I assumed the hype was a bit over the top, I had high expectations and it still exceeded those expectations by many magnitude. The LS430 is as good as a car gets, and feels much more luxurious then many new BMW’s or Mercedes all while being dependable. Not much more you can ask for

My dad owned this vehicle for a few months before getting an SUV, he later said that he regretted his decision because that was probably the best vehicle he's ever owned and driven. I got to drive it many times and I can tell you from experience, for being this old it has many many features and its reliability deserves a chef's kiss because Lexus definitely knew what they were doing when manufacturing this vehicle.

My dad bought his 2005 lexus ls430 with about 1000 miles on it. He drove it up to around 90,000 miles where he gave it to me. I currently have 200,000 miles on it and it runs like new. He has owned about 5 cars since than and still says this is the best car he ever owned. Besides the toyota land cruiser, this may be the most reliable car ever made.

I owned a 99 LS400 prior to my 430. After driving the 99 I was sold and had to have another LS. I literally have never driven anything that drives like the LS. The comfort smooth ride is unreal. I plan on getting at least 500k miles or more. LS from now on.

No doubt one of the finest cars I have ever owned. And I have owned many since the 80s from small to large Luxury. This car ranks tops in reliability. It rides very quiet and handles the road well. I do like the softer 70s through 90s car seats, however. But it’s better than about any other luxury car of that decade. I’m at 125,000 original miles presently and I’m buying another LS 430 —2006 model year. Mine is a 2005 and I will keep it. I do not like the new Lexus nor any other cars. And no new Lexus is rated as well as the 430 from 04-06. 05-06 the best. Lexus peaked during these years and then with the 460 they went downhill fast, but still better than most other luxury cars. Then they came up some in reliability but they have never managed the reliability and quality of the 430 and I believe the future will prove that I am right because it already is beginning to do so now…. the 430 was the best that Lexus has ever made. Better than Honda on reliability, too.

BROUGHT MY 2001 MODEL OF THE LS 430 in 2010 with 100k...drove for over 13 years. I do my own oil change for the last 10 years...use regular oil don't use synthetic...for it will leak more. Also, I have been using regular gas for the last 12 years...milage is still great (20 local, 25 on hwy)...never change timing belt yet....starter die on 2012 ($600, parts and labor)...right now I just reach 450,000 miles....hoping to make it to 1/2 million mark....will buy another one once my die.

I?ve been going to this car lot for years have bought several cars here even one for my granddaughter. And that saids a lot of I didn?t trust the car or car lot then I sure wouldn?t put my granddaughter in it!! My family means the world to be an never would ever put them in danger this was her first car for graduation I wouldn?t go to another car lot as of this time I?m looking for another vehicle an the type I want they don?t have but they are looking for me one an I know it will be check out throughly an safe these people are awesome they treat you the best an honest an stand behind their word

I have owned well over 30 cars in my lifetime at age 57. The 2001-2006 Lexus LS430 was and is the best car ever built in my opinion, I have owned now three LS430's, I have bought the newer models LS460 and even two LS500's and I kept wanting my LS430 ride duplicated and never could. I bought my 2005 LS 430 ultra lux new. I have 326,000 miles on it and it still purrs like a kitten. The servicing is fantastic but not cheap. I have to say that it’s the best car I’ve ever had! I think back then I paid approximately $75k.

Picked up this car with 115,000 miles on it 3 years ago. I'm now just under 200K with zero major issues besides regular wear & tear things (Brakes, struts, tires, ect) & a few little electronic sensors that I fixed myself in 15min. This is by far the most comfortable car I've ever driven or ridden in and it's not even close. The quarter panel is starting to rust a little unfortunately, but that's to be expected with a car this old driven in MN winters. A few of the electronic things like power mirrors and windows are also a little weak now, but this car is nearing 20 years old. I sure wish I knew you could only use premium gas before I bought it though.. although this isn't a huge problem, it adds up. RWD and the sheer length of this car also makes it a little hard to drive in the snow, but it works. Plenty of power from the V8 and everything still runs silky smooth. Keep in mind that this is still a Lexus.. parts can be expensive (1 headlight is over $100 for example). Some Lexus models are interchangeable with parts via their toyota counterparts, not really the case with this car.. With is being a toyota at it's heart, work on it yourself! If you're looking for reliable old school luxury, look no further!
