2022 Toyota Highlander review
We have the 2022 Limited edition. Love the heated and cooled leather seats, very comfortable. Overall vehicle is very quiet, except on concrete roadway surfaces. The rain sensing wipers don't function as well as the ones we had on our 2019 Rav4. I will say, the 3rd row seats are for young kids or very small flexible adults. Also, front doors need more of an arm rest higher up on the doors. The tri zone heat and cooling is great. I like how the adaptive cruise will even slow you down some when entering curves. The 11 speaker JBL sound system is very good. Overall, the negatives listed are fairly minor issues, because we really enjoy this vehicle and the features. I am disappointed that Toyota will not be offering the v-6 in 2023. I much prefer the smoothness and power and torque curve of the 6 versus the turbo 4. The 8 speed transmission is butter smooth, although the kickdown response could be improved. This is our 4th Toyota and will keep coming back because of the higher quality standards and overall reliability. Also, Toyota seems to listen to customers better and making adjustments or corrections better than a lot of the other auto makers.

2023 Toyota Highlander review
I waited months, purposely, before writing this review. When I initially bought the car, I was scared because the reviews made it seem as if I made the worst mistake of my life. 6 months, 7000 miles later, the car running great. In the beginning, there was the weird shifting and lag but as time went on, around 5000 miles it had mostly smoothed out. After I took it for the TSB/Recall for a software update, it has been running perfectly since, no lag or strange shifting at all. I haven’t had any trouble otherwise. It’s roomy and comfortable for long trips. The third row is really for short trips(no more than 1hr 1/2) and for people 5’8 and under. The MPG excels on the highway especially on ECO mode with cruise control. I’ve gotten it as high as 33/34 mpg at 70mph on relatively flat land. In the city, it does terrible. I average around 17-19 even with slowly accelerations. My DTE is 290-310miles, 95% City driving. I’m sure those who use it on the highway will reach much higher. Despite the new 4 Cylinder Turbo, it has quite a bit of power and was able to take off very fast with a car loaded with adults (even in the third row). As of right now, the engine has been nothing but reliable. If anything changes, I’ll surely come back and edit this review. But for now, this 23 Highlander Limited Non-Hybrid, is a fantastic mid-size SUV and I recommend it now with the software update taking care of the shifting problem.

All work required to make my vehicle repairs and checks complete and correct we’re performed to my total satisfaction while I waited in the comfortable customer waiting area as work was supervised under the outstanding guidance of Service Advisor Oscar Galatia. As a regular customer at the service department I always ask for the consistently courteous and flawless management of my vehicle requests by Oscar Galatia. Under Oscar’s guidance from his earliest work with Autobarn Mazda of Evanston to date, I never have had to return to him with a complaint that the work had been done poorly, with mistakes made, or required work not having been done at all. Yes, good work by mechanics have made that possible, but only under the tight, intelligent, direction and inspection of Galatia. He also has a pleasing and satisfying way of dealing with all of his customers whom I have observed close up when I have regularly waited with other customers to have their vehicles worked on and returned. Because of Oscar and the work results he has managed and produced, I have frequently recommended Autobarn and it’s excellent service work and Service Advisor management to others who need a place recommended for consistently good prices, management, and charges. 2023 Toyota Highlander review
We own a 2.4 Turbo XSE, has plenty of power to get you in and out of traffic. Just took a 10 hour road trip from NC through the mountains of VA & WV, performed like a champ up steep inclines and ride was very comfortable. We really like the captain chairs, easy to get passengers (inlaws) in and out. Had plenty of room for a wheelchair with 3rd row folded down. Really like the sporty look of Highlander. The 20" black rims compliment the look for me. I wish Toyota would've designed with dual exhaust to better enhance the design.

Castle Subaru review

2020 Toyota Highlander review
Overall a good reliable 3-row SUV, with a comfortable ride, decent trip mileage, and good acceleration (good power train. Negatives are a poorly designed A/C condensor (Rocks kicked up will punture it releasing all the coolant) and very high wind noise at freeway speeds (hard to talk, radio has to be turned up very high).

2021 Toyota Highlander review
My mother recently rented this car for a family vacation to West Virginia and it was amazing! Excellent mileage for an SUV its size. Great performance. Tons of safety features (which is a VERY GOOD thing). Beautiful acceleration. The only problem we had was with the fact that the car will adjust the speed depending on the cars around it (or something like that), but it only happened when cruise control was on. It was overall a very nice car and we are actually planning on purchasing one soon.

2019 Toyota Highlander review
I used to own the Infiniti QX60 and loved it in every way. Had to get rid of it because of the famous transmission cvt problems so I got a Toyota. Aside from the interior which is not super sophisticated as the Infiniti, Toyota is a very reliable car. I know engine will always start and the car will always perform. Very comfortable and mileage is great for a V6! Toyota is the best! Everybody else is just an mature.

The 11 speaker JBL sound system is very good. Overall, the negatives listed are fairly minor issues, because we really enjoy this vehicle and the features. I am disappointed that Toyota will not be offering the v-6 in 2023. I much prefer the smoothness and power and torque curve of the 6 versus the turbo 4. The 8 speed transmission is butter smooth, although the kickdown response could be improved. This is our 4th Toyota and will keep coming back because of the higher quality standards and overall reliability. Also, Toyota seems to listen to customers better and making adjustments or corrections better than a lot of the other auto makers.

