2023 Ford Explorer review
Apple play used to connect but no longer does. Didn’t notice passenger door wasn’t installed properly until I took a road trip and the noise!!! Drivers side arm rest squeaks as though it’s about to come apart. Very noisy engine over 40 mph.

2023 Chevrolet Traverse review
Love this car! This is our 2nd Traverse. My wife loves it. I have 180,000 miles on it and still going strong. We will definitely be looking for our 3rd one. It has the most room of all SUV in its classs. The v-6 has very good power with lots of pickup.

2020 Ford Expedition review
2020 Ford Expedition was purchased Feb 2020 (Springfield Va). I started having transmission problems Jun 2020 (15,000 miles). I informed my service representative what was occurring during an oil change and she informed that she would have a transmission specialist look at it. I was given the all ok and l departed, but my transmission is still producing a rattling sound and it buck's when l go from park to drive, also when it changes gears it slips from time yo time. This is my Fourth new Expedition and l have never experienced anything like this. I have made 4 request that they check my transmission and it has always come back (No problem). Oct 2022 l received a call from the service department stating that my truck hadn't been in over a year. I indicated to them that l was last in for an oil change with them, April 2022. Not only did they not have records showing my oil changes, but they didn't record any of my complaints about my transmission. I took my truck to AAMCO and they indicated that it was an electrical component ( brains of the trans) that was faulty and that l needed to return to Ford to repair. I attempted to have this resolved before my warranty expired and now l have no warranty on it because l'm at 95K miles on my truck. I know that there is a recall on 2015-2019 Ford Expedition for faulty transmission gear box. I'm experiencing the exact same issue with my transmission. Vin #1MJK1JT8LEA27351 Model: XLT Max Grey

2025 Ford Explorer review
I purchased a 2025 Ford Explorer Platinum with the 3.0 liter 6 cyclinder. The car has lots of power and drives well. It has lots of acceleration and easily pulls a 5000 lb trailer. Things I like about the car: 1. Heated and cooled front massage seats. On a long drive the massage seats are fabulous! 2. Very good radio/sound system 3. Wireless Apple/Android connectivity 4. Lots of cargo space What I dislike: 1. Gas mileage between 19-22 mpg 2. Lane departure system annoying 3. Had a rattle noise in the front of the car at 9000 miles that the dealer could not find. At 11,000 miles, the rattle mysteriously went away. No idea what is going on here. 4. Sometimes when I open the rear hatch, the chime sounds loudly, The next time it does not sound at all. Wish I could just turn it off. ??

2019 Subaru Forester review
I had to make a 5 1/2 hour drive recently and loved how smoothly my car drove, especially using cruise control with “eyesight” so it slowed when I was too close to the car in front of me. I couldn’t even feel it; I watched the speedometer. Love the safety features and extras like seat warmers and large sunroof.

Wife's car ,working at home not many miles low 20k as of2024 June. Still I wonder about trans fluid because of time. Problem that bugs me is the radio. 2022 Subaru Ascent review
We just traded our 2019 Ascent Touring, 52K miles (purchased used with 18K miles, and about 18 months old). We had no issues with the SUV. The turbo is just powerful enough to not worry about the power when needed. Interior held up very well to all the passengers, cargo, and 2 basset hounds as well. We're already sad and looking to get another one (we had downsized to Outback, but miss the big brute for many reasons, one of which is its interior space). I see some negative reviews here with brakes and other recall items, but somehow, we didn't experience either of those. Like I said, we're looking for another one, in hindsight we should've kept it. The only gripe I have is the poor tire choice by the Subaru, the original tires didn't last beyond 25k miles, replaced them with Continental tires and those should last the next owner for a while (originals were rated at 35k miles). Will update this post once we find a new one.

2022 Subaru Ascent review
Purchase our Ascent June of 2022 ,love the vehicle it now has little over 44,000 miles on it put new tires on at 29,000 not because of wear but for long trips,brakes are still in great shape at last inspection,we are retired but travel with our dog companion,this car has traveled to New Mexico across to Florida and to Florida every winter and also to Maine and the comfort is just fantastic and our overall gas mileage is twenty five MPG and yes when and if we need to trade it will be another Subaru!

