Bought a vehicle there.

Bought a vehicle there. Not a good experience. High pressure on the warranties and other things post-sale. Got a bad trade in offer. Service center is slow. They improperly repaired our vehicle after a minor accident. Went in again to look for another vehicle and they low-balled a trade again (by as much as $5k) and tried to get me in vehicles I didn't want. I don't trust them. Go somewhere else.

I can't give negative stars so they'll get one star.

I can't give negative stars so they'll get one star. They had my Tundra for a week making some major repairs. One week after getting my truck back my engine begins ticking and then sounding like a bag of hammers while leaking oil. I had my truck towed to Gates on a Sunday afternoon. Monday morning first thing I called Service manager "Brad" and explained that I'm under very tight time constraints (under contract to sell me house and move) and what was going on. I spent ten minutes explaining to him how urgent this needed repaired. He assured me that they would get right on it and let me know. Nick in service (the service writer) called me around 1130 trying to tell me that I had a cracked radiator hose (they had these hoses off a week prior and didnt mention it, plus he wanted me to pay 200 bucks to replace it. When I asked him about the rattling and oil leaks he knew nothing about it and told me he'd get his ducks in a row and call me back). Service manager Brad called me just after noon on Monday and said that they drove my truck 20 miles and they didn't hear anything and did not see any leaks. (so it took them five hours to do an hour's worth of driving and looking). He asked if I wanted him to keep it and drive it some more and I told him that I did want them to drive it because we have several camping trips coming up that are several hours away from home and I didn't want to chance having the truck break down. Fast Forward to today (tuesday at noon). No follow up at the end of the day yesterday and I had to call them and leave numerous voicemail for Brad, Nick and the General Manager. I then called the operator back and asked her to page someone for me. Finally got Brad on the phone and he was clueless again and said he was in meetings all morning. I challenged him and asked who was in charge of following my repair while he was in meetings and he stammered and didn't have an answer for me. This dealership only cares about getting money from you and not actually making you feel important or taking care of their workmanship issues. When I get my truck back I'm taking it to another toyota dealer and getting a second opinion. I do not trust them and will never be visiting with them again - nor will I recommend this dealership to anyone for purchasing a vehicle (and several of my family members own toyotas).

Could have ruined my truck engine.

Oil change was botched, paperwork was not for my vehicle. Wrong filter could have ruined my engine. Leaking from an obviously smaller filter, mechanic that redid the job showed me the difference in size and how much it had leaked going from one service door to the other, shocking! Service advisor at the oil change shop passed me on to a Toyota service advisor and he made sure the oil change was done properly. Do not trust the quick change shop!

Gates Toyota I am a car consultant and people hire me

Gates Toyota I am a car consultant and people hire me to buy or sell their vehicles. I have been doing this for 45 years. My background is asset management. During my nationwide search for a Prius I came across one in South Bend Indiana. Our salesman was Mike Gray , a young man who went the extra 10 % to achiveve the sale. After I had the car inspected by Lemon Squad , I gave the report to Mike, ,which stated it was in need of new tires. With out hesitation he went and got approval for 4 new tires. I will always keep my eye on Mike as he travels through the car industry. Very wholesome and honest.

Took my 2023 Corolla in 5000 mile service.

Took my 2023 Corolla in 5000 mile service. The service department broke my front bumper then tried to hide it by just tucking my splash guards on the wrong side of one another. I get a call telling me that they will fix their damage if I pay 800 dollars. This is beyond deceitful. Gates has a horrible service manager who hung up on me. Extremely professional kind of response. Stay as far away from Gates as possible. Very deceitful people across-the-board. Buyer beware!

If you want to be scammed, this is the place to go.

If you want to be scammed, this is the place to go. They do not operate honestly and are more than eager to cheat you out of money and/or your vehicle. Go ANYWHERE else. This place seems establishment connected and I feel is likely as corrupted as it gets. DO NOT surrender your desirable vehicle to these people, chances are you'll never drive it again.

Super service

Needed a bake actuator pump on my 2008 Prius. At 210000 and 15 years old a new one was to costly. The parts dept went on a search and found one in the after market and saved me half the cost of replacing it. Super nice people. Brian in the device dept went above and beyond to get me what I needed.
