Volvo V70

Following a recall of S60 and S80 sedans for the same reason, Volvo is issuing a recall for 2001-07 V70 and XC70 wagons to fix faulty airbag inflators.

Approximately 307,900 Volvo sedans, SUVs and wagons are being recalled for fatiguing seat belt cables.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Volvo 
 has agreed to pay a $1.5 million penalty to settle the charge.

For its summer sales event, Volvo offers longer free-maintenance plans on 
 2013 models and allowing buyers to waive payments on 2012 models.
