Until Michael Lira President of Lira addresses a series of ethical issues from top down and bottom up, this has the strongest possibility of negative outcomes if you attempt to purchase a vehicle a vehicle at a sister Lia dealership through your local Lia dealership in which needs the vehicle needs to be transported to your regional Lia dealership. Breach of contract is common place for customers who attempt this route to secure their preferred vehicle. Lia Northampton sales manager Chris Peltier will shirk responsibility and say, “this happens all the time in the industry” and General Managar Myron Callander will try to make things right taking more accountability but not actually follow through in correcting a situation in simply getting your deposit refund returned in the least red tape way is fraught with inconsistency in process, communication, and delivery. He did share yesterday this is the 3rd instance of this happening in Lia just this month and all the general managers are trying to address this. This was 14 days into March he shared this happened and agreed it is unacceptable. Michael Lia, president will return an email but and apologizes but does so in a way suggesting he’s letting his regional managers sort this out and hopefully win you back as a customer. A Better Business Bureau representative even dismissed the claims that the report against should be on the Lia dealership that sold the car from out from Northampton Lia and that if the contract is with Northampton Lia that is who the claim gets filed. If you want dismissive finger pointing, have your deposit tied up for 14 days from initial signed purchase agreement to actually getting it refunded in which you have to call them every step of the way and there was not communication from the until Michael Lia got involved, Lia Toyota of Northampton is your place. I’ve seen other reviews in which someone posted about the same thing in January with them. I was assured this is not the “industry standard” of having cars sold from out of signed purchase agreements by the Better Business Bureau and two dealerships I now trust and will be considering. Clean it up Michael Lira or don’t offer the ability to purchase and put down payments on cars at your sister lots.
