Avoid Will Schmidt at Autos of Dallas
My experience with Will Schmidt was a toxic mix of fraudulent misrepresentation and negligence/incompetence. 1. Over text we were told a price and time frame. We flew into Dallas. Will Schmidt completely changed the price and timeframe. After showing Will the texts and 30 minutes of arguing, he said he had a “voucher”, walked out and “said” he changed the price. 2. Will Schmidt lied, he did not change the price and tried to get us to sign the documents as he hovered over us trying to tell us what the documents said. The documents had a different price from the one we agreed on. 3. Will Schmidt was negligent/incompetent. About to leave Will said he will change the price and timeframe to what we agreed on before. He didn’t. Then Will gave documents with someone else’s SSN and person information on it. In the medical profession, in many professions, you can lose your license for this. If I am the victim of identity theft I know who to seek criminal and civil action against. He seemed to just have everyone’s paperwork mixed up. 4. Will Schmidt lied again. He stated the warranty started from the end of the existing coverage. Again Will obnoxiously talks to you while you are reading the actual documents which say the warranty period is from when the document is signed. 5. Will Schmidt lied again. He said the warranty covered everything about five times. Then when you finally ask him specifics over and over he confesses it doesn’t cover the things you ask him about. 6. I have not yet decided to take legal action or contacted any licensing board as I have not so far suffered material damage. But stay away from him. Perhaps the rest of the department is decent, but as they say, one bad apple spoils the barrel. I would have left a decent review for Abraham but Will Schmidt’s lie on top of lie on top of lie, mixed in with incompetence, overshadowed anything I have to say that is positive about Autos of Dallas. My step father got a car here a while ago. Neither of us will shop here again. It has seemed to have gone downhill. I believe the other negative reviews about slimy finance relate to Will Schmidt.

Stay away
I am unfortunately a recent customer of Autos of Dallas. Dealership. I need to share with anyone who is looking to purchase from this organization their deceptive advertising practices. I requested documentation to validate the information I found on THEIR web site multiple times. The salesperson had many excuses on why the information was not delivered as requested but sent me pictures and videos with low quality. I even asked my salesperson to validate the data, and it was confirmed via text. This item was delivered to me, and they took my trade-in. Within 15 mins of delivery, I had the vehicle at my residence and inspected it. I soon realized they took advantage of me. I asked to speak with a manager or a person who has the authority to make decisions to help reconcile THEIR misrepresentation. I was told through a proxy that the GM would allow me to pick another vehicle and settle the difference. I was told through their GM (via proxy) that all of their vehicles within my category have been incorrectly labeled. Here is the issue, my trade-in vehicle is gone, and I am a disabled veteran (service-connected). I purchased a vehicle this way because it is necessary for me. Please find another dealership with integrity, because they do not have it.

Scammers
I purchased a pre owned Cadillac xt5 with 30k miles from Autos of Dallas last week. The salesman that helped me was Gabriel Mendoza who apparently lost his job a few days after he sold me my vehicle. I don’t live in Dallas so I had him send me video and pictures of the vehicle. I asked him to drive the vehicle on the freeway and to make sure it was running and stoping as it should. He assured me that everything was perfect, “like new” was his exact words. There was a delay in shipping me the vehicle because Gabriel told me that his manager wanted to put new tires in the rear because they were a little worn. He told me that all the fluids had been Changed and that the rear tires were replaced with BRAND NEW ONES. When I received the vehicle it was shaking so bad that we couldn’t even drive it. We took it to discount tires and they told us that the front tires were completely worn and uneven and very UNSAFE to drive on. They also told me that the rear tires were so old and worn that they also needed to be replaced. The sales manager at Discount Tire David Cranek told me that these were VERY UNSAFE TIRES and they were tires from 2016 and were not even the original tires that came on my vehicle since the vehicle is a 2017. I also had the oil light come on and had to take the vehicle to get an oil change. The oil was so old and the technician told me that the oil should have been replaced a long time ago. When I contacted Gabriel, he told me that he had not driven the vehicle because his manager wouldn’t allow him to drive it. After that conversation I never heard from Gabriel again and apparently he lost his job there. I called his manager TL RICKS and informed him of all this and that I had been lied about the test drive and the new tires and the oil change. I sent him a copy of my receipt from Discount Tire for a reimbursement and he laughed at me on the phone and said that I was funny. He wanted me to repeat my self so that he could laugh again. I have the entire conversation recorded for my records. I buy new vehicles every year from out of state and have never been SCAMMED like this . I couldn’t believe how I was treated by a so called MANAGER. I am a retired Marine and my wife is a 25 year school teacher, the disrespect and manipulation that we received from especially TL RICKS was very childish and uncalled for. This is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had with a dealership. I’ve emailed every single manager at this location and have yet to get a response. I wish they would just do the right thing. Buyer Beware!

