I visited Conklin Cars of Salina recently to sit with my son as he purchased his first new vehicle. I knew when my son sat in the car and Jason went through the details and functions of the car with him, that I would soon be purchasing a vehicle from him too. I just did not think it would be the same day. Jason was willing to stay late on a Saturday evening and accommodate my families schedule and gave up time with his. Jason didn't pressure us to purchase a car that he wanted to sell, yet it was important for him to put us in a vehicle that we wanted and fit our families needs. I contacted Rhonda Crist at Conklin Salina and told her exactly what 2015 model of Prius I wanted. They didn't have one there but she located one in Omaha. She sent a driver and two days later I had my car. I really appreciate all the trouble she went to for me and really love the car! I bought my previous Prius from her and would definitely buy my next one too. She is so helpful and knowledgeable about the features, etc. Larry Henoch took care of the paperwork in record time and I was out the door.
Michael Gadberry was assigned to meet us for our 1:00 appointment. Michael called prior to our arrival to confirm our appointment and was prompt in greeting us as we arrived. I was impressed by Michael's knowledge and Long McArthur through out our process. Michael was very professional and took his time to answer our questions and make sure we knew everything. Long McArthur has plenty of personnel to help in every area of service. I left having confidence that we could rely on great service in the future. This was our first experience with this dealership. Michael seemed to make an extra effort to always please us. I would definitely recommend Michael for your experience. We finished with Kyle who was also very friendly. 100% would recommend to anyone needing any type of car. They honestly care about your situation. We walked in at 7pm in need of a car and walked out with a Ford Escape at 10pm. It was a very helpful, and easy process from start to end. The sales associate had went out of her way on many occasions to inform, and also giving optional assistance that i have never seen from anyone else in the car sales field. Also she has a very friendly personality that could make anyone feel comfortable talking with her.
When I first walked into the dealership I felt that my husband and I was being ignored by the salesmen, but Jason made a big difference. He made us feel welcome and he also apologize for the late acknowledgement. He explained every vehicle that we looked at and test drove. We were INCREDIBLY impressed with the customer service at Bennett. First of all, we had a general idea that we wanted a larger SUV, but we weren't set on any one. They ran the numbers and broke things down for us on SEVERAL vehicles. I know that I repeatedly asked the same questions because there was just so much information, and never once did I feel like Carson was annoyed or short with me. He was very professional and answered every question to the best of his knowledge or found the person who had the answer. Secondly, we were trading in our previous vehicle and they worked out a fair price and walked me through the process. There was virtually nothing that I had to do in regards to the trade. We also had the interior treated, something that I though would take a day and I was pleasantly surprised when they called a few hours later and told me I could pick up the car already! I loved the ease and professionalism of the entire process. They were very patient and kind even with me lugging in two kids and spending half of a Saturday there. I would highly recommend Carson and the staff at Bennett!!
I found the vehicle that I was looking for through cars.com. It guided me to Conklin Cars which was closer to me than many other dealers that I had looked at. Once on the Conklin website we were able to see all the features and information we needed to make a decision to come in and look. Marisa answered our inquiry from the website and followed through with a very friendly, low pressure car buying experience. That meant a lot because when pressured and pushed through the "big dealership" type of sales system I usually am looking for excuses to leave. Conklin was a comfortable place to do business and we will certainly keep in touch. We negotiated to have several issues repaired on the van we wanted to buy. The issue were taken care of quickly soon after we bought the vehicle and as promised we had a courtesy car provided. I left with the feeling that Conklin will continue to provide great care for us as a customer now and down the road. Money Subaru in Salina, Kansas (honestly...it's the man's surname!) has the best in sales and service folk. I never expect from any provider "next day" service for a small problem. I am one those folks who maker sure a small or really small problem doesn't get bigger. Weather and humidity along with other stuff happens! But every time I need Mark Erlemeier in the Service Department, he is right there. He alone gets five stars. As for my Outback? She gets five stars as well. Purchased while I was still working, she was ready to take on Kansas winters. However, my husband's medical needs called upon me to retire early. Still, our car provides easy in/out access for doctor visits and an extremely comfortable drive. Finally, the doctor "tweaked" my husband's meds and we are back in traveling mode. For an AF man who flew C-130's in Vietnam and always wants to be in control, fortunately our Outback provides such a relaxed drive he is calm. He still tries to navigate! I LOVE MY SUBARU OUTBACK!
