2026 GMC Sierra 1500 review
A little expensive, but comfortable, quiet, smooth ride. Great performance out of the 6.2L and better than expected fuel economy in the low 20s. Outstanding interior and good looking exterior, especially in the Downpour Metallic color. I don’t have 700 miles on it yet and have owned it for 3 weeks. Therefore, I can’t pass judgement yet on the reliability, but so far I am very satisfied. This replaced an 8 year old Ford F150 that served me quite well with only a couple of issues in the 100,000 plus miles.

2026 GMC Sierra 1500 review
This is my first GMC and I absolutely love my Sierra 1500 Elevation. The 5.3L v8 is more than enough to pull my camper, I love the stylish interior and it is comfortable to drive. I also felt with the financing and discount specials this was a great deal.

The Service Department at Group 1 South is EXEMPLARY!!! I was blown away by the quality service, excellent professionalism and outstanding leadership of the three staff members, who worked with me! I appreciate the Royalty Treatment I received from the moment I drove onto the grounds. I thank God for allowing me to meet Donovan, Claudia and Elvin! They went above and beyond their job description to make my experience at GROUP 1 SOUTH a positive one! ~The work performed on my vehicle was done to my satisfaction as well. Although, there was one minor concern I had during my visit. The service team put forth 110 percent to explain and resolve the matter. ~ Group 1 South @ Gulf Freeway has restored my trust, confidence and faith in using Service Departments at Dealerships again. I can’t wait to share the positive experience I received with others. I won’t go anywhere else! ~ An uncertain experience, I was dreading at first, actually turned out to be a HUGE WIN for me overall. ~I’ll be recommending all my family, friends, neighbors etc. to GROUP 1 SOUTH for all their car buying and car service needs! ~ Thanks again Donovan, Elvin and Claudia you’re truly AMAZING IN EVERY WAY!
2026 GMC Sierra 1500 review
I bought the AT 4 version. Loaded. Has good ground clearance. It's powered with a 3.0 l turbocharged diesel. Has lots of horsepower and torque. I've had no problem but I talked to my friend who's a certified mechanic and they're having a lot of problems with the engine blowing up at very low mileage. A lot of the time less than 15,000. Some of them have problems with the thrust bearings failing causing increased crankshaft play back and forth to the point where the timing chain and the rubber belt that runs the oil pump can fail. The engine has been described as grenading. They're basically self-destructs. There's a specific power code that indicates low oil pressure and allowed rattle sound before it finally fails. I heard that the engines were on back order, so if you're one of the unfortunates you can plan on waiting 10 or 12 weeks or longer to get your truck back. They have to remove the cab completely to swap motors. But overall I love the truck. It's a big improvement over the 2022 I just traded in.
