2020 Chevrolet Bolt EV review
Review: Living With 3 Chevy Bolt EVs for past 6 years Owning three Chevy Bolt EVs has been one of the smartest financial and practical decisions we’ve made. Each year, we’re saving $6,000–$7,000 combined on fuel and maintenance compared to when we drove gasoline cars. We get about 250-300 miles of range depending on heat and AC use. We bought them used around $20k each, had batteries replaced in 2020 so 100,000 mile warranty, can't beat it! Charging at Home Is Simple, either use 110v and charge overnight or upgrade 220v dryer plug We picked up a Level 2 home charger for about $150 on Amazon. Installing and running it is as simple as hooking up clothes dryer. The charger just uses a standard 240V outlet, and the energy demand is nothing unusual for a typical household. Pulls same amount of power as microwave or toaster oven. Real Cost to Charge Let’s run the math: Electric rate: $0.10 per kWh Efficiency: ~4.5 miles per kWh Monthly driving: 2,000 miles each car That works out to: 2,000 miles at 4.5miles/kW at 10cents/kW= $44/month So for just $44 a month, each Bolt drives 2,000 miles. Compare that to a gas car at 30 MPG and $3.50/gallon: 2,000 miles at 30MPG= 66.7gals times $3.50 = $233/month That’s nearly $190/month in savings per car, just on fuel. Multiply that by 3 cars and a full year, and the numbers quickly add up. Maintenance Savings Beyond the fuel savings, the Bolt EVs don’t need oil changes, transmission services, or exhaust system repairs. Brake wear is minimal thanks to regenerative braking. For us, the maintenance costs dropped to little more than tire rotations (free at Discount Tire), washer fluid and cabin air filters. Final Thoughts Switching to the Chevy Bolt has been a financial win and a stress reliever. Charging at home is as easy as running a kitchen appliance, and the cost per mile is dramatically lower. With three Bolts in the household, the yearly savings of $6,000–$7,000 speak for themselves, that over $40,000 in savings!

2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E review
I bought a 2024 Rally which is the highest trim in a Mach E . It is very fast and fun smooth on the highway and can be driven on a dirt track as well as used as an every day vehicle. My only complaint is the range could be a little better and charging should be faster because the vehicle is already in its 4th year of production other than that as a long time EV owner I love the car after a month of ownership.

2026 Chevrolet Blazer EV review
2026 Chevy Blazer EV is as reliable as my 2018 Chevy Colorado, never give me any hiccup. Blazer is superior than my 2020 Chevy Bolt EV in performance as well as the looks. I recommend every red blooded American to give this car a test drive and you will be blasted by it's performance. I love the regenerative braking feature that I barely use my brake and saving the brake pads as well as the environment. Especially in this high price gasoline world today.

2026 BMW i4 Gran Coupe review
I had casually considered electric cars the last few years and this year took a hard look at electric options, specifically BMW i4 xdrive 40. I couldn't be more pleased with the "electrifing" power of the i4, which seems faster than my two previous M340s. Several months ago, I purchased a new 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited from Main Motorcar in downtown Johnstown. The exact model I was interested in was unfortunately not available for sale at the time I first inquired at the dealership. Fortunately, I was notified by my salesperson - Shannon - as soon as they could custom-order the vehicle to my desired specifications. Ordering the Jeep was surprisingly fast and simple. I was provided with periodic updates as the Wrangler moved through the manufacturing process, too. I was given an approximate time frame for delivery and was pleasantly surprised when it rolled off the assembly line sooner than scheduled. Just before my Wrangler was scheduled to arrive however, the Nissan I planned to trade-in suffered an apparently common electronic failure. I began working with the original Nissan dealership (not Main Motorcar) to fix the issue and was charged almost $1,500 for the repair. Days later, I found out the pricey problem was actually covered by a recall; frustratingly, the Nissan dealership refused to refund my payment. Only after a series of phone calls to the unhelpful big-city Nissan dealership was I told to call the Nissan corporate office for a resolution. The folks at Main Motorcar were kind enough to step in and provide some much-needed assistance in dealing with the Nissan corporate office to help me obtain my refund for the now-recall-eligible repair. They were able to expedite the process with Nissan corporate... something the Nissan dealership refused to do. Even with the trade-in difficulties, I was offered a fair value for the Nissan from Main Motorcar. Months later, I am extremely happy with my purchase as well as my experience with the staff at Main... who went out of their way to help make the purchasing and trade-in processes go as smoothly as possible. Based on my experience, I have been recommending that my friends and family - and anyone who has asked about my car-buying experience - stop by Main Motorcar in Johnstown. They have earned a customer for life!

