Bought new in 2007 and still runs and looks like new. As reliable as they get..only needed routine maintenance for 16 years. It's a simple car without much that can go wrong. Handles great, reasonably peppy and good fuel mileage. Still love it after all these years..not interested in a new car!

My 2010 consistently gets 46mpg on the highway, 2.0 with automatic. Bought new, only run Mobile1 full synthetic 5w30. Great little car, should last 300k easy!

This is the second 2009 Ford focus SE that I’ve owned. The first one had 147,000 miles on it with nothing needed but regular items. Tires, battery, regular oil changes at 5000 mile intervals and never used any oil between changes. If I kept my foot out of it, I got 38 to 41 miles mpg, if I pushed it I still got 35 at 80 mph. This one has 79,000 miles on it and I have not done anything but tires. It’s nearly as clean as off the showroom floor, as I keep my cars clean. I am very happy with this car. Depreciation is so low now, insurance is low, no payments with interest, make this an exceptionally cheap car to own. Reability has been second to none for me. Highly recommended but very hard to find a nice one with a regular maintenance performed and no rust. You can’t go wrong with the value of this car, great commuter car or for a new teenage driver. It’s rated safe. It’s also very comfortable to drive for a whole day.

I have two of these little cars a 2008 Ford Focus SeS and a 2009 Ford Focus SE and I have never had any issues with either car besides the basic maintenance, they both have high mileage on the odometer and still they get amazing fuel mileage, granted it's not a luxury car and it's not a race car but not a Toyota Corolla slow either, my only Gripe is the way Ford designed the rear drum brakes with the wheel bearing pressed in the hub, there are ways around that especially if you're mechanically knowledgeable by doing a disc break conversion it's easy and allows a lot better stopping distance, both of my cars still look and run like new and they are extremely cheap to maintain. If they weren't good cars I wouldn't own two of them lol I still get compliments on both cars , tires are cheap, maintenance is cheap , they are comfortable and reliable to drive and they handle like a sports car and I know without a doubt that whenever I turn the key it'll start and get me where I need to go, I live in upstate NY where there is snow a lot and they both handle great with all season tires . Overall I definitely recommend a Ford Focus between the years 2008 - 2011 , I would stay very far away from the 2012 - 2016 model years because of the TCM and transmission issues. If you want reliability and comfort and a cheap car that will last as long as a Toyota buy this car .

This generation of Focus is a very good buy. They are a long lasting car, I have done oil changes 15k-20k miles. My car is currently sitting at 298k miles on its original engine and transmission. It has had routine repairs like wheel bearings, a fuel pump, an engine mount and quite a few tires. If you’re looking for a cheap reliable car, you don’t need a Honda, you need this Ford Focus.

Bought mine new in 2010 and I’m still reliably driving it in 2024 with almost 240k miles, with most being on the highway. I’ve kept up with the general maintenance as well as being a bit proactive with other things. The overall cost has been negligible, in my opinion, compared to the cost of monthly payments for any newer car. If they still made this car, I’d buy it again. Sadly, it’s too reliable for current business practices of needing customers to upgrade every 5-6 years.

My wife and I have 2 cars so a few months ago I decided to buy a work car so i don't put alot of kms on my Audi as I drive 150 kms a day. I came across this beautiful 2009 focus sel model with 273 000 kms I bought it for $ 550 dollars and after 3 months latter I am still very happy. It handles extremely well in the snow very fuel efficient the car has proven it self to me over and over again.

I appreciated the process this time, I did my homework and was pre-approved thru a credit union. I'm still in that learning phase with my car but I'm happy with it.

