Used Ford Explorer for sale near Kersey, CO

I was looking for a specific Ford Truck, a F350 Diesel. I found one on Cars.com that was at Interstate Ford. I live about 2 hours away from the dealership. I contacted Ryan Huber, one of the AMAZING sales reps there, by email. Ryan emailed me within minutes of my inquiry about the truck I saw and made an appointment with my that day to see the truck. Ryan was great! very low key, no nonsense, and helpful. not only did he show me the truck, he helped me through the purchase, financing, and final delivery, coming in on his day off so i could complete the purchase and pick up my NEW TRUCK! I purchased the 2022 Timberline preowned about 1 month ago with appx 50k miles on it. I was disappointed that it does not have memory seats or a garage door remote button. (I didn't even notice this when test driving it). Who makes a car today with all the tech this car has and leaves off these 2 things! The interior is comfortable & well laid out. The ride is smooth & quiet. 2.3L turbo 4 cylinder is quiet & has amazing power. At idle it’s hard to tell that the engine is even running. The prior owner put on Michelin tires which contribute to the smooth, quiet ride. The seats are ActiveX (Ford’s name for vinyl) with cloth inserts. I’m 5’ 10” and 175lbs. My son who rode with me is 6’ 3” and 250lbs. Both of us found the seats comfortable & supportive on our 1st road trip. I’ve driven a Kia Telluride, which is a direct competitor. The Kia has a little more tech but I found the ride to be on the harsh side, especially in the second row. This may be attributable to the low profile 21” tires. The Timberline has 18” balloon tires which I much prefer. 2 weeks after purchasing it I made a 2,200-mile road trip from Dallas TX to Orgon. Fuel mileage ranged from 21 to 28 with an overall average of 24 mpg. *if I don’t drive over 70 mph on the highway the fuel economy goes up to about 32! *these numbers are from the actual miles & gallons of fuel used, not from the dash numbers, which I found are a little optimistic. It has a few bugs that I’ll have to deal with, but it’s a used Ford & not a Lexus. Overall, I'd say I'm very happy with this car & would recommend it.

great comfortable car. Beautiful color, excellent trim options and reasonable fuel economy. Third row seating is there if you need it otherwise plenty of room for shopping groceries

I have bought a lot of vehicles in my life time but this was by far the easiest and most pleasurable car buying experience I have ever had. I sent an email to the dealership around 1:45pm to inquire about a car, drove to the dealership at 5:00pm and drove home at 7:30pm that same day. I love my ST all except for seating. I’m just not a fan of European style seating soo we had an upholstery shop up grade them. Sooo much fun to drive! Great gas mileage considering I’m a lead foot. And when needed you can put a full 4x8 sheet of plywood in the back.

Wife's car ,working at home not many miles low 20k as of2024 June. Still I wonder about trans fluid because of time. Problem that bugs me is the radio. Static in AM off and on ,and of course the business station 1220am about the market. UGH!! Third lease of explorer, so low in miles ,made it a purchase. 🤞👍

I love this vehicle. My 2022 Ford Explorer XLT far exceeds my expectations. Handling is great. Performance is far better than expected. Gas mileage is 26mpg combined average for the 16,500 miles I have on the vehicle so far. The interior fit and finish could be better and the original tires...not holding up very well. The vehicle is comfortable and always a pleasure to drive. I always get compliments on the exterior style. In my opinion, it's one of the better looking SUV's on the road. The rear biased drive train give it superior handling, better than anything I test drove. Chevy, Subaru, or the Kia.

Zack was great to work with. He listened to what I needed and he worked with the finance department i cant recall the gentlemans name but he worked very hard to get me into a car. And I think I got a good deal! Definitely 5 stars for both of these gentlemen!

2017 Ford Explorer. I love my car. It runs great but I have had battery problem and trim has blown off my car on freeway. Have not had a lot of problems with it.

