My dad bought the Sierra brand new in 2004 and I recently got it as a hand me down 2nd truck, and all I can say is it's perfect for what I need. Most reliable truck ever and I can get up to 16 in town and 22 on the highway. The 5.3 liter Vortec LM7 is probably the best engine ever made. The transmission is very responsive and the truck is surprisingly quick. And the 4 wheel drive works. My S10 never did that. Would definitely recommend. My only complaint is the ride is quite stiff with the twin leaf spring tow suspension, but it's supposed to be because it's toe suspension.

WORST PICKUP I EVER OWNED!

WORST PICKUP I EVER OWNED! VERY COMMON TO LS IS INTAKE GASKET/HEAD GASKETS NEED REPLACED AROUND 150,000 MILES OR LOOK OUT AND THEY RUN HOT WHICH IS AN ENGINE KILLER. PAINT IS THE WORST. CHEAP FRAMES RUST COMPLETELY INTO, UNLIKE FORDS FULL BOXED FRAME. JUST GO DRIVE THE 2004 F150 AND YOU'LL SEE A BIG DIFFERENCE IN RIDE AND HANDLING AS THERE IS NO COMPARISON, I OWNED BOTH. ANOTHER GM RIPOFF. NO WONDER THEY HAD TO BE BAILED OUT SELLING JUNK LIKE THIS!
