1998 Mercedes-Benz C-Class review
I can't say enough great things about this car. I had it a little over three years and nothing went wrong. I felt so stylish and classy driving it. I would take it everywhere. It had an awesome sun/moonroof, heated seats, a sun screen in the back that went up or down with the push of a button. Perfect amount of legroom and space between passengers. And I felt safe because it handled so well.

2000 Mercedes-Benz C-Class review
excellent style. esp like the rear parking lens covers. the raised hood emblem should have never been taken off in later models. good accel/pick up for lane changes and hurry up modes. will not replace the 1972 4.5 I once owned but it will definitely do for running errands in town. Will test short trips (maybe and iffy) later. good car.

This care while costs more on maintenance runs for a long long time with over 232k miles and still rolling down the road. Besides the motor and transmission, which are solid, other parts, are needing repairs. Brake system, power steering system needed costly repairs, but 232k miles, so what can you expect. Bought a newer C250 2013

1999 Mercedes-Benz C-Class review
Bought this car about 2.5 years ago, and have put 54,000km on it since (has about 252,000km now). It's been driven on gravel roads, in snow and ice, and on the racetrack for driver training, and is my daily commuter. It's a great car overall. The climate control has recently lost its brains, and the CD changer hasn't worked since before I bought it, but otherwise everything still works well. I would have no qualms about hopping in for a long road trip tomorrow. While it is true, parts are not cheap, they last a LONG time...you won't need many. Also basic repairs are very easy, for example, replacing the blower motor might take you half an hour. Things are generally pretty accessible and the skid plate and seals help keep the engine area relatively clean. The only dislikes I have about this car are the non-folding rear seat (I think that was an option though), the front seats being German-man-sized (too big for me), and the fact it just doesn't have the fun-factor of a BMW 3-series.

2000 Mercedes-Benz C-Class review
I've driven and owned a number of vehicles. It's(c230 Kompressor) not the fastest, prettiest, best riding, most powerful, or most exciting, but overall it's a very good car. Handles nicely, has good pep with the supercharger boost, yet is also comfortable, smooth, and civilized when driven so. Surprising amount of creature comforts that many new cars don't even have. Plenty of room to seat 4 comfortably. Trunk space is decent and the seats fold down . Despite common belief, maintenance isn't as crazy as some make out. Especially if you do your own car work, it's no more expensive to maintain than other vehicles. In 2 years of ownership it's never left me stranded. The biggest con that I've experienced thus far was winter driving. All other vehicles handled adequately with all season tires, this had me buy my first ever set of snow tires. That being said, once those were fit, it drives excellently in the snow.

1999 Mercedes-Benz C-Class review
First one was '98 c280, 1 owner with 20k on it - second was a '95 c280 with 160k (was mainly bought for the mononblock wheels and as a light commuter) - third and current merc is a 1 owner '99 c280 sport with 53k, all black. these cars drive like no other car. I have a b5 and e36 as well and they don't compare. all great cars, but the 99 c280 sport is the perfect mix between luxury and sport. 20 years later and the car pulls like its brand new. my '98 did give me issues more than id like between 125k-150k...at 150k it popped a gas line, turned off, and I crashed while driving 60mph. complete loss, but I felt safe and came out with seatbelt bruises and a sore neck only. I still stand behind this car fully as it is a great little sports car and entirely safe. I love looking back at it after I park. the rust is an issue, its absolutely terrible in snow, but besides that its been my favorite car and I hope to snag a c36 in the near future. 11/10 would recommend to anyone that likes a drivers car.

1999 Mercedes-Benz C-Class review
I bought this car with 204,000 miles on the side of the road for almost nothing. I now have 307,000 miles. I had to replace a lot to get it on the road, but it was worth it. Its reliable, comfortable and fast. The parts are fairly expensive, and you dont want to put cheap parts in it, it wont run correctly. The mono wiper always needs attention for it to work. The blower motors dont last. The alignment gets thrown off easy. It gets very rusty along the doors. I hit a deer going 35 and it did almost no damage to the car. I also hit a stone wall and did little damage. Besides all the small stuff, its built VERY WELL.
