Went just to browse the lot, was met by salesperson Cindy, had no intention on buying at that time. She showed me options from the information I gave her within my price range. She was very personable and attentive, she was assisted by Michael who also was very knowledgeable about the inventory. I ended up going with a Volkswagen Tiguan, found a Taos for my fiancé, and my brother ended up buying a Ranger. The entire staff made us feel like family; from Steven and another I forgot his name in service, to Lynette in finance, Brice, the wonderful lady that located my fiancée’s vehicle (forgot her name also), and of course Cindy and Michael. I will definitely be buying my next vehicle there as well, after about 5 years with my Tiguan, and recommending them to anyone that I can who needs a car! Hiland Toyota is an exceptionally honest dealership. I made a deal online with Internet Manager Lonnie Tapscott and flew 2,000 miles to pick up a used car. Lonnie even gave me a ride from my hotel - five star service. The car was visibly indistinguishable from new inside and out. No wear, no door dings, not a single paint swirl, nada. After a short test drive, I signed two documents and was on the road in five minutes - easiest dealership closing process I have ever seen. During my four day trip home, it was determined that the front tires, despite having adequate remaining tread, had split due to age and sun exposure. As they were unsafe for the highway I replaced them at my expense and let Lonnie know the Service Dept could possibly improve their tire inspection process. To my great surprise, Hiland offered to send me a check for the full cost of both tires. They knew the chance of me being a repeat customer from five states away was low but they wanted to do the Right Thing. This is a dealer you can trust to keep their word, which is rare. I will keep my eye on their inventory and heartily endorse them for anyone looking for a car locally or from outside Moline. Very impressive operation.

2024 Hyundai SANTA CRUZ review
Love my truck so much! It has plenty of leg room for my long legs! It drives smooth on long road trips! The back has been useful for moving large objects better than a SUV. It gives me both worlds truck and SUV feel. I highly recommend if you want a truck but the big ones are too much to handle!

2023 Toyota Prius Prime review
This car is overall great to own. I have an XSE trim, and though I would've liked to have XSE Premium's features, those are minor gripes at worst. Daily commutes are a breeze. I have a bit of a light foot while driving but it's easy to merge into traffic even in EV mode (161hp compared to 220hp in hybrid mode). Steering feels grounded and relative to how much effort should be put into turning. The braking is also good; it feels linear without any jolts or sponginess. The engine can get noisy if the battery's low (less than 25%) but it's seldom been an issue for me. Changing the drive mode to Sport makes regenerative braking slightly stronger and steering slightly heavier. I average about 4.8mi/kWh (161.7MPGe) and 56MPG. Road trips are also great in this vehicle. The EPA estimate for this vehicle's trim is 39 electric miles and 50MPG. I get about 40 miles with cruise control on, and MPG in the mid-high 50s or low 60s with good weather. Ride quality is smooth and there's no shaking when going over small bumps. The seats are comfortable up front even over long periods of time. It's a bit low getting in (especially in the back). Rear seats are a little snug; I'm 5'10½" and can fit well enough with a tiny bit of room to stretch my legs. I can fit my hand between my head and the ceiling, so anyone who's taller or has larger hair should stick to the front. Visibility is good overall. I had to adjust the steering wheel column down some to clearly see the dashboard information but it isn't uncomfortable to me. Outward visibility great out of the front and sides, but the rear window is pretty small. I would've opted for XSE Premium's digital rearview mirror if I frequently hauled larger things around. Cargo space and storage is pretty decent for the class. I can fit two midsize suitcases in the back with the tonneau cover on. The front and rear cupholders can hold 20oz travel mugs and the bottle holders in the doors can hold a 22fl oz can. The center console can hold a good amount of small objects and the tray in the middle can be removed for more space. All in all, I'd recommend the Prius to anyone looking for a small vehicle. The regular one is better on gas and has a bit more cargo space, but if you're able to regularly plug in, i'd say go for the PHEV variant.

2022 Toyota RAV4 review
Drove this '22 Rav4 throughout the US SW for over 3000 miles in 2 weeks without any problems and averaged 30+ mpg. Went through CO, UT, NV, CA, AZ, NM. Pleasant to drive and certainly comfortable enough. I have no complaints at the moment, and it doesn't have the CVT!

2024 Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 review
My 2 honest cents. Just bought the 2024 GLS 450 and it has a huge presence on road and it looks stunning! I went with the AMG exterior package and it looks way better than the base model. Ride quality is good, very smooth ride on freeways but you do feel small bumps on occasional city roads. The engine is good but I wish it had a bit more power, feels little laggy at low speeds but when you floor it it moves fast and steering is very responsive. On the other hand, cabin very silent tho and you barely get to hear road noise (without acoustic package). The Mileage is incredible on this, wasn't expecting to write about it but the GLS gives better mileage than my GLC. Interiors are amazing and is something no other manufacturer in this segment can match (especially at night with ambient lights), seats are super comfy and the infotainment screens are also crisp. Overall, love this SUV and i'm gonna keep it for a while.

2022 Honda Pilot review
We decided on the Trail Sport. We live in mountains of SW Montana on a dirt road, off a gravel forest service access rd. We also transport elderly women from our church, so needed a 3rd row for seating. It's been a reliable, comfortable ride. Easy for the ladies to get in & out of. My hubby & I are sure enjoying the comfort level of this pilot. One of the great features is being able to adjust the traction to mud & snow.

2024 Ford Maverick review
Only has had one glitch, the passenger window switch died after about a month, but that's what the warranty is for, and they fixed it. The hybrid is rated at 38 mpg I think, but I'm getting closer to 48, I log my mileage, so that's a reliable number. Front wheel drive so you don't have the light rear end traction issues. Feels and drives more like a car, but when you want to load stuff the bed is there. Unless you want a big heavy duty truck, which it isn't, there's nothing not to love about it.

If you are looking for a vehicle that gets good gas mileage and long range then the Toyota Hybrid is for you. On the open road you can get over 35 miles to the gallon and go slightly over 500 miles on a tank of gas.

2013 Cadillac CTS-V review
I have owned my 2013 CTS-V sedan since new and have 63k miles on it. It is a pure joy to drive ,fast ,handles great, looks fantastic,etc. Gas mileage is not great around town but over 20 mpg on highway. Very reilable, new brakes at 60k and then just normal routine maintenance. I live in New Jersey and Florida - V never gets driven in snow and am on my 4th set of tires but what the xxxx it does 0-60 sub 4 seconds has 4 doors !!! I can afford to buy a lot of hot new cars but this car is such a hoot to drive I will keep forever.
