These cars are an amazing value. Quite simply many people hate the styling. Hence a low price. Nothing I write matters on this. You like it or don’t or put up with it for the value. The interior is simply stunning. Other than a Bentley I had no other car I’ve seen is nicer inside. Quality materials. Nice leather. Stunning real wood. And unlike anything else a way to cover the nav screen with a wood door. Stereo is excellent. Ride quality is fantastic for long trips. No. Not a super fast car in corners. Fast enough and very comfortable. Engine is silky smooth and whisper quiet. Except when you floor it you get that v8 growl. Again not a dragster but plenty powerful enough. The roof is magic. A hardtop coupe most of the time but a fantastic open top with minimal buffeting. Reliable. Very reliable. Excellent Lexus service if needed. Our 2004 has merely 60k miles and zero repairs. Many of these are low miles. Toyota reliability is a great comfort. Big and heavy and safe. Plenty of airbags and great brakes. Mass is safer than lighter cars. Do the negative? It is not easy on gas. Styling is either love or hate. Navigation system cannot be updated and CarPlay is not available although there are kits to add it including nav music and phone. So the electronic toys are dated. To give you an idea my new car is a Porsche 911. Modern. But on long trips or just getting from A to Z the Lexus is first choice. Porsche is more modern and exciting but … not as beautiful inside nor comfortable. I totally recommend this if the styling and gas mileage and electronics are not an issue. The value is unbelievable and unbeatable.

We were looking for a Lexus Sedan for my wife, and I wanted a more sporty vehicle. In the past I’ve had Vettes and several 380Z’s, as I aged it was not as easy to get into and out of. So we never had heard of the LexusSC until the salesman at the dealership said I think I have the perfect car for you. He said I think you’ll love the LexusSC we got in a week ago. A 2004 convertible with 32,000 miles. Silver with a black interior. That peaked our interest and we drove it. We fell in love. A silver Beauty with a retractable electric convertible top. Sold! We’ll have this one for a long time. We’re both in our 80’s so who knows how long we’ll be around to enjoy this little honey of an auto. We’ll do our best.

My service manager, Tony Hang, is the best and he is the reason I continue to go to Crown Lexus Of Ontario. I I am always able to make appointments however I always ask for him. If he is not there, I tend to wait until he is. He is very professional yet makes me feel very comfortable. If Tony is busy when I call, he always returns my calls in a timely manner. I have 2, and they are fantastic. They are look great w top up and fantastic w top down. The engine is just about bulletproof when maintained. You may get a bmw or mercedes convertible to 250k miles, but you will spend a fortune on repairs getting there! Not w a lexus.. I bought one of mine in 2017 for 19k and its worth 19k or more today.. Those topgear fools are out of their minds!

After 20 years of dreaming, I found my Egyptian Sand Pearl ‘03 beauty with 142910 original miles. Got most of its records and it had great care! I have changed all the fluids and timing belt water-pump Tensioner, thermostat, hoses & radiator to drive everyday in the summer and fall! Mileage on super has been 19.8 to 22 mpg mostly city driving ! It has been nothing short of a fantastic cruiser! Make sure you do the tb and wp every 9 yrs or 90000 miles and the engine will be bulletproof.

I have had a Lexus 430 SC for 8 years I love this car.I had a Mita before,.wanted a heavier car to drive on the interstate.this car is a dream very smooth ride. Easy top Down....had very little problems. It's unique and beautiful....I love the back seat..great for a dog or child or your coat and purse. . The mita had nothing...no it's not for everyone, but I like it....better than any new car....Getting ready for a new timing Belt , which they say will take care of most of the maintenance for long time. It is a 2004. They only made this car 2002 to 2010..

I love driving this car! It may be an older vehicle, but feels solid and reliable. You can enjoy a well insulated coupe, or drop the top for open air driving! Mine is "fun" car, so I do not drive it in winters or bad weather. I plan to keep this beast forever. The only real downsides are the cupholders and back seats are basically useless!! If you can find a nice example of an SC430.....get it while you can! This car is not a true "sports" car, but it was also not intended to be. I think that is why some people wrote this car off because it's big and heavy, so not the greatest cornering machine. If you want a comfortable and reliable convertible, then look no further. I am still blown away at how solid this car is after nearly 20 years. I like knowing that even when I'm older, I should still be able to drive this car comfortably since it rides reasonably smooth for a car this low to the ground. Try driving a corvette or something like that and I bet the suspension will cause some discomfort in your older years. If you do not plan on driving the SC430 year round, then I suggest getting a trickle charger (for winter) because the battery will die....I know from experience!

