Couldn't Be Happier

I am an avid review reader, yet it is the very rarest of occasions that I ever write them. In the case of my vehicle purchase from Sunshine Auto, I feel compelled to share my experience so that other review readers have the chance to decide for themselves.
My husband and I needed to add a second vehicle to our family. Unfortunately, due to a layoff a few years ago, our credit took a very painful hit. In our attempts to purchase a reliable car from the lots claiming to be designed for people in our situation, we found a great deal of frustration. We literally visited nearly all of the big name Buy-here Pay-here/We Finance places in the Green Bay area. Each place we visited was either downright rude and disrespectful after reviewing our credit and refusing to assist us, or they offered to finance if we could put 5k down on a 7k car. Needless to say, we were at our wits end and had given up hope on getting something from a dealer and had begun to check out beaters by owners online.
Then, a co-worker mentioned a place in Menasha, Sunshine Auto. I reluctantly checked out the website and saw they had reasonable prices so I convinced my husband to let me drag him there. When we arrived on the lot, a gentleman cleaning a vehicle immediately spoke to us and welcomed us to look around. He offered not to hover while we looked but was there if we had questions or saw something we wanted to test drive. A few minutes later, a different gentleman who turned out to be the owner, Tom, came over and introduced himself and asked if he could help. We told him we were looking to buy a car and wanted to test drive a few. He was so patient with us while we drove at least 10 vehicles. We finally decided on a reasonably priced SUV. It was time to discuss financing options so I went in to the office to speak to him while my husband and little girls played with the store pet dog outside. I asked how the financing worked to get the SUV. I was very upfront and honest about our credit in an effort to avoid wasting anyone's time. Tom told me I wouldn't be able to finance any of the cars we had looked at, but could likely get approved for an even better one that we didn't look at because we didn't think we could ever get approved for it. I was excited about that prospect but also not optimistic. I explained to him about our unpleasant experiences at the other places and how everyone had turned us down for financing. I sadly told him not to bother because I knew we would not be able to get it done. This is where Tom really showed his true colors. He, in all sincerity and sympathy, looked at me and said "Will it hurt if we just try? I really want to help you and your family." I spoke to my husband briefly, and we decided to attempt one last time to get financing. You know what? It worked.
We now have a beautiful, reliable, new-to-us car. Is it perfect? No, it isn't. It is a used car so I know better than to expect showroom quality. I could not be more pleased with our vehicle and the exceptional kindness and genuine concern Tom has given. He went above and beyond any expectations I might have had. 5 stars aren't enough!
