Redding Car and Truck Center review
They work hard to get you the lowest interest rate

The staff work hard, for you to get you the lowest interest rate and better finance company. Redding car and truck center faster than the dealer ships I’ve dealt with.

Fuel tank not secure. Major security risk. Ford sl

Owns this car
This truck has no fuel cap. The fuel door does not lock. It is extremely difficult to get a lock for it. This is a major security issue for anyone driving this vehicle. These days rigorous security in all aspects of life is required.
So I noticed the fuel door was open and the only explanation for this is that someone opened it and poured a substance into my tank to tamper with my vehicle or someone tried to steal gas, or myself or someone accidently opened it by leaning on it (push springback open).
This is extremely anoyying becuase now I don't know whether there is xxx in my gastank and if I want to know without a doubt the tank is clean it will costs me probably $1000 to get the tank cleaned out. And this totally ruins the positive experience I had about this vehicle.
Didn't anyone at Ford realize how stupid it is to make a tank that can't be locked. On many vehicles you can simply buy a locking gas cap from autozone but Ford requires a locking plug only made by Ford. And only sold in one place on the internet and with extremely slow shipping. Around 10 days from Levinson Ford.
I plan to complain and see if they will cover the costs to clean the fuel tank. It is 100% their fault since they design such a idiotic fuel door configuration. They should also flush the fuel system and install a new fuel filter and pump. Every other engine component is protected from tampering except for the fuel tank. Get a clue Ford and start hiring better engineers and tell your corner cutting accountant advisors to take a hike. Put a phukin automatic locking fuel door on all your vehicles. It's common sense.
That Ford would be so blind as to allow such a security risk is a major red flag.