I purchased this car used in 2015 or so. Drove it for a few years and sold it when I got a truck...fast forward to 2022 and gas prices are sky high so when I had the opportunity to buy it back for what I sold it for, I jumped on it. It's got dings and dents and wear, but it gets me from point a to point b and gets me between 28 and 45mpg depending on how I drive it! I used to get over 40mpg driving from Indiana down south with it. It has needed very little mantainence other than tires and oil changes. I've replaced the alternator once and it's due for an idler pulley and tie rod end links, but these are to be expected at 173,000 miles. They aren't power houses, but enough power to zip through daily traffic without danger. I'm not especially easy on it either...they have no issue shifting at 6500rpm (keeps the carbon blown out.) As a side note: these were the first run of the 2.0 ztech with a timing chain vs the earlier timing belts... If you can find a rust free one that's been maintained, you can drive the wheels off of it and it will save you money on gas!

I've owned 2 Focuses, and I was imposed with both of them. The 2009 wad bought used to replace the older one when we handed it down to our son. I bought this car while I was delivering pizza for a second job, while also traveling 300 miles round trip per week to help take care of my elderly mother in another city. In 5 years I never had any trouble with it. The only reason I got rid of it was because I needed a good trade in to replace our old van that was slowly dying, and I was tired of having 3 cars with only 2 drivers in the house. The Sync system is probably my favorite feature of this car, and the thing that I miss the most. I was typically getting 30-34 mpg, even delivering pizza. Great little car.

I bought this car new in 2007, and it was the first year of this design. At the time it fit my needs as a commuting teacher, wife and mom to a teenager and a toddler. Now it still meets the needs. The cabin is quiet and the ride is smooth for its size. It handles well and has required minimal maintenance beyond the basics. I was offered $500 for a trade in, and chose to drive it a little longer at 147,000 miles and counting. It has transported sports gear, and carried camping gear to remote campgrounds. It took a road trip from Connecticut to DC and back but is mostly for local errands and brief highway trips for appointments. No complaints, but it’s no luxury vehicle or SUV, just a compact sedan for basic needs. We now have a 100 pound dog who fits fine in the backseat.

I bought this car four years ago in a pinch when we sold our van. I needed a economical, reliable vehicle and it has served it's purpose. It gets great gas mileage (30-32 in town) is peppy when you need it and thus far has been reliable. I've heard from people in the car business that this particular style of Focus were very good cars.

The 2008 Ford Focus SE, Vapor Grey with highest trim level, chrome package. It was my very 1st brand new car that i purchased back in July 2007 and have driven it every day since. Myself and my husband drive it (hes a 6'2" guy, so as far as comfort, its a little snug for him, but fine for me at 5'7") Updated for a 2008 dated vehicle, and is very spacious for a compact car. (Easily fits 2 XL suitcases and carry-ons for our airport trips, or large fishing cooler in the trunk for weekend getaways.) Its been up and down the entire east coast for our road trips, family holiday visits and a lot of local NJ town miles as well. Its 2020 now, and that thing has been AMAZING on average MPG (currently at 35, mixed highway/town miles) as well as longevity!!! Runs solid, basic maintenance like oil changes, tires, light bulbs, fuses and such. As of today, she just hit 235,000 MILES!!! Could NOT have asked for a better vehicle!!!

Went in initially to browse. At first I was a little overwhelmed because they have so much inventory. I found a couple of SUV's I liked. I test drove them both and decided on one - a Mazda CX-5. Bought the car with 70k around 2016 now has 122k. Needed motor mounts, AC, valve cover gaskets. Runs good but a few expensive repairs, going to keep it until it fails. Engine is fine.

Since I am from central New Jersey and was facing a 3 hour 25 minute drive to Maryland(according to Mapquest), each way, I called hoping to get some information about the car that was not listed on the website. Wayne was extremely helpful and courteous on the phone, answering all my questions. Most cars look great on the internet and then you get there and it's not what you expected or hoped for. Wayne and John were totally upfront and honest about the car. They were very understanding of how far away I was and were kind enough to pre-negotiate the price on the phone (most dealers would not do this) and provide me with an "out the door" price so that all I had to do was make the drive there and hope it was everything they said it was. Well, I made the trip and it was as beautiful in person as it looked online and was EXACTLY as they had described it. Because we worked out a price that was fair to everyone and the car was what I was "sold" on the phone, I bought the car on the spot and am thrilled with my purchase and the quality of the car.
