Hyundai Veloster

Hyundai is recalling more than 54,600 vehicles over an issue with the fuel pump, which could lead to a loss or reduction of drive power.

To combat a wave of vehicle theft, Hyundai and Kia have developed a software fix and will even be sponsoring mobile clinics to install the software in five U.S. cities.

Hyundai has issued a recall for more than 26,100 examples of its Veloster hatchback over an issue with the rear parking sensor that could lead to a fire.

The software upgrade attempts to make older Hyundai vehicles more resilient to theft by modifying their vehicle control modules to not only activate the factory alarm when locking the doors, but also a special “ignition kill” feature that prevents thieves from starting the vehicle.

As shoppers’ preferences have shifted to larger SUVs and pickup trucks, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that 10 out of the 14 discontinued vehicles are sedans or hatchbacks.

Depending on the model, buying a car with a manual transmission can save shoppers anywhere from $800 to $5,500 (if it grants you any savings at all).

The 2021 Hyundai Veloster N is fun to drive and now comes with more standard performance features, not to mention an available eight-speed automatic transmission.
