Timeless reliability and power when you need it as these trucks get older, you realize how well they are made. They only really need basic maintenance and every hundred thousand miles replace the plugs, the belts and all the juices and it will keep going as smooth as butter the only thing you wanna keep an eye on is the suspension however it is not a dealbreaker it can be dealt with with a proper technician. They will be going for another 50 years for sure.

Only thing with this generation is the radio amp. It is a common issue 2011-2015 model. To replace it is almost $3-4k. Make sure to ask the seller if the amp has been replaced, if it has not, eventually you'll need to. 100k mile problem. Other 100k problem: - Struts needs to be replaced - Differential fluid

Lexus LX570 is currently the best car for the buck. Under $100K it is the most comfortable, reliable, can-go-anywhere, 3 row vehicle (7 people vehicle). The only thing I would improve is add another gas tank as this boy like that gas. Highly recommend!

I wanted a large comfortable vehicle that seats 7-8. I researched the LX and other competitor vehicles for some time. The LX drives very nice for as large as it is. the competition feels a bit lumbering and large. the LX is like a linebacker wearing ballet slippers. The infiniti QX80 is probably the closest competition but it's length prevents it from fitting in my garage. The build quality of the LX is better in my opinion than the Infiniti, they are very similar otherwise. My biggest complaint has to do with the fuel economy and range. The fuel economy is expectedly poor at about 14 to 17 MPG, couple that with a relatively small fuel capacity and you have only 250 or so mile range. This makes the gas station a very common stop. However I am used to my previous car which had more than double that range - perhaps I'll get used to it. The comfort is welcoming, I can drive for several hours and I'm not dying to get out of the LX. it's not a cheap vehicle, but depreciation is your best friend with the LX. try to find the nicest one you can and enjoy for a long time.
