I received a call from a representative informing me of a recall for my truck. We scheduled an appointment and the service was completed a couple of days later. I was alerted ahead of time of the amount of wait time for the service and the vehicle was returned as promised.

We purchased a RV and needed the brake controller pin on the 7 pin hitch ( factory one on the bumper) to be checked, my test said it didn’t work. I explained this in detail to Epi Rodriquez and he clearily wrote this on the work order. As I was in the waiting area, the technician called me explaining the pin was working and sent me a video of the instrument he was using. It wasn’t until later I realized the video was taken inside the vehicle, not at the 7 pin plug on the rear bumper. So, I sccepted he had it working and after paying a $240 diagnostic fee, took the vehicle. I hooked it up to the RV and determined the brakes still weren’t working. I then purchased my own tester and clearily the brake controller pin didn’t work. So, I took the Tundra to Texas Hitch in Austin and they confirmed it wasn’t working so I had them fix it which they did very professionally and it now engages the brakes on the RV. We’ve owned over 15 Toyotas since 1980, the first being a Corona. We’ve purchased 2 Toyotas from your dealership and my son has purchased one from you at my recommendation. I am having a hard time getting over your service departments insistence the Tundras brake controller pin was working basically implying I didn’t know what I was doing. At this time, my intention will be to use San Marcos Toyota for future service work and purchases, trust is a hard thing to restore.

Service was fast, but maintenance light was left on and tire pressure was not adjusted as it should have been with the maintenance package I purchased. It’s about a 20 mins. commute to get to this service center so it was a disappointment to not have the complete service done.

Toyota Body Shop

Jerry at the body shop was awesome. He worked with my schedule and kept me updated on the repairs. 10 out of 10 for sure. His office manager is also super friendly and helpful and she even called me after I got my car back just to make sure that everything was OK and asked me if I had any questions. Great customer service in the body shop.
