Jeep Wrangler
As pleasant as any new car purchase can be. Shack was helpful and walked me through the whole process. This was our second purchase from this dealer.

Never had a dealership that would not negotiate
I was trying to purchase a used vehicle. Dealer would not negotiate the price. Listed price was best and final. Very disappointed in buying experience.

RUDE, CON ARTISTS, DISRESPECFUL, JUST AWFUL
They sold me a lemon. The car had been in a major accident but they gave me a Carfax that was cleared. Be careful with these guys.

Great Experience
Everybody at the dealership was very helpful and nice. The finance office explained everything in great detail and even help me to decide to get a maintenance agreement for the car. A great experience all around I’m sure I’ll be back to buy something else .

Less-Than-Ethical Practices. Use Caution.
Let me begin my saying that I do really enjoy the truck I purchased. However, I generally don't like the car buying experience because car dealerships have a reputation for less-than-ethical tactics so I constantly feel I have to be on my toes – hard to do for 5 or 6 hours. This particular interaction only helped solidify that reputation in my mind. I have several issues, but the main one that seems "scammy" to me relates to Dealer Added Options. I came in under the pretense of the online price I saw on the truck only to be told that, nope, that's not the price because we added $1400 in options that you have no say in. That's great, but nowhere did I see online (and I reviewed it several times before and after this encounter) that these options were added or could be added. Your salesman then told me it was "illegal" to show these add-ons in the online price - I don't buy that, to be honest. (Frisco Dodge lists these added options right on their website. Are they breaking some law or FCA rule? Doubtful.) I also never saw a cost breakdown of these add-ons, but I’m sure they were priced well over their fair market value. My second issue was Gap insurance. $899! When going over the cost of the truck, this was added on as a “Service Contract” without my knowledge and glossed over; just asking that I sign the price sheet. I had to physically back up and ask about it because "Service Contract" is questionable. I’m lucky that my mom has been a bank loan officer for 30 years and quickly pointed out that gap insurance really isn’t needed in my case and $899 was absurd (her bank charges $325). I get you are trying to make commission and profit, but at least tell me about it and that it’s optional. To top it off, when I demanded it was taken off, it was conveyed to me as you did ME a favor by taking it off. I feel sorry for the people who don’t buy cars every day and don’t understand all of these different items tacked on to the price. Finally, you charged me for things that you never gave me. First, included in the price were “rubber floor mats” as a factory option on the window sticker. I didn’t realize they were missing (or included) until I got back home and had to contact someone to inquire about it. They did manage to find some to put in my truck, but I still had to make the trip back to the dealership to fix their mistake. Second, you charged me $249 tax for “painted pin striping” (this was one of those add-ons). I honestly didn’t realize there were not pinstripes until later that weekend. (What color pinstripe looks good on a blacked out truck?) I did bring it to your attention and the loan paperwork was redone without this added cost. My question is how a charge ended up on the purchase price without it actually being done. What would have happened if I never noticed it? What happens to others that don’t notice it? It’s a free $250 to you I guess; again just shady. I do hope these were just oversights and not done on purpose to inflate the price of the truck. With all the other tactics and things done, I’m actually not so sure it was just an accident. As I said, overall, I enjoy the truck. I can’t say that the same for the overall experience. It’s these types of tactics that give car dealerships a negative reputation – intentional or not – and doesn’t make anything better when you charge for things that you forget or don’t actually include.
