Reviews
Satified with final outcome.
I wrote a bad review about this dealership and can't seem to find it anymore I wont go over the whole thing again but the last thing I got from them was a note from the GM Mr. Dunton saying he would be in contact with me and that never happened. I wouldn't recommend this dealership to anyone. I have now been in contact with Mr Dunton and a reasonable effort was made to rectify my situation. I am ok with the conclusion and at this point would feel ok recommending this dealership to friends and family. My salesman Mr.Malmin was great and as stated before the Kia I bought seems to be a very good little car

dissatisfied customer
Very lazy in paying off vehicles that are traded in and refuse to return phone calls. The salesmen are very nice however they lack a lot in the finance department after the sale is done.

My phone number is 863-528-8950 I traded my car in over 2 weeks ago and the payoff has not been received by Kia Finance. This may not seem like a long time however I have been working really hard to keep my credit clean. I need to know when the payoff is being sent, how much is going to be sent and how it is going to be sent. Kim Snead
Completely shocked
Back in December 2014 I received solicitation from Brandon Kia, contacted them and they advised to come in. My husband and I went in and picked out a car. We were told few days later to come sign new papers are loan was approved . About the time are tag was expiring I went in asking what going on. The finance person had no idea anything wrong , he looked up our deal made a phone call and then said he needed some documents from me. I brought them in the next day and after some very in appropriate comments made by him to me, he said don't worry I got this. Well another month went by and I heard nothing. Called the lender and they said they had no loan for us. After having yet another major anxiety attack and again expired tags . I went and spoke with the General Mgr. Who informed me that they would get this taken care of. Now today 3 days since last meeting. And after I have sold my car to someone else . They are telling me " oh sorry" we can't get your loan done , you need to bring back the car and best we can do is not charge you for the days you have had the car . I mean seriously this is very very bad business. I know that sometimes deals do not get bought, however if they had not dropped the ball 2 months ago this would have been easily fixed and now I'm without any car .

Deeana, Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience as our customer is our number one priority. In regard to having to take back the car: if we are confident that a loan will be approved, we will sometimes let the customer take the car in good faith that the loan will go through with no issues. Unfortunately, in this case, we were unable to find any lending institution to approve your loan. At this point, taking the vehicle back was our only option. We understand this is frustrating, but to help soothe the situation, we did not charge you for the use or mileage on the vehicle. If there is anything else we can clarify for you, please do not hesitate to contact me. Andrew Dunton General Manager 813-579-5942

Great buying experience
This was my first experience with Courtesy KIA but it will not be my last. My salesman was Randall Stiff and while he was new to Courtesy, he was not new to the product I was looking for. He was very knowledgeable and showed great interest in all our questions. He provided immediate answers without having to go "consult" with someone else. He worked hard for our business as we are pretty adamant with our demands. The approval provided by Brett was fair and fast. The finance man was professional and yet very personable and helpful. All of the people there provided great service and we will be back. I recommend this dealership and in particular Randall Stiff. You cannot go wrong with this combination.

First-class service
I took my mother-in-law in there to find a replacement for her 2001 Honda Civic. We were greeted in the showroom by Andrew Dunton, who was very pleasant and easy to deal with. My MIL had no idea what she had in mind to purchase; Andrew made several recommendations and patiently went over what her needs and wants were. He gave us many options and after a few hours, my MIL walked out with a new 2014 Kia Soul. She has been extremely pleased with her purchase. In a few years, we will look forward to dealing with Andrew and Kia again - when my daughter is old enough to drive.

BEST DEALERSHIP EVER
Andrew and Sal were the best guys to deal with. I went in looking for a car and drove it home that night. Super friendly and efficient. Even after I have had my car for over a few months, they still checked up on me to see if I had questions or needed anything. Gorgeous dealership and very well run. I don't think anything else can compare to my Kia Optima and the service that Courtesy Kia provided me. Ask for either of these guys and you will be more than grateful.

"First time KIA owner"
Tony did wonderful job helping us through the entire process of buying our first KIA. He was very straight forward and professional. He did want needed to be done to close the sale while staying focused on our needs. Coming from a sales background myself I never felt pressured to go outside my comfort zone. All the folks I came in contact with were very friendly and professional. The dealership and service areas were clean and very well maintained. I hope my positive experience with KIA will continue for many years to come.

