If you’d like to dodge the steep price of a new EV and get into a used Lucid, the California-based automaker now has another option: its Lucid ReCharged certified pre-owned program.
Only Lucid vehicles that have had a single owner or lessee and have been driven fewer than 62,000 miles are eligible for the ReCharged program. Like standard used models sold through Lucid’s website, the CPO EVs are subject to a 164-point inspection that verifies all underbody panels are in place and that maintenance and software are up to date. The vehicles also undergo a brief road test and charging tests on 120- and 240-volt sources.
Unlike other pre-owned Lucid EVs, the CPO vehicles also undergo any necessary mechanical and cosmetic reconditioning using only brand-approved parts. Lucid can also upgrade eligible vehicles with the latest features, such as DreamDrive Pro semi-autonomous driving technology. In addition to being covered by the balance of the original four-year/50,000-mile warranty, Lucid ReCharged vehicles benefit from an extra 12-month/12,000-mile limited warranty, with complimentary roadside assistance for the duration of coverage. (Both ReCharged and standard used Lucid EVs are covered by a 10-year/100,000-mile warranty on their high-voltage batteries and powertrains.)
Does a Lucid ReCharged EV Cost More Than Regular Used?
Automakers tend to charge a premium for the additional peace of mind that CPO programs offer, but from a quick perusal of the (admittedly limited) ReCharged listings on Lucid’s website, it appears that any such upcharge is minimal. Prices for Lucid’s CPO vehicles are not consistently higher than those for regular used cars from the same year with similar mileage. With the 2026 Lucid Air starting north of $70,000 (including destination), a certified ReCharged example with fewer than 15,000 miles and a bonus year of warranty coverage for less than $45,000 sounds rather appealing.
