k miles on it today. I agree with the reviews on parking and turn ratio but I can back it in easier than doing a 3 point pull in at any parking lot. How's that for lady with a big truck!!

I purchased my truck new on Dec 31, 2002. It is an 03 crew cab, short box, Cummins HO, 6 speed manual. I still own it today with 315,000 miles very few repairs, oil change every 5K, 3 front end rebuilds, one water pump, a fan clutch, a new drivers seat pad and bottom cover, and a steering gear box. Surprisingly enough, I still have factory injectors. Absolutely the best truck I have ever owned BY FAR. Still gets up to 27 MPG and can pull just about anything you hook onto it. still looks new inside and out. I recently converted it to a dually to make it even more stable pulling my fifth wheel. Seems to be worth more today than what I paid for it 20 years ago.

Only problem iam having is the power steering is spraying all over my engine and can't find the leak because it's all soaked and it's a small block so ia guessing a 318 or maybe a 360 throttle body I think tiny extended cab can't sit behind it it's a shorted 4speed with granny 16 inch wheels with stock beautyrings just got it so don't no much yet it's clean want to trade for motorcycle

Bought 2006 Ram SLT 4x4. Still own it. 246k miles. Standard maintenance, shocks, struts, power steering pump. Little rust required. Truck is more than most can expect. I wanted a truck that would last and give good service.

We stopped the Corwin Lot a few weeks ago looking for an AWD vehicle with some extra space. Jared showed us a nicely finished Traverse with low miles. We were on our way home 170 miles away and told Jared we'd think about it for awhile. Jared kept in contact w/o any pressure just to see if we had any questions or if we were interested in something different. After some clarification we agreed on a price and that we'd pick it up on the day before Thanksgiving. We bought it "as is" w/o warranty. Later that evening, when the instrument cluster is well lit, we noticed a check engine light was on and then later the Auto-Start failed to work. I stopped by Fri morning to see Jared, and he took it for a drive and just told me to sit back and have some coffee while he looked into it. Despite being a very busy post-holiday Friday he got it right into the shop w/o an appt and they dug into the issue and repaired it right away and covered the whole cost of labor and parts. The newer cummins 6.7l diesels have a variable turbocharger, which is not as reliable. They are also strangled by extensive pollution devices including DEF fluid. These modern additions do NOT add to reliability and most definitely negatively affect fuel economy. This truck and engine combination will run forever.

I have 411,988 miles in my 2005 dodge ram Laramie 4x4 6 speed Cummins diesel.. For an 05 it’s unusually loaded… power leather heated seats factory moonroof factory blue tooth navigation … I don’t know of any option not ordered. This truck runs and drives absolutely amazingly. Only second clutch second set of injectors.Original fuel delivery offers no issues … I service myself with only the best OEM or better parts .Custom dual exhaust sounds awesome…Id drive it anywhere anytime.Have 411k in this and 352k on my 2004 Hemi ram…. I call them my Semi and my Hemi…750,000 miles between the 2 and both original drivetrains…. Love it when people say Japanese cars are the best… I say look at my 2 Dodge odometers!!!

I bought this truck brand NEW, I now have 362,000 miles on her and she is still running great. My only repairs were a shaft in the transfer case and new bushings in the rear suspension. . I am planning on replacing the front struts and I am thinking about 3/4 ton leaf springs. Why ? Because the truck is used as a truck not a family sedan. But I can see why people use it as a family sedan. Rides like one. . I will never sell this truck. Best truck I ever owned ! Thank you Diamler Chrysler. Awesome truck.

Drove from California to Arkansas pulling heave xxx 39 foot enclosed trailer has plenty of power tow /haul and engine brake excellent for slowing it down quick 105000 miles it squeaks on front end embarking for such a beautiful truck wd and hitting all zeros with fresh lube did nothing dodge. Should repair for free all Bush I ngs ans ball joints good inn er tie rods worn other than that it walks all over Ford super duty and gets 28mpg when not pulling a trailer

I have several vehicles including a 911 Cab, new Volvo S90 and Infiniti Q60 but I look forward to driving my Ram 3500 the most. I bought it to tow a 38 foot boat a couple of times a year but have ended up using it for so much more, its 8' bed and huge interior provide a load of room for whatever you need to move from furniture to hay and straw for our horses. Also love how freakin huge it is. :-) takes up the whole lane