2025 Kia Telluride review
SX Prestige advertised as higher end SUV, but missing the luxury touches. HUD display needs to be larger for those of us with old eyes. Needs more illumination inside, can't see cup holders at night without using overhead lights. Need to add dash storage like Toyota GH for cell phones, etc. Could easily be designed under screen. Need to have 3rd and 2nd row seats electrified for ease of lowering. Should add massage seats and leg extender for driver. Great hidey hole space in rear for groceries or items you want to hide in parking lots.

2025 Kia Telluride review
This SUV competes in what I call the mid size near luxury segment. LIKES: 1.The ride is supple (easily absorbs harsh bumps) ,quiet (noise absorbing glass and abundant insulation cuts road and wind noise) average handling for a SUV. It gives a luxury level ride. (Exception: the X Pro line comes with off road tires which effects ride and noise) 2.Abundant, what I call nanny electronics for those who prefer messing with their phone rather than paying attention to driving their vehicle. 3. Seating in the Prestige trim is done tastefully in Nappa leather with good support. The driver and passenger seats come with 8 way adjustment plus lumbar adjustment. The driver seat only comes with adjustable electric thigh support. Both seats come with heating and ventilation. The second row is captain chairs that do not have electronic adjustment (why?) They do come with heating and ventilation. The third row seats are large enough for full size adults to be comfortable a rare thing in a mid size SUV, but I would not want to spend 10 hours sitting in them. 4.) Infotainment system works well, has a large screen harmon kardon sound system is excellent. You are given various access to many forms of media including apple carplay but only by cable connection (why?) 5.)Climate control can be managed by the info screen or by mechanical switches which I prefer instead of navigating through multiple layers of menus. The rear passengers have their own separate climate controls. 6.) Cargo space is large especially with the 3rd and 2nd row chairs folded down and with the roof racks, things like plywood can be hauled easily. 7.) The 5 year 60,000 mile basic and 10 year 100,000 mile powertrain warranty is the best in the industry. 8.) Fit and finish is excellent DISLIKES: 1.) There is only one engine available. If you're looking for neck snapping acceleration you will be disappointed. But it musters up 291 hp and does provide acceptable acceleration allowing you to access highway speeds without a struggle. So far overall MPG has only been 17.5 far below the published 20 -23 mpg. There could be several factors causing this: 1. the engine only has 315 miles on it, so it is not broken in. 2. the weight of the vehicle. 3.) The gearing of the tranny and the AWD setup. 4. the engine gets its hp without the use of a turbocharger (adding a turbocharger would have certainly raised the hp and mpg) In this segment V8's are not available with one exception the dodge durango. 2.) Extremely limited color selection 3.) Reliability: Because I have only 315 miles on the vehicle I'm not qualified to speak with any knowledge on the subject of reliability. OVERALL IMPRESSION In my search for a vehicle the Telluride came the closest to providing and meeting all my expectations. Yes there are vehicles out there that surpass the Telluride, but be prepared to spend an extra 20k or more. 2024 Ford Edge review
I owned a 2017 Fusion Platinum and did not want to get a SUV. Knowing the Edge was based on the same platform, I gave the 2024 a spin. I was impressed. It drove, handled, braked, and steered very well. I drove many cars, and even though Ford had not redesigned in a while, it was more enjoyable to drive than the Audi Q5 and Lexus RX. I rated the value a 3 because it is expensive. The Titanium Elite price is in the Lexus/Audi ballpark. I really wanted the Audi because I have owned some in the past, but the Edge was more sporty and more comfortable. I drove the ST and I was surprised that it did not feel a lot faster. This wqas the same with the Fusion. You can tell the ST was faster, but it did not jump off the line like I was expecting. I was disappointed the edge lost some equipment from the past as it is being phased out. So I added it. I added the hood insulation, the engine cover, the cargo cover, LED lighted sill plates, and the laminated acoustic glass on the front doors, all purchased from FORD dealers to make sure they were the real deal. I also added the keyless entry keypad (securicode). I was really disappointed they deleted securicode. The interior is not flashy like an Audi, but I like that it is understated. The carmello seat and door inserts make the car very audi-ish and special. It is too bad this is the last year. The Lincoln Nautilus lives on as the next generation in the USA. I can tell it has roots from the Fusion. That is also gone.

