Looking for a specific Tacoma to replace my existing one, I spent several weeks searching and contacting over four (4) dealerships close to my home, NONE... returned any calls or emails. Evidently, they didn't want to sell a truck or they felt I wasn't serious. I was definitely buying one and actually contacted my local dealer 4 times by email and left 3 voice messages (without one being returned), and a few others twice each with no response. I searched more on the internet every few days and found the exact truck I wanted on Cars.com with Thurston Toyota. I immediately contacted the dealer early in the morning Thursday by email through the Cars.com site as well as their own website. I got a call within an hour along with several emails from them and made a contingency purchase over the phone. Friday morning I drove 200mi to the dealership to finalize the deal. Does that tell you I was ready to buy!!! Upon arriving the truck in question was ready to go. I parked mine near it and the sales manager (Jeff) was impressed on how well my truck looked (I take care of things). My only reason for trading was I am now in need of a 4x4. We sat and discussed trade-in and sale price from the day before over the phone and I was ready but wanted a little more for my truck. Jeff got close enough (within 10%) of my request and I approved. Also getting some off the MSRP, I felt the deal was good for both. Overall it was a pleasant purchasing transaction. We covered the different aspects of the truck that I didn't have on my old one, took a test drive and then had him explain a few features to make sure I knew how to work them (even though I'll go through the owners manuals). I can't say thank you enough for their attention to the customer. After all, we're helping them too. If you or your friends/family/acquaintances are in the need for a new Toyota (or even Chevrolet they sell them too) be sure to give them a shout out. You will NOT be disappointed.