Updating our previous experience ... will now recommend.
Review Updated on Jan 27, 2014 With our bad experience (see below) and through this review, we were contacted by Mr. Andrew Dunton, General Manager of Courtesy Kia on Jan 14, 2015. We were actually very surprised that he asked us if there was anything he can do to make it up to us. We told him to just honor the internet price and give us the difference in price back. He did! We came by there on Jan 21 and got our check. He even gave us some free stuff. Thank you! We appreciate it very much that you cared about your costumers to personally took care of it. As he said it himself, they wanted to build a good relationship with their customers way after they bought their car. He even called Bryan Peoples again to go over everything about our new Kia Sedona. We also wanted to thank Bryan Peoples. As always Bryan was very nice to us from the very beginning. Thank you for helping us sync our cell phones and for giving us a tour and introduced us to the service dept., who were all very friendly. We are looking forward on our next experience with Courtesy Kia and we really hope we can now without reservation can give you a 5 star rating in the future.. Our Bad Experience review dated Dec. 23, 2014> We called to find out if the 2014 Red Kia Sedona LX on sale listed on the Internet was still available. Yes it was, we were told. When we got there the sales person we were supposed to have an appointment with, Armando, was with another costumer and we were given to Bryan who was very nice but told us the one we wanted was sold already but shown us a black Kia Sedona LX and a Red Kia Sedona EX. Since we did consider the 2014 Red Sedona EX. We showed Bryan Peoples the internet price of the EX, he showed it to his manager John Williams. Pretty much, John was the one we were talking to. John said it was a different Van with different options and gave us a different amount which was much higher than the internet price. We negotiated and thought he gave us a fair trade-in for our 2002 Kia Sedona EX. When we got home, we looked closely on the internet printout and there was a Vin#. To our surprised it was the same Vin # we just bought meaning it was the same Van! John LIED! NOW we understand why the price that John gave us was higher. He marked it up so that when the trade in was deducted it would be very close to the internet price. Meaning we just practically gave away our reliable and very clean 2002 Kia Sedona EX for free and paid higher than the internet sale price! The fact that he lied saying it was a different van hence higher priced because of more options than what was advertised on the internet when in fact it was the same Van he was selling really infuriates us! We emailed John and he responded that he did mark up the price so that the trade-in will show $1,582. WHAT? What good will it do? marked up the price to show a trade in but end up with the price without the trade in? He said he gave us that option, and that he told us that it was part of the discount to increase our trade amount and that we made the decision to proceed. Again...WHAT? that does not make any sense!!!. Still, the point is why did he say it was a different Van than advertised? ending up paying close to the internet price and giving our old van for free. That again does not make sense!!! if we knew we were getting the same Van being advertised for less and not the marked up good on paper with the trade in amount. What difference would it make? well our 2002 Kia Sedona's value even if the value as small as he said was appraised for still has value and we would not have traded it in or give it away to them and would be happy to just paid for the internet price being advertised with the incentives. Again if we knew we were buying the same Van being advertised! We liked the internet price advertised and with it were extra manufacturer offers available being advertised as well, but John again said since it was a different Van not the same so we would not get those incentives like: We did not get the $1,000 Kia loyalty even though we traded our old Kia Sedona because again John said it was a different Van and does not apply to us and that the Van we bought was not considered a new 2014 since it has 1000 miles on it? really? even though it says NEW and it was not titled to anyone? We also did not get the $400 for new graduate. My husband just graduated from Keiser University, again because not considered new as stated above. Not qualified. We are very disappointed. We would definitely will NOT recommend you or even buy another car from Courtesy Kia or any dealer with Courtesy name on it ever. We drove all the way from Lakaland to Brandon because of the internet price and end up having a very bad feeling we got taken advantage of after we got home. Not a good experience! We were not happy! Not happy at all! after realizing what had happened. We should not have bought the van on the first visit but with all the 5 stars reviews we thought we were in good hand. We were happy for all the people with great experiences with this dealer. We just wish we were one of them too but honestly we were not. John emailed us again and his email upsets us more! He practically said we are done and just enjoy your new Kia! We hope the owners at Courtesy Kia will take this seriously. You just lost a loyal Kia customers with 2 children that will be needing 2 new cars for college in the near future. We learned our lesson. We will take our business somewhere else. Buyers Beware. If ever you still decide to check out Courtesy Kia make sure you do not deal with or even go near John Williams III, very deceitful and untrustworthy person to deal with.