2022 Ford F-150 Lightning review
My favorate vehicle i have ever owned. Dont pay attention to unfounded comments by EV haters. If you use your vehicle mainly in a 250 mile radius this truck is perfect. I charge at home once a week. If you typically take long trips, it may not be for you. Front truck is invaluable. I have 11000 miles, and have saved close to $2000 already over a F150 ICE version.

2024 Ford F-150 Lightning review
This is my first truck and first EV, 2 in 1 for me. Pros: - Love the very smooth ride. Barely feel road imperfections. Very steady and stable on inner streets, highways, and around corners. - Acceleration is amazing for a large truck. - Big and comfy interior, front and back seats. Cloth trim and not leather. Plenty of storage all around, including under the back seats. Front trunk. Working table comes out of the right arm rest. - Basic but good infotainment system. Android auto works without connecting USB. Excellent. - Ford app is useful and basic for range, tire pressure, charging stations, and battery and remote car start and prewarming, Cons: - XLT: No front parking sensors. I would have expected a large truck to have them to help with parking. - Heated front seats but not the steering wheel seems cheap omission. - The arm rest compartment doesn't stay up and wants to fall when opened. - XLT has marginal battery travel range. Around 240 miles (per Ford, From 100% to 0%) in normal good conditions and normal weather. In real life, is lower. If u start at 90% (recommended charge) and recharge at 20% (per rec), then using only 70% of predicted range and add some cold weather that takes a lot of battery to warm and heat.. range will drop to around 140 miles. Meaning plan to charge frequently or daily, depending on ur commute and avoid long distance travel to avoid low range anxiety.. u don't want to have low range and start looking for a working and available charging station, to sit for 30 min or an hour to charge and keep going. I think extended battery should be standard, but that means more costs. - Ford blueoval charging stations are good and present in many areas and dealers, but the problem is that they might be offline, not working, occupied, and hard to predict availability which limits their use. So, having home charger is essential. - Wipers are horrible from factory. Needed immediate change. - Speakers are acceptable but nothing special. - Doors don't unlock by approach and touching the handles. Have to use keypad or key fob. - I opted for the 2K discount instead of the Ford promise home charge with installation offer as I was concerned with the fine print of "Standard installation" requirement and ending up having to pay out of pocket if Qmerit deemed my install as non standard and went with my own installer. I think the Flash edition would cover many of those cons compared to the XLT for around 5K extra.

2018 Nissan Leaf review
I purchased the 2018 Leaf new in 2018. The only maintenance I’ve had is new tires and windshield wipers. I’m very happy with the car as I only use it about town. I only wish the range was a little greater than 150 miles. It has gone down to about 140 after 6 years.

2021 Tesla Model S review
purchased used with 2,200 miles. At first, I hated it, I've never had an all-electric car and the batter was dead. Luckily they sent someone to jump it. I was still thinking it was a mistake, until I actually drove it and got to know it and learn it. Drives totally different than my corvette. Now I like the Tesla better than my 650hp corvette. It hugs the road like nothing, takes off like a bat out of xxxx. I felt safe and comfortable hitting the pedal to the floor and feeling the rush of this thing taking off and just hanging on to that jet style steering wheel.

2020 Tesla Model 3 review
2018 Tesla Model 3 Long Range RWD I purchased this car with a little less than 60k miles one and a half years ago for 21k. It now as 97k miles and the only maintenance I’ve done have been new tires and windshield washer fluid. Someone made a left turn in front of me and the car was already braking as I was lifting my foot off the accelerator. Quite literally saved my life. The suspension is tuned to be sporty, so it’s not a plush ride by any means, but it’s hard to beat at its price point in the used market.

The moment I got the demo car onto the highway, I thought to myself, “I LOVE this car!” Which rarely happens. I test drove both the Model 3 and Model Y in snowy conditions, and had not a single bout of fear that I may lose control. 2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E review
Exterior interior design of this car is absolutely fantastic! I got the premium edition with the premium interior and performance package, including special front air, dam, and Brembo brakes in the front. I couldn’t be happier with this car and in love with it!!! the front seats are a little stiff. Maybe that’s because it only has 5000 miles on it? I just completed a 300 mile trip and loved every mile.

2024 Ford F-150 Lightning review
My Ford Lightning is more than a truck. It provides all the options of truck functions at a fraction of the cost when compared to combustion vehicles. Being an electric vehicle, it can also power my home during power outages. This is huge as I reside on the coast and am prone to storms.
