I did a Long term test on the Suzuki XL7 it did good not bad for a SUV it .3.6 v6 did good we put 151 532 miles on it andthe Suzuki XL7 did really good in the winter and it did good the summer andi say it did better then the Chevrolet Equinox that did Long term test drive

I bought a 2008 Suzuki Grand Vitara Luxury in December of that year. Since, I've driven it almost every day with no problems at all. Its a shame that Suzuki pulled out of the US market because they really did offer a quality low-cost alternative to the other Japanese car makers. If I was in the market for a used car for a college student or child, I would definitely consider a Suzuki Grand Vitara. Great car for the money and good car overall.

I brought this fantastic car 2nd hand, and have owned it for 3 years and absolutely love it! It is very comfortable, easy to drive, plenty of room with 2 small children with baby seats in the back, I can just fit another person in the 3rd seat in the rear. So reliable. I wanted this car as I have had many un-reliable cars previously, and this one just keeps going. I look after my car, which I think helps keep it going strong, and it has absolutely no signs of slowing down. I have noticed I have gone through a few sets of headlight bulbs, but it is just such as easy fix as my local Repco store fits them for me for FREE!!! As a last resort I was able to tow our small camper trailer, and it was a breeze on the highway. I love how it is higher than sedans, helps my back with putting children in and out of the car everyday. I also courier around my nana on her shopping day, and it isn't too much effort for her as it is a little higher. I also love that I can drive on the beach, that just tops the car off, as our family is a 4wd family, this was a superb choice for our 2nd car. I would definately reccommend this wonderful make of vehicle. After my aunty seen how versitile this vehicle is, she has just brought the new model and is loving it. I have 220K on the clock, and will have this car for a long time to come! I love Suzuki!

Yeah, it’s a bit of a meme it being so old, having a grueling time to 60 mph, and having gold rims. It’s about the character though, the amount of “car” you get out of it is unbeatable, it’s such a slow car but flooring it and hearing the tiny v6 roar like a v8 never gets old. This truly is a luxury car it’s many features and quirks make it such a love able car, your happy to see it, it’s happy to see you.

My Suzuki Sidekick was my first car, I remember it well considering I am just now on my second car. I traded from my baby Suzuki to a 2004 Pontiac Sunfire. Although I love the air conditioning my Pontiac gives me I still miss the good times I had in my Suzuki. It was very reliable and good on gas. Twenty bucks every two weeks and she was good. Although my Suzuki was near broken down we nursed it back to a pretty good state. My gasket broke and what not I can't blame the car because we received it in that condition. Minus those problems my Suzuki was a great car, it just needed about five to ten minutes to warm up on cold mornings. Unfortunately our good times came to an end when the inside door hinges began to rust. One morning before school I walked outside to start her up and I was mortified when I saw my door laying in the yard unattached from the cars body. I cried for days and mourned my first car after a year of ownership. I miss my car and I definitely would get another when I get through college

The sidekick might not be the biggest of the SUV/4x4 vehicles around but it is a bang for its but.The only bit of a downside I have found is the acceleration, but once you get going its a nice ride. The sidekick being a narrow tall vehicle neeeds to be watched taking any corners hard, bu same as most SUV's, to hard of a corner it could possibly tip. The 4x4 is great on the sidekick and will get you through just abot anything you put in front of it. If you are looking for a cheaper SUV and somthing with a 4 banger, i would definately reccommend this little guy, fun ride for sure. It has a nice roomy sideways opening hatch, can store alot.

This Suzuku is great for a single person, couple or very small family. The car runs extremely well with regular maintenance and gets great gas mileage. It's easy to maneuver and affordable to take care of. The interior is great for an individual or a couple. Otherwise, adding multiple adults in the back or a carseat makes the car a tight squeeze for anyone.

I got this vehicle with 20,000 miles on it, now I got 300,000 miles still going strong. Always change that oil every 5,000 miles. And replace air filter

I purchased my 2011 Grand Vitara 2.5 years ago. with the exception of it smelling like weed when I bought it from a college student and had to do a thorough cleansing of the interior, it has been a great car. The mileage is around 30 mpg with the 2.4 litre 4 banger but it has surprising power. I wish the tranny had another gear between first and second though. I have pulled a 5'x12' utility trailer with it and am impressed. There is room in the back with the rear seats folded forward to transport cargo. It runs smooth and comfortably.

It's a good car but definitely the catalitic converter is a huge problem...if the engine light is on you need to find an other engine computer to replace it which is very difficult to find and after that the car consumes a lot of fuel which is crazy...finally it is a car level Medium...

I sent the check and they shipped it to me in Geneva, NY 1400 miles away! I was not only satisfied with discussions with Frank, but the car arrived and I am thoroughly satisfied. It needed a right front bumper molding and Frank agreed to send one to me. This dealership requires consideration if you want to buy a well serviced car of any make or model. This dealership has a remarkably great reputation an I agree that it is one of the few So Florida used car stores who are honest, service the car BEFORE selling it and takes careful steps to insure good relationships with customers. I may even buy another one from them, and spread the news of his store to my friends up here in the North who may want a "rust free" Southern car! Great store, nice people, as a retired dealer I'm showing my respect for Frank & team! Imagine buying a 35 yr old car from someone 14oo miles away "sight unseen" and be happy! I DID! YOU SHOULD!

I bought my 2001 Vitara in late 2000 with 7 miles on it. I ended up putting over 175k miles on it with no problems whatsoever. I kept the oil changed every 3000 miles but that's about all the upkeep I did to it. Delievered pizza in it for over 5 years and it still runs strong. I was really hard on it and it never failed to start. VERY reliable car. I only sold it because I promised myself after I graduated college I'd buy myself something new. Pros: Very reliable. Great turning radius. Can take a beating and keep going. Cons: Not much pick up in the 4 cylindar engine. Not the prettiest car in the world.

I traded in a 2006 Kia Sorento for my 2010 Grand Vitara and I'm sure glad I did. The handling far exceeds the Sorento and is much more reliable it even has a bigger engine while getting about the same gas mileage. I have also owned 4 runners in the past and am generally a truck gal.

296,749 miles and still going. Only thing I have had an issue with is low beam head light.. But that’s just been in the last year . Have replaced it twice . But I will not complain ! It’s a great vehicle and I love it .
