What’s New?
The GV60 electric SUV gets significant updates for the 2026 model year, and they revolve around a larger 84-kilowatt-hour battery pack that replaces the 77.4-kWh pack in the 2025 GV60. That results in a max range increase from 294 miles to 306 miles for the 2026 model, according to Genesis. (The 2026 model has not been EPA-certified yet, however.)
In addition to the larger pack, the GV60 now comes with a native North American Charging Standard port that enables users to charge at a Tesla Supercharger without an adapter. Additionally, owners can now use the MyGenesis app to plug and play without needing to fish out a credit card at a public charger. The updated app also enables dynamic route planning with charger routing so you can find stations along the way, which can also be done through the infotainment system.
The 2026 GV60 also includes a new, less pronounced lower grille and body-color bumpers and wheel arches, and Genesis has added a new Tromso Green exterior color and retired Matterhorn White Matte. New 20- and 21-inch wheel designs and revised LED headlights complete the exterior changes.
The interior flashes some changes, as well, with a standard three-spoke steering wheel and a standard wireless phone charger that’s now horizontally below the center armrest. There are more voice recognition controls, too, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto finally arrive as standard. A new 27-inch single-pane, organic light-emitting diode interface incorporates both the digital instrument cluster and center touchscreen, and Genesis added more safety features as standard on the top trims. Enhanced over-the-air updates can improve the car’s performance through the electronic control unit. Additionally, the facial recognition technology used to identify driver profiles is no longer offered.

Powertrain Specs and Range
The base GV60 rear-wheel-drive variant has a single electric motor driving the rear wheels and generating 225 horsepower and 258 pounds-feet of torque; Genesis estimates 306 miles of range. Adding a second motor mounted on the front axle, the base all-wheel-drive and Advanced trims make a total of 314 hp and 446 pounds-feet of torque; Genesis estimates 282 miles of range for the base AWD and 267 miles for the Advanced. The 2026 GV60 Performance has a dual-motor system that generates a combined 429 hp and 516 pounds-feet of torque, though Boost mode allows for bursts of 483 hp for up to 10 seconds; the Performance’s range is estimated at 252 miles.
All GV60s now have an 84-kWh battery pack; for comparison, the 77.4-kWh battery in the 2025 model allowed for charging at up to 10.9 kilowatts, which on a standard Level 2 charger can replenish in about seven hours. A DC fast charger can recharge the 84-kWh battery from 10% to 80% in up to 18 minutes as long as it’s charging at a 350-kW charging station. Every GV60 continues to have vehicle-to-load bidirectional charging capability, which allows the vehicle to power your home during a power outage or charge other EVs.
