This car is in very good condition even though it's 13 years old. We just got it in our possession yesterday since it still needed detailed but it is a great little car so far.

Drove a 240 DL for 15 years and sold it, but it was still running with over 150,000 miles (which is not all that high of mileage for that car). Drove a Buick and it had transmission problems at less than 30,000 miles. Came back to Volvo and I expect this 4-1/2 year old car to take me well into the 2020s. This is a fun, sleek, modern ride and I LOVE IT!!!

built like a mini military tank with style and performance I have an 18 year old car (2005 model S40 with manual trans) and its just amazing Those years this was imported from Sweden as a competition to the BMS 328 series....but they couldn't beat the bimmer and in due course of time they stopped importing. I would call it an European Toyota

We have had one for about 7 years. Very good little car. Always starts up nice and fast and compact. Only problem was leaking water through the sunroof.

It drives smooth and quiet. Everything mechanical works great. The only problems I've had are with electrical. The wiring harnesses are kind of fickle, but other than electrical it was a great buy.

had this car for 6 months and its been great , a lot better than a vw golf,which was the car i had before this one,fuel consumption around town is in the low 20 s but on a run its about 45 to 50 to the gallon

The model Volvo is the best type of car I ever drove. They run super good. My kids love the sunroof. They’re so easy and comfortable to drive in. The exterior looks good.

We found a truck on cars.com that was listed by The Car Dad. We called and talked with Henry, the Car Son. Henry was very helpful, told us all about the truck and the repairs that had been completed. We live 2.5 hours away, but decided to drive over there to see the truck (based on the reviews I read, I felt we were going to get a good truck from them). Henry greeted us and I could tell this was not a sleazy used car dealership. We drove the truck, talked more about it, then went into the office. Brian greeted us and was very friendly and knowledgeable. We bought the truck, and the process was very smooth. My son and I did not feel pressured. In fact, we felt they wanted to make sure my son got exactly what he wanted, and we did with this truck. We are very happy we decided to visit this dealership. The car feels plain inside and sourcing parts for the car can be difficult. The fwd was good in winter but the awd option is the way to go.

Its great I had a hyundai sonata for 5 years and it was nice but a lot of the features didn't work like the mirror defroster and the ac compressor was bad. This car is everything I need! Great gas mileage winter mode for driving in snow and a 6 cd player that plays cdrs. It doesn't have Bluetooth or an aux jack but the sound is great and I plan on getting one installed in the future. The interior cloth on the roof started to peel away but cosmetic issues are not important to me. And I keep getting a check engine light for the system being too rich but I was told its because of the ethanol in modern gasoline and a software update will fix it. That's the only issue ive had with the engine its really solid! No issues with any major problems and thats what matters to me. Love the car hope to keep it for 300,000 miles it has 71,000 now

I had a 2007 Volvo S40T a few years back and was amazed by it, simple to work on, reliable as all xxxx, quick and a gas saver, so I recently decided to get another S40, this time I got a 2005 S40 I, yes that same diehard 5 cylinder motor, but without the turbo, and let me tell you, it's crazy fast, saves gas and is fun to drive, Love my Volvo.

Car has been very reliable and dependable. It does have the typical Volvo sunroof drain issue that needs to be addressed annually or else you will have a pool of water in your footwell. Went thru drivers side bearings more than usual but truly that's about it. Fantastic reliability and safety.

Car drives great, more than adequate power. Pretty good on gas. Nice torque hills are not an issue. Only selling because I own 2 others.

I wanna give 4.5 stars for exterior styling, growing on me, its cool at 45 y/o. Test drove this car this morn. Knew nothing about it. test drove Nissans, VW's and a BMW all arvo. I bought it at close of business. I knew when I drove it it's a Grand car for a mid life crisis with dignity. Classy. And doesn't the Queen insist on Volvo? Love it. Bought it!!! Power with Class.

I am old and have bought many used cars over the years. Some were sleazy, some were ok and some were good. This dealership was excellent. I love my S40. I bought it with a manual transmission and all wheel drive and I don?t regret it at all. The engine is responsive and quick, the car has loads of torque across the entire rev range, and the turbo is quick. The chassis is firm. There?s almost no body roll or chassis movements over bumps and potholes. The all wheel drive system along with Volvo safety tech allows me to drive normal roadway speeds in snowy or wet conditions. The interior is minimalistic and well laid out with extremely comfortable seats. I absolutely love this car.

Dependable and safe...great car, solidly built, smooth ride, nice power in the T5 engine. Has USB hook up, comfortable seating, lumbar for back on drivers seat. Back seats fold down for storage.

Vehicle was well prepared for my visit. Salesperson had limited knowledge of an FJ Cruiser but worked with me on exploring it. Tryout drive was good, not much negotiation.

Fun and value for the money, would recommend and buy this model again. Missing a Bluetooth feature but overall can’t find much else to want except no pins in the floor for mats.

The Volvo S40 just seems to have everything it needs. It is comfortable, easy to drive, zippy, looks great and has all the right bells and whistles. What more could I need? A long run!! Say a couple hundred thousand miles? Dependability!

I like the size and style of this smaller Volvo. I wished this this style was still being made. The servicing of this car has been excellent.
