2013 Paceman requires $5k in repairs weeks after purchase
Initially I was grateful to have found a fair deal on my son's first car, a used 2013 Mini Paceman. The car was clean and the dealership made sure that it delivered well. They took care of a few minor blemishes and a cracked windshield etc. We drove the car for about a week and then went on a two week vacation (so the car wasn't being driven). I decided to drive the car to work since it hadn't been driven in a couple of weeks. While out to lunch the service engine light came on. Mini of The Woodlands is around the corner from my job so I thought I'd get them to check it out, hoping it was something superficial like a bad gas cap seal. After nearly 2 hours the service tech told me that he was sorry to have to deliver the bad news but the turbo needed to be replaced, which cost over $5,000!!! The car has been in my possession for a few weeks and less than a thousand (about 400, I believe) Mini of The Woodlands was absolutely no help and was completely unwilling to take any ownership in selling a car that clearly needed repair. I mean seriously! Not so much as a "We're sorry, this sometimes happens" or anything. In my opinion, they could have been a little more stand up in their approach. Perhaps something like "Sir this is not a great deal for either of us. We would be willing to provide the labor if you will buy the part at cost"....No way was that happening. I simply got "Sir, you bought the car as is. If it needs repair, it's on you" It's incredible. This is a AutoNation company, I think and I am certain they are affiliated with BMW of The Woodlands as well as other local dealerships. Buyer Beware. These folks are in the car selling business and they don't care if the screw you over while doing it.

Deceptive service department replies
This is a reply to a previous review I left since there is no way for me to go back and edit my review or reply to the dealer's response. MINI of the Woodlands replied to my one star review urging me to contact their general manager. I have now tried three times to do just that; the first two never got me even to voicemail or where I could leave a message, they redirected me to a sales manager. The third time I at least got to leave a message, which has not resulted in a returned call. At least two service advisors, the service manager and their ticket system all have my cell number, the GM could reach out and call me 24hours a day, seven days a week, if he really wanted to. That has not happened and I will be it has not happened for anyone else they have replied to with that same canned reply.

Horrible service department
Terrible service department. Take in a car bought at that dealer, under factory warranty, then you have to call the service manager repeatedly (because he will not return your call) and finally file a complaint with corporate customer relations to get someone to call you, and to get an item fixed under warranty that is specifically listed as covered in your warranty paperwork. Then to add insult to injury, they charge you a $150 service fee to tell you the excessive battery drain light you have been seeing means you have opened the door too many times or left a light on repeatedly and that is what caused the error. No I did not. Lastly, when the service manager is asked point blank how much they are going to charge me he says $50, even MINI corp said $50, now the service department is saying that is $50 PLUS the $150 checkout. You know what, that’s fine, my wife and I both drive MINIs and belong to three different MINI car clubs, let’s see how many of those people shop at MINI of the Woodlands after hearing my story, certainly wont be my wife and I!

Wonderful Car Buying Experience
Absolutely wonderful experience today at Mini of The Woodlands. Our sales associate, Cole Sandoval, was by far the best car salesperson I have ever dealt with. Cole was very up front, honest, and communicated very effectively. He understood what we needed. The deal fell through due to problems on my end. Cole and the team were able to put something together with ZERO pressure that allowed us to take home our used car. My 14 year old said, Daddy, Cole seems to be a very good salesperson. Yup, he sure is. I cannot say enough about our experience. Although we are a solid middle class family, we were given red carpet, solid gold treatment by all.

Teamwork that gets you motoring
I truly appreciated the communication to both myself and amongst each other from those in service and out in the garage. Professionalism. The Woodlands location has always exceeded expectations whenever a serviceable event has occurred. Very early on I wasn’t sure about my buying decision of a fun car over a more senseable one, now that I am two years in I see that I am getting the best of both decisions.

I’ve never had more superior service in my life !
I would like to say the work ethic , kindness , human compassion , and care I receive from Mini of the woodlands is unparalleled . I have NEVER experienced this level of concern and care for guest to this level in all my years . I have purchased 2 cars from them and the service department exceeds my expectations every time always going the extra mile . Karey Galindo and the service manager deserve recognition of putting the guest first ! I will always recommend them . I have two mini dealers closer to me and I drive an hour with no traffic just to ensure a great experience !!! I have gone to sw mini and it’s not even remotely to the same level . Mini of the woodlands staff should be training all of the other mini dealers on how to treat and respect customers

Good but need some improvement
This is my first service experience with Mini of The Woodland for changing the break fluid and routin maintenance. To me, a two-hour wait for a routin maintenance is TOO LONG. Is it a standard practice? Facility is clean and comfortable, but coffee machine is out of the order & snack bar is missing. I have been to other Mini dealerships, and I believe the one in The Woodland can use some improvement on their hospitality.
