In 2007, I traded my ‘99 Expedition in on my current 2097
In 2007, I traded my ‘99 Expedition in on my current 2097 F-150 crew cab, 4X4 Lariat, big block V8. What a great truck she has been. Great driver in dark brown over lite brown, that looks great, my neighbor keeps trying to buy it from me. The power is great, very comfortable ride on leather seats, CD and satellite radio, I added a cap over the box in matching factory colors. 110,000 on the odometer, with zero problems. I keep up with factory recommended maintenance and I’ve never had any problems. I’ve looked at the newer model F-150s but have never liked the idea of leaving my 2007. Bottom line, this has been a great value for me. - Purchased a New car

Ford used a two-piece open-channel frame with poor rust
Ford used a two-piece open-channel frame with poor rust protection on the 2004 to 2008 F-150 models. The design traps moisture, salt, and road debris inside the boxed sections of the frame, and the factory undercoating was too thin and often cracked over time, allowing even more moisture in. Rust usually starts inside the frame where you cannot see it, and by the time it becomes visible from the outside, the damage is already extensive. The metal around the rear spring shackles, crossmembers, and cab mounts often deteriorates first, and once it begins, it spreads quickly. The problem is not cosmetic; it is structural. When the frame rusts through, it compromises the entire truck’s safety and rigidity. Even if the engine and transmission are still strong, the truck cannot be driven safely, and repairs are rarely realistic because welding a rusted frame only delays the inevitable. What makes it worse is that the design creates a loop of confusion even for experienced mechanics, since the symptoms often show up as unrelated issues such as poor alignment, strange noises, or drivetrain vibration. Many owners spend thousands replacing parts like transmissions, suspension components, or steering links before realizing the real problem is hidden structural failure inside the frame. By the time anyone figures it out, the truck is often too far gone to save. - Purchased a Used car

Edsell
The model wide problem with the 5.4 Triton engine cam phasers should be addressed by Ford as a recall and be implemented immediately. This is a serious design flaw . Maybe we should rename these engines EDSELL - Purchased a Used car

The Best In Texas
I have owned a 1999 and a 2006 Ford Lariat with the 4.6L the only problems I had was after 250,000 miles I had to replace the radiator and on the 99 the coil packs gave me problems but I replaced them with after market ones from 1-A Auto parts and not REM coils. In spite of the issues it takes a liking and keeps on ticking. - Purchased a Used car

I love this truck. Never buying newer one!
This truck is comfortable inside and while driving. I love the sliding back window. I have the Lariat 5.4 I love the leather seats, and that they are heated seats! I've got the DVD player too, too haven't used it much. I CAN be my own drive in movie theater wherever I want to be! 20" wheels look great.on it. Tonneau cover added make it even better. I get tons of compliments on it. It's gorgeous, pearl white. Navigation and Sirius radio, Bluetooth connect for phone. Awesome! - Purchased a New car

Fun, fancy "old' truck. Great for work or a kid.
I liked working on this car, it's simple and not like the insane complex new cars. Beautiful interior, great for little upgrades. Overall good truck, and fun. - Purchased a Used car

There's a reason Ford sells so many F150s
We bought a used 2007 F150 to replace a 1993 F150 with nearly 300,000 miles. This is a great truck with about 120,000 miles on the odometer. I expect it to last for years in the farm truck role. - Purchased a Used car
