Used Honda Civic for sale near Lansing, IL under $10,000

I purchased a used car a 2017 Toyota Corolla for my daughter for a very good price. They have great reasonable prices.

Bought my 2012 brand new and 12 years later it still runs great! I have put o er 304,000 miles on it and have had no problems. I have done regular maintenance on the car and it keeps on ticking. The paint is poor condition and weather stripping has deteriorated. The interior has held well! The only thing after 12 years and lots of miles is the CD player is making noises and wearing out. I am going to keep driving until it dies which at this point seems like it might be another 100-200k miles.

I am amazed everyday I drive this car is just really reliable and simple I have the most basic one but that is also something I appreciate. It's honda at its best pure engineering. Perfect little car. Just changed the oil every 5,000 miles, did the rear struts, and put on two new sets of tires in the five years I owned it. My son did jam the key in the frozen door lock, and we had to replace that. 166,000 miles and my mechanic says it's absolutely fine.

Today I went in for an oil change for my mom , and I talk to the manager about light grinding noises that I heard when my mom was turning only. Firestone told her she needed brakes and the manager Tony had my mom‘s car pulled up on the lift, and the brakes were fine, but when the mechanic was taking the wheel off, he noticed that there was some play and it turned out to be a wheel bearing. If you’ve ever seen anyone with a wheel that fell off their car on the highway. That probably would’ve been my mom because she Hand some teenager at fire stone Check it out telling her she need brakes. It didn’t make any sense because she just did her brakes like 12,000 miles ago. Always get a second opinion..

This car replaced my 1993 Civic when the corrosion of the midwest did in the suspension, which was not worth repairing on on a car with 279,000 miles. Now my current Civic was approaching this benchmark fast befor Covid. It had some big shows to fill and easily did so. No problems, and it has been beat to crap. This is city driving, so the engine hours are through the roof. Average maybe 20mph thoughtour it’s life. Did need it’s starter replaced once, although this was less expensive than the old timing belt tuneup on the 93. There was an issue with thinning paint on trunk and the car has been hit with enough rocks and when parked that she is far from pristine. I vouch for the safety as this is the insurance replacement of one that got totaled with 60 miles on it back in 09, a roll over. Run off road by semi whose brakes failed. I find the car quite comfortable for commuting purposes and the AC still works. It’s a DX-VP, so she’s awfully spartan by modern standards. Now that I work from home, the miles are coming slower. I assume a better conditioned one with low miles would hold its resale value pretty well. I’d like to justify getting a new car to scoot around town but it’s impossible to justify.

Bought 2008 with 94k miles on it and have owned it for 2 years (115k on it now). Great value car, great Dave Ramsey car(read the Total Money Makeover), great car value to avoid debt(buy one off a “grandma” (=low miles and not driven hard(it only went to church and the grocery store🤣😂)). I will drive it to 200k or more and my investment accounts will keep on growing!

Civic LX sedan.Small car that is extremely reliable and handles like a sports car. Stereo is average. Seats are a little stiff. Low to the ground makes it a little hard to get in and out. Rides great, handles even better. 118,000 miles without an issue. 36 mpg combined every day. Dont care for CVT transmission, feels slightly sluggish but will get the job done.

I have two civics one is 06 civic ex coupe great mpg reliability strong automatic transmission.the other one is 2011 civic sedan LX I love this car have driven it long road trips great on gas reliable fairly cheap to maintain as well

Great car for those who look for a vehicle which is low cost to buy, fuel, and maintain; all while being comfortable, spacious and fast enough for most people's needs. Owning one for several years, it's not indestructible, but problems can be caught well in advance if you know something feels off.

I contacted the dealership online on a SUNDAY (when they're closed) and Mia emailed me that same day. I went in that Monday, did a test drive with TIM (awesome guy) and left with my purchase. I did a trade-in, but forgot a few personals left in my old car. Contacted them once again, Mia said to come get the things I had left behind, so I went in and MAVERICK (another awesome guy) had took care of me as far as that. Real genuine people and I am very pleased with my Toyota Highlander.

This is car is a great commuter car. Will last forever with basic maintenance. Comfortable, economical and safe ! Perfect for 4 people as the back seat is roomy.

Overall, the experience was very good. We purchased the car from Mo, a polite, soft spoken man that gave us zero pressure during the entire sales process. His communication was excellent throughout the process. The car needs a bit of work, but it was listed at a great price. I bought a NEW 2006 LX civic coupe 1.8L in 2006 black with a tan interior and it was of course a manual transmission, I owned the car from 2006 until 2013. I drove it as a daily and went on some long road trips and did not have a problem with it at all, but I did do my maintenance every 6,000 miles. also the recall came out for the 06-08 1.8L engines in I believe 2009 and was good until 2019 DEC. Unfortunately, I had to sell in 2013 and I regretted it ever since, so I bought another one (Silver 2008 Civic coupe 179,000 miles manual transmission) in 2019. I still have it and I've driven from Los Banos, California to Phoenix, Arizona several times now and its very comfortable and has been reliable. I have also taken it to Copperas Cove, Texas. So I recommend this car as long as you have gone over it very meticulously from top to bottom. I recommend 2006-2011 Honda Civic Manual Transmission and also 2012-2013 Honda Civic Manual Transmission. Coupe or sedan. MANUAL TRANSMISSION. Have it looked over by a good mechanic and look for service records also.

It's a small but not tiny. It sort of roomier in the front but tighter in the rear seats. My model is the 2 doors coupe ex, with stick shift, it came well equipped with all the bells and whistles. Is good on gas and fun to drive. It's not incredible peppy but is fast and strong, and there's a lot of ways you can customize it with. Hondas have always been known for reliability, and this car won't disappoint you, it has 140k miles on it and stills runs like it was new. I got a really good deal from the dealer I bought it from, and they're pretty good overall. I would definitely buy from this place again!
