This is really a great car and has served us so well. We were going to drive it until it died (a long way off) but got a deal on a family member's car that I could not pass up. After few years of usage, the car hard start. It gives electrical issue that affect the car performance. The car usually failed to start when hot due to such impact. The car wiper sometimes work on it own. Lastly, the car consume more fuel as it aged due to usage.

We bought our 2008 Matrix in 2018 for $3000 with 180k miles. Still reliable at 325k miles. Mostly routine maintenance performed. However, we did change a few door handles and engine mounts. Occasionally hits 40 mpg hwy when traveling on flat highway at 65mph. We love the storage space of a RAV4 and Corolla fuel efficiency. We plan to keep our daily driver until 500k miles.

Have had my 2005 Matrix for a couple of years and let me tell you she's a rider. My Lady bug 🐞 gets me where I need to go. Easy parking and less time at the pump. Would totally keep til the wheels fall off in at 200k+ miles.

I have the Matrix S model equipped with Michelin Pilot Sport Tires. Handles like a sports car on the curves. Very quick and reliable. Purchased at the end of 2011 and still going strong.

I owned 2006 Matrix and loved that car and so I purchased new 2013 model and hand down the older one to my daughter. Both cars were manual transmission, the ride is little bumpy but I don't care, great economy, great room for stuff like my push mower and very reliable, I don't have to worry about what is going to break next. Unfortunately Toyota stopped making them my 2013 model is the last year.

I miss mine. Bought it about 8 years ago for my son right after college. He drove it everyday until he moved to NY about 3 years ago, then I started driving it about everyday. Only trouble was a battery dying. About 3 weeks ago he moved back and now got it. SAD!!!!!. That car has the quickest pickup and can hang with the best of them for a 4 Cylinder. Toyota should have never stop making this one. Have to give it a five out of 5. I search the used car adds looking for another one.

This car is very reliable with no problem for years. It is basically a corola with extra trunk space. I owned the sports version and it is very responsive.

Great car drive and also great to haul just about anything Small to mid sized since the back seats fold all the way down. And it gets good Gas MPG as well.

Original owners since 2004. Amazing vehicle all around, mainly for the sole reliability it provides. Pushing 470,000km without a single problem ever, this car will never let you down. Maintenance is cheap as dirt because the engine is so well made and nothing ever breaks, timing chain replaced for the first time at 450,000km which is insane. Not to mention it handles well and is quite responsive and smooth for An old car like this and the seats are pretty comfortable easy for long drives. Great on gas super cheap. Overall would definitely recommend, great car.

I really like my Matrix-S. Using no-ethanol gasoline is recommended for optimum performance. It is able to fit 8-foot long items inside with the passenger seat folded down. I am fairly tall, so the little bit of extra bit of headroom I get with the sunroof is nice. With regular, recommended maintenance, I haven’t had any issues or breakdowns. [knock on wood] If you have a chance and if it’s the right fit, definitely pick one up.

After driving my dying 2002 Subaru into Candor's lot back in December 2023, I bought a beautiful Hyundai Elantra SE from Bruce. That car was perfect. 35 days later i got rearended and it was totaled. The insurance adjuster's value was, to put it kindly, not in my favor. A little disheartened and disappointed, i headed back to see Bruce at Candor. Overall, I'm very pleased with my vehicle. Bought it Certified Used with only 300 miles on the odo; saw it on this website. It would have been nicer if it had the optional 400 watt JBL and a sunroof, but I'm very happy it has AWD. Vehicle came with optional, All Weather Guard Package - Outside Mirrors w/Electric Remote & Heater; Rear Seat Heater Ducts. I gave the vehicle 'good,' not excellent, under Reliability because of what I thought was a premature brake wear issue; four new rotors @ 28K miles :( Gave the vehicle 'good,' not excellent under Comfort, drivers seat leg room isn't that great for a person who is 6'4"; but I've managed. An excellent under Interior Design, next to the 12v plug is a 110v household plug outlet. An excellent under Performance, the 2.4L is no slouch when it comes to merging on the interstate. Leg room in the second row is good and folds flat horizontally (if I were to take a carpenter's level, the little bubble would be in the center). Something I 'really' like about the 2009/2010 models, is that the front passenger seat folds flat. I was able to transport six (6) - two by eight foot (2 X 8ft) long, rigid foam sheets from a big box hardware store. Other than the forementioned brake issues, no problems; just turned 65K miles.

All i can say is that Carey's auto treated us with respect and sold us a very nice car 🚗 we will get another car from them again.. thank you..🤩😀

This car is easy to handle and is very reliable. Although compact, I fit my grandchildren very comfortably.