Never a "have to have it" kind of car guy until I saw, researched and drove this car. It's a solid, powerful, and super slick cabriolet that only catches the eye of the passionate. It has a beautiful saddle leather interior with gorgeous wood details and a really good stereo that rivals todays' car stereos. It has strong and silent 4.3 V8 that is top of the list reliable. I bought my 2002 in 2023 and fixed a few things with the audio system and is now a low-mile like-new car. I love driving it when I can and will til I can't drive anymore.

First time we’ve ordered a vehicle sight unseen (except for photos) from out of state. Everyone at Midtown Auto were excellent to deal with and made the process extremely Easy. We we first impressed by their ability to find low mileage vehicles and then sell at such a reasonable price. When we received the car, we were impressed that it looked better than the photos and was in pristine condition. It was also full of gas and recently serviced….nice touch. Shipping was easy and FAST. I had an eye on this car for years and was finally able to purchase it pre-owned from the Lexus dealership with 81k original miles. I have had it for 1 year now and I am happy. For its age, it is a very Comfortable ride, powerful V8 engine, Reliable, and still in great condition. I have replaced the ML factory sound system with new speakers, sub and amp. Overall Love this ride. Hoping to have it for many years to come.

Very smooth V8 engine/transmission, faster than most cars, the interior is perfect for me 6ft tall, sound system has some deep bass, I would marry my sc430 and I believe my sc430 would get the "Will" built to last, til deff du us

This car has been on several trips to Florida. I have never broken down in this car. Its lot of fun and I feel safe driving it because it handles better than any car I have ever owned. I hate to give it up,but I have to pay for another car I bought that I spent more than I intended. My loss is your gain.

I bought this car used six years ago and I LOVE it! It's Sporty....Fast...Very STYLISH as i get comments all the time. Lexus quit making the SC430 eleven years ago and I believe they made a mistake as everyone always comments about this car and it's Azure Blue Color. It is a Pebble Beach Edition of which only 400 were made of that color.

This car is like a tank...very safe but drives live a race car with quickness and agility...its a joy to drive. No issues ever with this car and it is sleek and sexy, great for a summer drive to the beach or a fall drive up to the mountains. Love it!!

This is my second SC430. Happily I returned to my senses and bought a newer version with very low miles. The 6 speed transmission is a great improvement. The engine has so much power it begs to run in the lowest rpm possible. This is a good thing. While not an automotive engineer I expect this drivetrain is good for 500,000 miles or more. At 60 mph the tach shows 1800 rpms, practically a fast idle. All the cool bells and whistles from a time ago but how is that bad? I switched the oem wheels for custom 20in chrome and low profile Toyo tires. Looks very cool and rides great. Hardly a trip anywhere doesn’t find somebody asking if I want to sell it. I see prices for low mileage good condition models escalating a bit and will probably continue. If you have one, don’t sell it. If you don’t have one, get one.

Did not love the styling at first but it's really growing on me.Looks way better in person than pictures. Very comfortable ride and quiet, top up or down. If you want to address the acceleration concern look to sc430mods.com they sell an accelerator modulator $99. It turns this car into a beast! and you can vary the rate of acceleration. This makes the car xxxx and git. love the mod, plug and play too. Also someone ask about backup camera, they also have a plug and play camera set up that lets you go right through the nav system, come on in reverse and goes back to nav all the rest of the time. Also added a bluetooth receiver $20 on amazon. my 2002 has a aux in the back so it plugs right in, press fm if aux comes up on screen it has a direct connect, sounds awesome. only early models had this I think. This is one great car!

I looked for a sc430 for about a year finally found a 2002 that was owned by a retired dentist this thing is cherry it still needs struts and a radiator along with timing belt. Already fixed oil leaks and tires along with control arms.153 thousand miles and it turns heads fun to drive love this car much more than my 350 Z

This car is one of the nicest cars I’ve ever owned and it has so much style it gets a lot of looks and at the same time the performance is very amazing. The technology is also a plus with the hard top convertible it is hard to imagine that this technology is as good as it is.
