Chris was great! He made this stressful car-buying...

Chris was great! He made this stressful car-buying experience a delight. He was busy with other customers when I arrived on the lot, but that did not prevent him from greeting me and finding out what my needs were. I felt he made each customer he was working with feel significant and special. Not to mention it was less than forty-five minutes before closing time when I arrived, never once did he rush me or appear to be impatient or frustrated with my indecisiveness. I was not satisfied with the first couple of vehicles I test drove, and Chris encouraged me to continue to shop beyond dealership hours. I, indeed, found the car for me and am completely satisfied with my like-new 2011 Camry with very low mileage might I add. I'd visited several other dealerships before arriving to First Team Toyota that will remain nameless. The only reason I did not purchase from one of those dealerships was due to poor customer service. Chris Demaar knows customer service. Being a REALTOR and knowing much about customer service myself, I absolutely appreciated the service he provided to me and that I witnessed him provide to others, his product knowledge and tasteful sense of humor. I would gladly refer him to family, friends and strangers. Thanks, Chris. Keep up the good work!

Salesperson was prompt and very personable

My wife and I had a 1 pm appointment at First Team Toyota. The salesperson Scott Gallagher, was in front of dealership waiting for us. He was very personable and not high pressure(which I appreciated). The car was made ready for test drive and afterward we began discussion on availability and price. The negotiation on price went very smoothly since we had been quoted at price from web site sales representative. We agreed on a price and closed the deal. I sent my wife home with our current car(no trade in) and I waited for Toyota Corolla 2013 to be serviced for me to drive home. All financial aspects of sale went smoothly( since no trade in and paying cash) I was very satisfied that I was able to purchase a new car and drive it home in around 4 hours.

My little MINI

My wife and I just purchased a used MINI Cooper from First Team and worked with Chris Demaar who made a sometimes confusing and contentious process easy and amicable. He was very personable, knowledgeable and expedited the process so we were in and out in a little over an hour. I would highly recommend this dealership and Chris and the rest of the team to anyone in the market for a new or used car.

Great experience. Bartley was the salesman that I dealt with during my visit. He was very easy going and personable. He was all around GREAT to work with. I will defiantly be back to see Bartley for future vehicle purchases. I recommend that you go to first team Toyota and ask for Bartley.

Awesome purchasing experience! This was my 1st time purchasing a new car, but it was the smoothest car purchase ever in history! Thanks also Tommy Brady for your help with setting up my Entune, even though you weren't my salesperson. You rock & you all put the "T" in team. After purchasing a vehicle from another dealership, I was...

After purchasing a vehicle from another dealership, I was filling out a customer satisfaction survey for Toyota. I forgot the salesman's name I was dissatisfied with at First Team (Mr. Chris Demarr) and called to get his name from the receptionist. I described him and the receptionist forwarded the call to Mr. Demarr. I hung up after partially hearing his name. I then called the receptionist to verify his name ensuring it was spelled correctly. I then received a call from Mr. Demarr. I told him my name and asked him not to contact my home again. He called back and I told him again not to call. There is something wrong with this guy- who does this? I called his GM and explained the situation. I explained that Mr. Demarr seems to be mentally unstable and I'm fearful because I have a family and he knows my address and phone number. He said he would talk to Mr. Demarr and that he would never contact me. However, there is something serious wrong with Mr. Demarr and I don't believe that this will be the last I hear from him. I still can't believe that an auto dealership would put up with such nonsense. Please be cautious if you should deal with Mr. Chris Demarr of First Team Toyota!!!

Hampton Roads is filled with car dealerships and in my life I have bought from several from Hall to Phillips Mercedes. Our experience went beyond excellent with First Team Toyota. They are consummate professionals and incredibly easy to work with. Their inventory is outstanding and their pricing is clear, fair, and easy to understand. We bought two vehicles from them in the same day.

Total Package

I went in looking for a new Honda Accord and bought a new CRV (EX-L). I wanted my wife to be happy with her new car. The GM, Sales Manager and the salesman all worked to show her the best value. They let her make up her mind and not push her into anything she didn't want. They followed up after the sale. Great people to deal with. Thanks, Frank L

My wife and I visited First Team Toyota in May of this...

My wife and I visited First Team Toyota in May of this year. At that time we owned a 2010 Buick Enclave but was in need of a second car. We were greeted by Chris DeMaar. We were over whelmed by his friendlyness and knowledge of all the cars. We have never experenced a more truthful sale person. We bought the Camry and a month and a half later we went back and bought the 2011 Avalon from Chris. We truly believe the dealership is the very best in the area, we have delt with quite a few. Chris has given us outstanding customer service. Chris keeps in touch with us and is willing to help with all our needs. First Team Toyota is truly deserving of a 5 star rating.

I went in to First Team Toyota to look at new Prius's...

I went in to First Team Toyota to look at new Prius's just to get an idea of how much they cost, to help gauge the price of a used one. The salesman, Tommy Brady, was very helpful, providing excellent information about the cars and answering all my questions. He offered me a test drive and I took it, said thanks, and left (I was on my lunch break). At no time did I feel pressured. Later that day I came back to see what kind of offer I could get and in no time at all Tommy Brady and First Team Toyota gave me a very satisfactory offer and I was driving my new Prius home in about 2.5 hours.
