<v Man>Cars.com auto review. Hi, this is Joe Bruzek from cars.com. We're here with the all new Chevrolet Sonic. Now the Sonic is a replacement for the previous Avail and like that Avail, is available in sudan and hatchback form. This is the sedan.
Now I think the sedan looks a whole lot better than the hatchback, but both will have these unique headlights that give it a really aggressive look up front as well as a really good stance. It just looks hunkered down thanks to a small wheel gap. Now the reason I like the sedan better is because this continuous line, it goes all the way to the back of the car and wraps around to the trunk. The hatchback just kind of stops abruptly and really doesn't look as much as an improvement over the old Avail as the sedan does. Everything on the inside is new as well. Up front, there are no differences between the sedan and hatchback. One of the notable features is this little instrument cluster which Chevrolet says they designed after a motorcycle. It looks pretty cool, it's a mix of digital and analog but it doesn't move with the steering wheel and the top of the steering wheel can block the view. The Sonic is sized below the Cruze, it is a smaller vehicle. We don't know pricing yet, but it's apparent that this is a much smaller vehicle. There isn't as much room as the Cruze. And even in the backseats, you can tell that it's a pint sized car. In this driving position here, there's really not a lot of room for me in the back. People are gonna be looking at the new subcompact Sonic differently than the Avail, which is a good thing. I know I am. We'll have more for you once we get behind the wheel. <v Man>For more car related news, go to cars.com or our blog, kickingtires.net.
