2024 Genesis G90

Automakers Genesis and Kia (related brands under the Hyundai family) are recalling certain vehicles over an issue that increases the risk of a fire.

Hyundai and luxury arm Genesis are issuing a recall for more than 294,100 vehicles over an issue with the front seat belts.

The Genesis G80 and G90 luxury sedans have both earned Insurance Institute for Highway Safety Top Safety Pick+ awards for the 2024 model year despite stricter requirements to qualify for the status.

These cars offer panoramic moonroofs or sunroofs either as standard or optional equipment for 2024.

In a battery of tests evaluating driver-assist features for seven different parameters, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave not one of 14 tested systems its top rating of good.

The 71 vehicles that qualified for the awards for 2024 is an increase of 23 over 2023, when stricter requirements began to take effect.

Along with general excellence, the best cars represent ultimate luxury in their class and/or are exceptionally well-rounded, providing luxury along with above-average usability and drivability.

Having just launched the second-generation G90 for 2023, Genesis changed little for 2024.
