GREAT CAR!!!
I bought my Black 2008 Saturn Astra XR about a year and a half ago.... With 74,000 miles!.. I threw some 18 staggered wheels....With that being said... Since then I've gone down hill financially... And as a result... I haven't been able to keep up the maintenance... And even though I've driven it over 20,000 miles WITHOUT a tune up... NEVER A PROBLEM! Although it's not running it's best... Not the car's fault... LOVE the performance (Although it could use more power) I LOVE MY SATURN XR

2008 Saturn Astra XR review
Great commuter car!
Super great car but you must have some DIY maintenance skills! My XR 3 door all ready is clocking past 170K miles and still running strong full power. I did several upgrades from Europe: Opel Astra H GTC or Vauxhall Astra MK5 Sport Hatch to make it more suitable to the inclement weather and traffic wild conditions. The only downside is the turtle start but once past 60 MPH it becomes a nuclear turtle. I have the 5 speed manual!

Great Vehicle Sad that Saturn is gone.
Drives like nothing I've ever driven before and its Gas eco is to kill for, Not only is it great on road but it doesn't suffer when you're in Snow/mud either.

The Astra has always had a premium sports luxury feel in a compact affordable package. Handling is as good as it anything out of europe. The car has a quality feel throughout with many parts shared with BMW.
