I had excellent service when I purchased my Toyota Tacoma...

I had excellent service when I purchased my Toyota Tacoma in September, 2000 from Checkerd Flag Toyota. Therefore,I returned to this dealership when I was ready to purchase another vehicle. Again, my experience with Checkered Flag was favorable. The sales staff and servie department have always been very prfessional and willing to satsisfy the customer.

Jun Garvida was very helpful. He is very courteous, he has called me a couple of times to make sure that everything was going good and if I was satisfied with my purchase. This was my first experience of buying a car and Jun made it very easy. I would recommend Jun to my family and friends as well.

I have never been a fan of salesman. In fact after...

I have never been a fan of salesman. In fact after nearly thirty years of driving I have never purchased a new vehicle; I did not want to deal with the salesman and their lines. Finding myself in a situation where I needed a reliable car I decided to check in with a couple of dealerships for pricing. When I found Checker Flag Toyota on-line I started looking for information on their Camry. Before I knew it I was heading to the dealership to test ride a new car. That is when my wife and I met Jim Bowman. He was extremely professional, personable, and friendly. He made the trip to the dealership enjoyable, unlike how I thought it would go. There was no pressure, and no sales pitches or lines of crap. I respected that. I was also glad to find out Jim is a Military Veteran who served for over twenty years on active duty with the US Marine Corp. Jim is a Great Man, his service is and was outstanding. I would highly recommend Jim Bowman as a person to contact, for anyone considering purchasing a vehicle.

Kudos to the sales team at Checkered Flag Toyota in...

Kudos to the sales team at Checkered Flag Toyota in Virginia Beach,VA - Bill, Jennifer and Suzanne! Last Saturday I went to another dealer down the road. I told them my financial situation and they weren’t eager to work with me. I later drove into the lot at Checkered Flag, rolled down the window and asked Bill Peterson if he had a 2009 model or a demo on the lot. I repeated the same thing I had told the other dealer. He said “It sounds like you want to keep the payment down. Come on in and we’ll work something out’. He was very patient, professional and kind. I never dreamed I’d leave with a beautiful 2010 Corolla! Jennifer Brown was awesome too. She didn’t push things on me that I couldn’t afford but tailored a warranty to meet my needs and budget. I didn’t spend much time with Suzanne but she was also very friendly and positive! If the President of the United States had been there that day to buy a car I don’t think he would have been treated any better than I was. This is my 4th Corolla. I’ll go back in 3 years or 70,000 miles to see them again! Nancy Jackson Virginia Beach

Typical dealership but tried real hard to trick me into...

Typical dealership but tried real hard to trick me into spending the entire ammount of my prepaid check. They were deceptive and sneaky with the deal numbers. If u use this dealership make sure u take your time and check the math before you sign anything! They talk fast and try to confuse the buyer with lots of numbers and crossouts on the deal form, BEWARE!

Courteous, responsive, professional. Our car purchase experience was very pleasant. Overall customer service at the Checkered Flag Toyota dealer was significantly better than what we encountered at the Honda. I will definitely recommend this dealership to other people. Thanks Chris Pratt

I would recommend this dealership because of the outstanding assistance of Michael Yuan. He was very friendly and courteous and has a genuine concern for his customers. I would therefore recommend this dealership to my friends and family and recommend Michael Yuan as the sales person for them to contact when buying their vehicle.

A++ My experience at this dealership was great from...

A++ My experience at this dealership was great from start to finish. I had wanted to stay away from "big" dealerships, thinking that they would be more expensive or have less of a used car selection. After spending my first couple days looking around mom & pop dealerships I was very dissapointed. Their selections were unorganized, crammed to capacity, over priced and looked like they had just arrived from the auction. The salesmen were pushy and kept trying to upsale me into a more expensive car than I could afford. (dirty & very used looking ones at that) I know I'm "used" car shopping, but presentation counts! To whom I owe thanks - I found Checkered Flag Toyota while passing by after one of the afore mentioned dissapointments. I was greeted by Jim Bowman and let out a breath of fresh air. He was patient and listened to what I needed. (under $10,000 and reliable!) After seeing that he didn't have anything on his lot to match my needs we went inside to check the other Checkered Flag stores. We found some of interest and made an appt. for the weekend to test drive them. He was so patient with me (and my daughter) when I wanted to drive EACH car... He gave his honest opinion about each of them which I appreciated! Being 26 and a single mom, I don't know much about cars. That Saturday we found another car that I instantly wanted. It was an 07 Yaris for only $10,400.. A great deal. I wanted that car! However, Jim called me the next day and said a guy had just traded in an 02 Accord (older than what I wanted). He was VERY adament that I needed to come see it. Reluctantly, I went there to take it for a spin. I am SO glad that Jim was so insistent about this car. It's perfect. Roomier than the Yaris and just a better car and loaded, an unexpected perk. He knew what I needed even when I didn't. Jim had a bunch of people hounding him for the car, but he graciously held it for me and wouldn't let anyone else purchase it! That was AWESOME!! My dad was helping with the financing which put in a couple wrinkles to the scenario, but Jim handled it easily and quickly and was able to get me in the car when I needed. I just had such a great experience with this dealer. They really took the stress out of buying a car and I recommend them to anyone and everyone!! Thanks Jim, Amy

I had a wonderful experience...James was perfect to work...

I had a wonderful experience...James was perfect to work with and understood my needs and situation. He suggested a lease, which was something I would have never considered, but was perfect for my situation. I love my car. It has the perfect amount of amenities.
