What’s the Tesla Model 3’s Range?
What Car Shoppers Need to Know
- Every single 2026 Tesla Model 3 boasts more than 300 miles of range.
- Multiple versions would separately make our list of electric vehicles with the longest range.
- The rear-wheel-drive Model 3 Premium has the longest range at 363 miles.
Tesla knows range. Every one of the automaker’s electric sedans and SUVs has more than 300 miles of range, and the soon-to-be-discontinued Model S leads the pack with as much as 410 miles per EPA estimates. In fact, Tesla’s full lineup makes our list of the EVs with the longest range, though only the Model S is in the top 10.
The brand’s most affordable EV, the Model 3, is the best of the rest, slotting at number 11. Its Premium rear-drive configuration earns a rating of 363 miles, though it also offers all-wheel drive. To show shoppers more options, our list of the longest-range EVs only accounts for each model’s highest-endurance trim, but even without the RWD Premium, two other Model 3s could also earn a spot among the top 15 EVs with the longest range.

Tesla Model 3 Maximum Range Vs. Competitors
It’s easier to fit more battery capacity in a bigger (and more expensive) vehicle. What makes the Model 3’s range even more exceptional is that it packages the necessary battery in such a compact car with a relatively attainable price tag. Twelve of the other longest-range EVs are significantly larger than the Tesla; the BMW i4 Gran Coupe is just slightly bigger, the Mercedes-Benz CLA a smidge smaller.
The Model 3’s advantage grows when compared to similarly sized EVs. And while the Hyundai Ioniq 6 is included for context below, note that it, too, is being largely discontinued for 2026.
2026 Tesla Model 3 Range Vs. 2026 Competitors

| Tesla Model 3 Premium | RWD | 363 | $43,880 |