2017 Toyota Highlander review
I've always loved the look and feel of a Toyota Highlander. But I never thought I could afford one. I found my Highlander at Alton Toyota, Alton, Il. and fell in love. I asked about the price and I couldn't believe it was right in my price range. I test drove it and it was love at first drive. Everyone from the Sales-person, finance and even the Technicians. were friendly, helpful and answered all my questions. They even went above and beyond making sure I got the best loan that fit me. I love my highlander and just got back from Myrtle Beach SC, driving round trip. It is so fun to drive and all the room is unbelievable. 2020 Toyota Highlander review
Great 3-row hybrid. Very reliable. Very comfortable. Lots of cargo space, especially with the third row seat down. Put down the second row and cargo space is enormous. Good gas mileage for a 6-cylinder. Nice pick-up for an SUV. Would definitely buy another Highlander

I initially checked to see if the SUV I found on cars.com was still available to look at. After sending the email, via cars.com, I got a text back within a few minutes saying the SUV was available and a salesperson would check with me to set up an appointment. I spoke with Jamie shortly thereafter and met with her at the dealership. The SUV was washed and ready for me to see and test drive. The rest of the purchase experience was fantastic!! For me, number one of the top three car buying experiences ever. I’m now retired and have bought a lot of cars. No high pressure, just great customer service. 2022 Toyota Highlander review
I bought my 2022 Highlander SE in November 2021 when selections were limited. It was not my first pick after researching and not my preferred color. I financed outside of Toyota and received a much better interest rate and my credit union said I was paying more than a reasonable price. But I was desperate and needed to new vehicle. I will see if the resale value keeps up with current value. So far it has performed well with a slight exception for the all wheel disk brakes. Sometimes I hear noises from the rear when backing out of my driveway when applying brake pressure. Also braking while driving seems a little soft and squirrelly. Just doesn’t feel quite right. The technology options are too numerous to mention and still learning but love the blind spot notification features. Fuel mileage is good compared to my V8 but performance is lacking even with sport drive feature selected. And in reference to one of the other reviews, the console storage is deep but too narrow. Overall I am enjoying my Highlander very much. I haven’t made a road trip in it yet so we will see. I can say it is a great family vehicle for short trips around town where a lot of start stops occur.

2012 Toyota Highlander review
Bought the '12 used with 30k miles on it 9 years ago. It now has 187k and is running great. Regular oil changes and typical maintenance, brakes, tires, etc. The AC did go last year and was fixed. Car is plenty cargo spacious and has been used to move many items, furniture, building materials etc. The only thing I'd like better from it is brighter headlights. If a HIghlander has been maintained I'd not hesitate to pick up a higher mileage used one and expect many more miles.

We purchased a 2002 Toyota Avalon from College Cars Chicago on 6/10/2020 after our other 2002 Toyota Avalon was totaled. Exact year, make, and model both cars were well maintained and taken care of. We were planning on driving the car we had for many more years until the accident. I got on the internet the very next day and more or less stumbled on finding one we purchased from Zack that was in excellent condition. Unfortunately, things can go wrong with any car even if they are well maintained. We experienced the airbag light would not go out and it was determined that the SRS computer had to be replaced. This was not like replacing a lightbulb. Zack stood behind College Cars 30 day 1000 mile warranty and worked with myself and the dealer making the repair as painless as possible. Very professional and customer-oriented. Would definitely return if and when we needed or wanted another vehicle. Also will highly recommend to anyone. We live in Indiana but it was well worth the approximate two-hour drive. Thanks again Zack!
2018 Toyota Highlander review
Large doors and front seats. Easy to get in and out. You have to pull past the protective bollard at the gas pump as to not ding the edge of the door. A lot of safety bells and whistles for an older car. Can tow with the best and high enough to take fishing and hunting. Good power. Feels safe in winter driving with in reason. If it gets icy or the snow gets over 5” I stay home. Operational noise is not annoying even when pulling into traffic or down shifting going up a steep hill. It gets almost 21 miles per gallon. I have no intention of spending thousands more on a vehicle to get better gas mileage. It’s paid off. I’m retired and put about 8000 miles a year on it. It still runs like new. I would love to keep it as long as I can. It also can haul pretty much everything I need.

This is my second Highlander. The first was a 2008 model and still in the family running great. This model has also served me well. I have 75,000 miles on it. I bought new tires at 60,000 and just had the battery replaced 3 weeks ago. The car runs great!

2022 Toyota Highlander review
I bought a brand new Toyota Highlander platinum hybrid, 2022. I’ve owned Mercedes and a whole bunch of other cars but the noise from this literally hurts my ears. Really sucks because I wanted to keep this car forever but now I wanna get rid of it because the low bassy vibration is absolutely terrible. I have seen some people talking about a foot to radiator seal, hoping that might help. I want to fix this but its some serious xxxxxxxx. I like bass but this suckd toyota… 😢