2022 Ford Explorer review
I purchased the 2022 Timberline preowned about 1 month ago with appx 50k miles on it. I was disappointed that it does not have memory seats or a garage door remote button. (I didn't even notice this when test driving it). Who makes a car today with all the tech this car has and leaves off these 2 things! The interior is comfortable & well laid out. The ride is smooth & quiet. 2.3L turbo 4 cylinder is quiet & has amazing power. At idle it’s hard to tell that the engine is even running. The prior owner put on Michelin tires which contribute to the smooth, quiet ride. The seats are ActiveX (Ford’s name for vinyl) with cloth inserts. I’m 5’ 10” and 175lbs. My son who rode with me is 6’ 3” and 250lbs. Both of us found the seats comfortable & supportive on our 1st road trip. I’ve driven a Kia Telluride, which is a direct competitor. The Kia has a little more tech but I found the ride to be on the harsh side, especially in the second row. This may be attributable to the low profile 21” tires. The Timberline has 18” balloon tires which I much prefer. 2 weeks after purchasing it I made a 2,200-mile road trip from Dallas TX to Orgon. Fuel mileage ranged from 21 to 28 with an overall average of 24 mpg. *if I don’t drive over 70 mph on the highway the fuel economy goes up to about 32! *these numbers are from the actual miles & gallons of fuel used, not from the dash numbers, which I found are a little optimistic. It has a few bugs that I’ll have to deal with, but it’s a used Ford & not a Lexus. Overall, I'd say I'm very happy with this car & would recommend it.

2022 Ford Edge review
I purchased the titanium awd edge which came with 20 inch wheels and the ride was a bit rough. I had a 2016 with 18 inch wheels and it was very smooth. I found a set of 18 inch original ford wheels, purchased new tires and now it rides like a dream. It´s quiet, handles well, the interior is a bit dated, but has all the tech and safety I need. I compared the X3 and Q5, but the Edge had a lower price and was loaded. Not a single problem since I bought it, just regular service and one recall that was fixed while I waited at the dealer. I highly recommend it.

2024 Ford Edge review
7 Ford Edges and the 2024 is rock solid yet quiet and great performance. Everyone wants to use the Edge when we go anywhere. The controls are easy to use for non distracted driving. Long road trips are un eventful and tires last forever. Loading space in the rear is flat easy and lots of space. Good visibility and safe.

2024 Ford Edge review
Extremely pleased with the comfort and ride on my new 2024 Ford Edge Titanium. Have previously owned two Explorers and two Edges. Thought my 2022 Explorer rode very quiet, had lots of power and very comfortable. , but this Edge is significantly better all around than the Explorer. I wish it had intelligent 4 wheel drive with the rear drive primary. I will deal with the AWD version. It handles extremely well with a solid quiet ride and tight turning radius. It has a very large 7x10 touch screen mounted vertically in the middle of the dash. You can control almost every possible setting on this. Totally loaded and worth the extra cost. It is so comfortable we can drive 13-14 hours straight though on our trips to Florida . Drive it, you won’t be disappointed.

2020 Jaguar F-PACE review
The F-Pace is an excellent sporty SUV. 2.5L engine has been completely trouble free. The suspension on this generation is a bit firmer than the newer generation. The performance and fuel economy is great. The infotainment system allows for apple car play (corded). The F Pace is bigger than other compact SUVs in its class. I wish Jag wasn’t so committed to going all electric because they have taken the Land Rover Velar and made the F-Pace more sporty and luxurious.
