Winter Is Coming and Jeep Is Ready

As much of the country prepares for another bout of winter weather that will likely include snow, freezing temps, rain … and freezing rain, Jeep is putting the word out that its lineup is ready to tackle Old Man Winter’s nonsense. The automaker has announced cold-weather-equipped North Editions of several of its vehicles.

The North Edition trim will be available on several Jeep models. In addition to standard four-wheel drive with a brake lock differential, the models will include extra standards such as all-season or all-terrain tires, heated seats and steering wheel, power heated mirrors, remote start, all-weather floormats and tow hooks. Also standard on each model is the Jeep Trail Rated Kit, which adds a tow strap, D-rings, carabiner, gloves and safety kit.
North Edition pricing is as follows and includes a $1,495 destination charge:
- Jeep Cherokee (Latitude): $31,250
- Jeep Compass (Sport): $29,295
- Jeep Renegade (Sport): $28,165
- Jeep Gladiator (Overland): $47,215
- Jeep Wrangler (Sahara): $45,960
- Jeep Grand Cherokee (Laredo): $40,285
North Edition models are now on sale; Jeep said the Renegade North Edition will join the lineup in March.
For those worried about next winter (perhaps you should talk with your therapist about that one), Toyota’s two all-wheel-drive sedans — the Avalon and Camry — will be ready soon. The Camry AWD goes on sale this spring and the Avalon AWD will go on sale in fall.
