Jeep Service

The service team at Ferman Jeep does a great job. They are very professional and my Jeep is serviced quickly as my free time is always limited.

Service 2/16

Mike has been extremely helpful in explaining the needed the maintenance and addressing the warranty items with the Patriot. The time waiting for the vehicle to be serviced has been quick and the items have been addressed with no need to return for the same issue.

My review

The experience of shopping for and buying a used car was not something I was looking forward to. However, Ken G. made the experience enjoyable and I felt good about my purchase. I would definitely recommend this dealership to my friends and family.

Buying process could use some tweaking

Our experience was positive however, we did have to wait for quite a long time for the paperwork to be printed up then met with the financial officer to sign papers. Not until we met with the financial officer were we presented with extended warranty information. It would have been much more efficient if they would have given us the warranty paperwork to review while we were waiting for the paperwork to be completed.

Auto Purchase

The sales team of Ken Gilliam & Daniel were very responsive to my early inquires regarding the 2015 Audi Q5 that I was interested in at the time. Having made my VIP appointment for 10 AM on 01/08/2016 I was met by Daniel and then Ken. Ken was very professional, courteous and personal during the entire purchase process. The closing process with the financial team and Daniel & Ken's assistance was very quick and simple. I am extremely satisfied with vehicle purchased and the purchase experience.

Paint drivers side passenger door due to scratches.

I kept putting off repair, to fix scratches, on the drivers passenger door because I thought it would cost too much. I inquired on the whim. I was surprised by the very reasonable cost to repair, so I brought it in the next day to the Mobille Repair Unit. My eight year old Jeep looks like new again!

Frustrating and disappointing

They sold us a Ram 1500 truck and told us the towing weight was 10,000,but salesman Forgot or didn't know that it had the lowest gear and would only tow 8300lbs.Now we can't purchase the toy hauler that we have on order. At first the manager said he would make it right. Said they could change gear, now they say can't be done, but they would sell us another truck. Well We can't afford bigger more expensive truck! Oh the manager also said that a weight of 8800lbs. Was in our paper work, not true!!! And where did he get those numbers . We called Chrysler and they said gear could be changed but it would be costly and its up to dealership .Not happy at all, hard To find toy hauler that truck will tow .

Dealer response

Richard, We feel bad for you in your situation, however you were told by both the Sales manager and the salesperson at the time you were deciding on which truck to purchase, what the pulling capacities were. If you ordered a hauler that is to big or heavy, we cannot be held responsible for that. Both manager and salesperson shared with you that that truck would pull 8800 lbs and your response was , "that will be fine". Again we are very sorry you have this feeling however the statement in the review that says we told you 10,000l;xx is just not true.

Still waiting for my Jeep to be repaired....

On 28 December, 2015, I bought a 2007 Jeep Wrangler from the Ferman dealership on State Road 54, in Lutz. 100 yards from the lot, the service engine and passenger airbag warning lights came on. I brought it back to them for service, and got it back, two days later. Managed to drive my Jeep for a day and a half, before the lights came on again. Back it went to the service department. This time, it was in for most of an afternoon, and afterward, the warning lights stayed off for several hours. I called to schedule a third appointment, meant to take place on Martin Luther King day. I was really worried about thé vehicle ' s safety, but was told that as long as thé lights weren't flashing, it wasn't urgent. That Friday night, as I was driving home from work on I75, the Jeep's transmission failed in traffic. Couldn't shift gears except to third. I managed to pull off of the highway, and called AAA. The Jeep was towed back to Ferman service department, where it has been, ever since. I have a warranty package which I was assured would protect me in case anything went wrong with the vehicle, but there were some issues at first with whether or not I had to pay over 1,200 dollars to repair a Jeep I'd scarcely been able to drive. As a good will gesture, Ferman elected to repair the Jeep for thé warranty's 100 dollar deductible, for which I am very glad. It is supposed to be fixed up, safe and ready to drive, this Monday (01 Feb 16). Fingers crossed. ....

Dealer response

Mathgirl, we apologize for the experience that you have had with us and the Jeep you bought. Please allow me to apologize on behalf of the dealership for this. We try to accomodate everyone when ever we can,. In looking into this file, we did have a problem in the beginning in which the dealership took care of the issues. We know that you purchased an extended service plan for your 2007 Jeep which has 115,732 miles when you bought it, however that waranty or really any warranty that we have doesn't ever cover a "clutch". The transmissipn is fine, and we are not sure what happened to the clutch. However The dealership again is putting in a new clutch as a good will gesture and we are absorbing that 1200.00 expense for you as the warranty you have is very good but again, there is no warranty that we have that covers a clutch which is a wear in tear item. I hope you are comfortible enough with us in knowing that we are doing the right thing for you and we hope that this will allow you to have great faith in us in the future. Thank you for the review and for your business.