They do not stand behind their vehicles. Purchased a 2017 Nissan Pathfinder in late summer 2020, it's now Oct 1. The motor needs to be replaced. I havent even made my first payment on the car and the dealer tags just now expired. Dealership wants to say Nissan is responsible and Nissan is saying dealership is responsible. Engine has sludge in it. Even showed the dealership a video of the car spewing out a thick white smoke when we start it up.

Very good car buying experience
I had the pleasure of working with Frankie Wells as a salesman and he was awesome. He was very tenacious in making sure I got the car that I wanted at a very good rate. Will, the finance guy was also amazing in getting me a good deal at a good monthly rate. I highly recommend Autos of Dallas. Once there, please ask for Frankie Wells. He was awesome!!!

Sold us a lemon and wont do the right thing
I purchased a used 2017 Nissan Frontier from this place at the end of the summer 2020. It had 38K miles on it. After we bought it we were told to bring it back a week later for a free oil change and brake pads. During that week the car started spewing out thick white smoke at start up. When we came back for the oil change and brake pads, we notified them of the issue and even showed them a video of the issue. The salesman took the car back for the maintenance and said he asked their service team to check out the issue with the smoke. He cam back and told us they couldnt get it to duplicate the issue and there was nothing that could be done. Well here we are about 3 months later. The check engine light came on, took it to a Ford Dealership for warranty of the Drivetrain. We paid them $225 to open up the engine to find sludge inside. Since it was sludge they denied the claim. As of right now, it's at my mechanics shop waiting for some kind of resolution. To replace the motor the cost is $9000. We havent even made our first payment on the car yet and the dealer tags have just now expired. Speaking with the dealership they said to threaten to get an attorney to sue Nissan. But Nissan said it's the dealerships responsibility. Now I know $9000 to everyone is a lot of money but $9000 is not a lot of money to a large dealership like this. I highly recommend to NOT BUY FROM AUTOS OF DALLAS. They do not stand behind their vehicles and have refused to do the right thing.

No communications
How the xxxx those people selling cars if they have no communications with buyers? Unless they are seating on salary and don't care about selling cars. Worth communications ever!!! Name of person I tried to communicate was Abraham Narvaez, Luxury Vehicle Specialist.

The beginning of the sales process was easy. A company...
The beginning of the sales process was easy. A company that delivers the vehicle? Perfect for someone like me who lives in San Antonio but found the perfect car in Dallas. As anyone would, I asked the salesperson, ANTHONY, multiple times if there was any damage to the vehicle. In which he kept replying no. I specifically asked MULTIPLE times if there are any scratches on the car in which he kept saying no. Since I could not physically see the vehicle, I trusted him which was a mistake. I go through with the purchase and receive the vehicle about a week later after I had to keep asking about the shipping. They did not inform me of it but I had to repeatedly ask. Everything about the car was fine until we noticed a scratch underneath the front bumper that looked like it was covered in whiteout. We didn’t notice the DEEP scratches at first because they are in a hard to see spot. ANTHONY and JOHNNY BOTH initially sent a vehicle of the car coming out of the car wash in which shaky recording was done but in one shot, if paused at the exact moment, you can clearly see the SEVERAL scratches underneath the front bumper. How are there scratches on the car during the wash but when arrived, it is covered up? This was clearly AUTO FRAUD and TRADE DECEPTION. After brining this to the attention of ANTHONY, his only response was “That’s what happens when you buy as-is”. They PURPOUSLY covered the scratches and were unwilling to assist. After getting nowhere with ANTHONY and JOHNNY, I reached out to one of the managers TL RICKS. I informed him of the situation in which he said he would check how a car was shipped out under those conditions. After WEEKS of me trying to call and only getting his voicemail, I finally got a response which was to get a quote and send it to them. I did so within a week. After following back up, he informs me this is “over his head” and he is unable to accommodate me. The total repairs are $1025. The least the dealership can do is to cover the cost after DELIBERATELY lying about the vehicle. Now, whenever I call to try and resolve this situation, I am sent to voicemail or hung up on. I have ALL of the text messages from everyone I spoke to at the dealership about the vehicle having any scratches in which they all repeatedly LIED about and said no to, then tried to cover it up. You know how a used car dealership salesperson conjures up a sleezy image? That is exactly what these people are. CROOKS. Main points from this: This dealership is perfectly ok with LYING to their clients They will NOT try to fix their LIE They will AVOID you at any cost if something is found out about the car Salespeople and managers DON’T care about clients They will LIE, LIE, and LIE to get a sale

Do not buy a car here!
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. They sold me a car with a tire that had a fairly severe leak and refused to address it afterwards. Sales experience was great, but once you take the car home they have no interest in doing right by you as a customer.