Customer service was great service department was great the only complaint that I have is when I have an appointment for 1:30 and it is two and a half hours later when they get finished do not understand why it takes that long when you have an appointment

I often drive to the Michigan upper pennisula in the winter. This SUV has never disappointed me. One time I was driving up to Sault Ste Marie early in the morning. The road was slippery with blowing snow. The outside air temp was MINUS 41. i was alone with hardly ever seeing another vehicle. I kept thinking "trust this vehicle" because my life literally depended on it. I had no problems. And everything was on high - the defroster, rear defrost, heated steering wheel, heated seat, radio and keeping my phone charger plugged in. And in case you wonder why I would venture out in these conditions - I was called for jury duty and made it on time !! It has also gotten me out of deep snow.

I am happy with everything about my explorer. Get good gas mileage and is very comfortable ride. Traded my 2020 for this 2022. Love the color and have gotten lots of compliments.

2016 Platinum. Nice SUV, comfortable, very powerful, decent fuel economy, fair build quality, but there are some things to be aware of; the AWD models have a PTU (power transfer unit) which sends power to the rear wheels. It is positioned very close to the exhaust, and the heat generated by the turbochargers literally cooks the gear oil in the PTU, causing it to fail. The unit only holds about a quart of oil, and is NOT serviced or checked, even when you have the vehicle serviced at the dealer. We had trouble with the front camera, and the recirculation actuator on the climate control. If you are considering a used Explorer, I highly recommend buying the best warranty you can! The only complaint I have is the road noise. On new pavement, it's quiet, but on all other roads it's VERY loud inside!

We have only had our vehicle for a short time but it meets and exceeds our expectation. We purchased the limited model due to the reduced noise inside of the vehicle

The ford explorer is an outstanding suv. The new design in 2020 is stylish and the rear wheel drive/4 wheel drive option is state of the art. The ecoboost engines are economical and extremely powerful. Ford dealers are everywhere! Ford parts are common and easy to obtain! I looked at the competitors. Front wheel drive is not suitable for trucks in my opinion. The handling of a rear wheel drive vehicle is outstanding. I actually have a 2022 platinum with the 3.0 v6 and this 2021 base with the 2.3 4 cylinder. Happy with each!!!

This is my fourth Explorer. I decided in 2018 to order the top-of-the-line Platinum. This vehicle has all the bells and whistles for a person that wants the luxury of one of Fords top models. It has Platinum leather seats that are very comfortable. If you can find today, buy it. It has the 3.5L V6 that has great power on acceleration. You can only buy a V6 now on the 2025 Explorer ST which is a 3.0L. The cost is around $60,000 Loaded.

Best Ford, other than a pickup, I've ever owned. Minor issues and recalls. All fixed or checked expertly here in Woodbridge VA. Only 80,000 miles. All highway. Tows a trailer perfectly straight. 4X4 with tow package. Getting ready to sell. Nobody else in the house to use it ! Lol

Never pressured me into anything and him and my husband had a great time just talking cars. Henry test drove my trade in and actually used the turbo it was alot of fun! Chandler handled the finance with finesse and gave me the best deal and APR of just 2.5% (or close idr I know it was next to nothing lol) they also gave me a great deal on my trade. P.s hope his wife is still doing well their expecting a baby boy soon! And literally anyone's name that starts with a J there is awesome. I wrote down their names but lost the paper lol They even got my car ready and all accessories put on the day (shout out to the awesome guys that made it happen, usually i have to wait months anywhere else and the other place couldnt even get me a rental car for work!)they arrived so I could leave to drive to Texas (got a call my grandpa had died and need to drive there immediately). These guys make you feel like family, don't take advantage, and really take great care of you. If you where wondering I love my new 2022 CX30 and she handled great on that 13 1/2 hour drive to Texas and back. My husband and I are now customers for life.

I upgraded from a 2017 Explorer Sport to a 2025 Explorer ST. It handles better. It sounds better. It is faster. The interior is way better. The seats hug you. The infotainment system is fast and works really well.
