Steven was easy to work with and took the time to point out special features and hidden gems about our new (to us) car. Was helpful that he also owned the same brand in a similar model. However, whoever details their cars doesn't know how to detail a car very well as they supposedly did that twice to this car and when we drove out the front window was very smeared inside. If you can't use a clean rag on a window, it makes you doubt anything else got very attended to either. Maybe it was the lighting in the bay though. I know I've had the same issue at home at times. Dave, who fronted the negotiations, was somewhat helpful, almost comical (almost annoying over time) with his fast in - fast out of the "negotiating cubicle". While we feel we got a good and fair price for the car and for our trade-in, it would have been much easier if they'd just said yes the first time rather than waste time over 2 days to go back and forth to arrive at the same number we started with in the first place. I didn't expect to waste their time and told them our offer up front. I would have appreciated being told an easy yes or no the 1st time. Other than that, the staff we met were generally nice and helpful and we'd consider another purchase at Tri-State Nissan in the future.

Just to be clear. Dave was helpful and worked with us, (although when we didn't budge on our prices it'd been nice if they just took that step the first time, but that's a typical haggling car lot). I am grateful for his help as well. And Heather in the finance office did a good job explaining all the paperwork etc. To repeat, we would shop there again. We can recommend them easily, just be prepared for the "haggling car dance" some lots make you go through. But, as long as you both leave the negotiations happy, then I guess that's okay. Our thanks to all the staff who helped us. (Including Steve in Parts too who dug up nearly every option there is for our new Rogue! Thanks and see you for our first maintenance soon.)

My husband and I wanted to look at three different vehicles before making a decision. We had done our homework of the vehicles, knew we probably wanted to buy from Tri-State because we've purchased previous vehicles from them, but we didn't have a salesperson in mind. James Watkins approached us shortly after we began looking at vehicles on the lot. He worked with us until we made a decision--he was patient and provided pertinent information and answers to all of our questions, but didn't try a "hard sell" which both of us dislike. When we decided on the vehicle, he got us what we believe is a great price. James has a great demeanor--he is friendly, courteous, and professional. He and all of the employees with whom we had interactions made the buying experience a painless one (except for the payments, that is). I'd highly recommend Tri-State and James when you're looking to buy a new (or previously owned) vehicle.

Repairs were completed timely, but most important, a loaner car was available and waiting for me when I arrived. This is the most important issue because it is VERY difficult to get time off in order to service my vehicle.

First visit to this dealership and we will be back when in the market for another car. Very friendly and personable staff with a great knowledge of the vehicle we were test driving. All the staff we worked with (Brian, DJ and Heather) were very professional in everything they did with us. I have always hated the new car buying experience of haggeling over price, trade-ins and financing but there was a greatly reduced amount of this at this dealership. Hats off to manager David in having a great staff.
